Jako me veseli što je "Architectual Digest" uključio naše igralište pod Minčetom među najljepše na svijetu već prije nekoliko godina, a sada je izabrano kao najljepše.
Veseli me jako što je neko primijetio kada napravite nešto dobro i kvalitetno, mada je pogled s igrališta jedinstven i na njega nisam imao utjecaja. Nisam vidio još taj članak, no poslali su mi ga po društvenim mrežama uz čestitke – kaže to projektant Željko Peković, autor uređenja jedinstvenoga košarkaškog igrališta pod dubrovačkom Minčetom koji je upravo ponio titulu najljepšeg od osam košarkaških igrališta na svijetu u izboru specijaliziranog časopisa "Architectural Digest".
Biti uopće sa svojim projektom u ovom časopisu posebna je čast za ljude od struke.
Dubrovčani rođeni na Pelinama, pod Minčetom, odnosno svi koji su i prije uređenja igrali na ovom igralištu, prenose ovih dana na društvenim mrežama fotografije iz djetinjstva snimljene na ovom jedinstvenom mjestu gdje su stisnuti uz gradske zidine pod tvrđavom, napravili prve korake u basketu. Puno je tu toplih uspomena.
- Onima koji imaju sreće zaigrati košarku na igralištu na krovu uz gradske zidine u Dubrovniku to će iskustvo zacijelo ostati u sjećanju do kraja života. Ne samo da je igralište napravljeno na starom gradskom krovu, nego je pogled na Jadransko more poput bajke - pišu u spomenutom časopisu.
Uz Dubrovnik, na top listi su igrališta u New Yorku, Torontu, San Diegu i kod Siem Reapa u Kambodži, te dva u Parizu.
No posjetitelji zidina na prvu neće znati kako se košarka na ovom mjestu igrala desetljećima, među travom, betonom, šutom, smećem koje se tu nakupljalo, no nije ometalo svakidašnju igru. Niti što je ispod igrališta.
Teren "na divlje" postojao je godinama, na njemu su košarku i druge igre igrale generacije Dubrovčana, no tek su od 2003. počeli radovi da se postigne sadašnji izgled. Kako je to izgledalo priča arhitekt Željko Peković:
- Grad Dubrovnik je bio investitor i htjeli su popraviti igralište, odnosno napraviti ga po modernim mjerilima i onda smo mi najprije napravili nekoliko sondi u zemlju. U povijesnoj jezgri ne smijete ništa zabetonirati da ne provjerite imali nečega ispod. Sondamasmo tako otkrili ljevaonicu.
Godinama je sve rađeno doksu se pronašla potrebna sredstva i dok se sav taj nasip iskopao. Bilo je oko 2000 kubika koja su sva prošla kroz ona mala vrata od igrališta! Arheološko nalazište ljevaonice koju smo našli, pokrili smo armirano betonskom pločom na koju smo vratili igralište, a u podzemlju je ostao dostupan arheološki muzej.
Osim Grada Dubrovnika sredstva je dalo Društvo prijatelja dubrovačke starine, riječ je o nešto manje od 12 milijuna kuna, za igralište, podzemni arheološki lokalitet ljevaonice i za kulu Gornji ugao koja je također uređena – objašnjava Peković.
Ljevaonica, kula igralište završeni su 2011. no za ovaj projekt samo su arheološka istraživanja koštala 3 milijuna kuna. Dodajmo i kako je Grad prije dvije godine obnovio i podlogu igrališta i to na način da je napravljena posebna podloga u pet slojeva, koja ne bi trebala tražiti dodatna ulaganja u održavanje za 10 godina.

Jako me veseli što je "Architectual Digest" uključio naše igralište pod Minčetom među najljepše na svijetu već prije nekoliko godina, a sada je izabrano kao najljepše.
Veseli me jako što je neko primijetio kada napravite nešto dobro i kvalitetno, mada je pogled s igrališta jedinstven i na njega nisam imao utjecaja. Nisam vidio još taj članak, no poslali su mi ga po društvenim mrežama uz čestitke – kaže to projektant Željko Peković, autor uređenja jedinstvenoga košarkaškog igrališta pod dubrovačkom Minčetom koji je upravo ponio titulu najljepšeg od osam košarkaških igrališta na svijetu u izboru specijaliziranog časopisa "Architectural Digest".
Biti uopće sa svojim projektom u ovom časopisu posebna je čast za ljude od struke.
Dubrovčani rođeni na Pelinama, pod Minčetom, odnosno svi koji su i prije uređenja igrali na ovom igralištu, prenose ovih dana na društvenim mrežama fotografije iz djetinjstva snimljene na ovom jedinstvenom mjestu gdje su stisnuti uz gradske zidine pod tvrđavom, napravili prve korake u basketu. Puno je tu toplih uspomena.
- Onima koji imaju sreće zaigrati košarku na igralištu na krovu uz gradske zidine u Dubrovniku to će iskustvo zacijelo ostati u sjećanju do kraja života. Ne samo da je igralište napravljeno na starom gradskom krovu, nego je pogled na Jadransko more poput bajke - pišu u spomenutom časopisu.
Uz Dubrovnik, na top listi su igrališta u New Yorku, Torontu, San Diegu i kod Siem Reapa u Kambodži, te dva u Parizu.
No posjetitelji zidina na prvu neće znati kako se košarka na ovom mjestu igrala desetljećima, među travom, betonom, šutom, smećem koje se tu nakupljalo, no nije ometalo svakidašnju igru. Niti što je ispod igrališta.
Teren "na divlje" postojao je godinama, na njemu su košarku i druge igre igrale generacije Dubrovčana, no tek su od 2003. počeli radovi da se postigne sadašnji izgled. Kako je to izgledalo priča arhitekt Željko Peković:
- Grad Dubrovnik je bio investitor i htjeli su popraviti igralište, odnosno napraviti ga po modernim mjerilima i onda smo mi najprije napravili nekoliko sondi u zemlju. U povijesnoj jezgri ne smijete ništa zabetonirati da ne provjerite imali nečega ispod. Sondamasmo tako otkrili ljevaonicu.
Godinama je sve rađeno doksu se pronašla potrebna sredstva i dok se sav taj nasip iskopao. Bilo je oko 2000 kubika koja su sva prošla kroz ona mala vrata od igrališta! Arheološko nalazište ljevaonice koju smo našli, pokrili smo armirano betonskom pločom na koju smo vratili igralište, a u podzemlju je ostao dostupan arheološki muzej.
Osim Grada Dubrovnika sredstva je dalo Društvo prijatelja dubrovačke starine, riječ je o nešto manje od 12 milijuna kuna, za igralište, podzemni arheološki lokalitet ljevaonice i za kulu Gornji ugao koja je također uređena – objašnjava Peković.
Ljevaonica, kula igralište završeni su 2011. no za ovaj projekt samo su arheološka istraživanja koštala 3 milijuna kuna. Dodajmo i kako je Grad prije dvije godine obnovio i podlogu igrališta i to na način da je napravljena posebna podloga u pet slojeva, koja ne bi trebala tražiti dodatna ulaganja u održavanje za 10 godina.
Mirita! Najljepše je! Samo da na njemu bude što više djece.
