U organizaciji udruge "Permakultura Dalmacije" u Sinjskom polju se, u okviru akcije "Zasadi stablo, ne budi panj", zasadilo 300 sadnica stabala.
Akcija je provedena uz rijeku Cetinu, na potezu između Kerepa i Despotuše. Osim osvješćivanja građana o višestrukoj važnosti drveća u ukupnom ekosustavu, cilj aktivnosti bilo je iniciranje ponovnog podizanja vjetrozaštitnog pojasa čime bi se najveće polje srednje Dalmacije polje moglo intenzivno obrađivati bez bojazni od erozije potaknute vjetrovima.
Sinjsko polje, najplodnija krška ravnica u srcu Dalmacije, s površinom većom od 6000 hektara, danas nema nikakav vjetrozaštitni pojas. Drvoredi podignuti polovicom prošloga stoljeća su uništeni, naročito grabežnom sječom tijekom 90-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, a pokušaj uspostave novih spriječeni su - devastacijom.
Tako se sada u cijeloj toj ravnici kroz koju protječe rijeka Cetina od nekadašnjeg vjetrozaštitnog pojasa sačinjenog od drvoreda topola mogu pronaći tek tragovi. U okviru projekta komasacije i melioracije Sinjskog polja, za što je projekt napravljen u tada renomiranom poduzeću "Dunav-Tisa-Dunav", početkom druge polovice 20. stoljeća u Sinjskom polju zasađeno je više od 42 tisuće sadnica hibridne topole i njima napravljen drvored ukupne dužine 140 kilometara.
Budući da je bilo riječ o brzorastućoj vrsti stabala, topole su se izvrsno razvijale i dosegnule su vrijednost tehničkog drveta.
Osim što su odlično obavljala primarnu namjenu zaštite oranica i pašnjaka od udara vjetra, stabla su postala izvor sirovine za proizvodnju drvne ambalaže i paleta u drvoprerađivačkoj tvrtki "Naprijed" iz Sinja, koja je u to vrijeme imala oko 300 zaposlenih. Od prodanog drva topola lokalna vodoprivredna zajednica djelomično je financirala obnovljanje drvoreda.
Time je tadašnji vjetrozaštitni pojas u polju dobrim dijelom postao samoodrživ. Onda su se dogodile ratne godine kada su topole postale predmetom grabeža i pljačke imovine koja se mogla smatrati javnom, a u glavama naših ljudi "svačijom i ničijom".
Istovremeni pokušaj ponovnog podizanja pojasa s novim drvnim vrstama, kada je od 1992. do 1995. godine zasađeno oko 11 tisuća sadnica arizonskog i običnog čempersa, crne johe, crnog bora, koštela, hrasta lužnjaka i drugih, neslavno je propao.
Dio zasađenih stabala odmah je bio počupan, dio je polomljen, dio su oštetile domaće životinje, dio je uništen u nekontroliranim požarima...
Uglavnom, danas u Sinjskom polju vjetrozaštitnog pojasa - nema. U takvim okolnostima najnovija sadnja 300 stabala od strane članova i prijatelja udruge "Permakultura Dalmacije" hvale je vrijedna inicijativa za obnovu toga pojasa.
Do tada je, zapravo, dobro što je veliki dio Sinjskog polja neobrađen, pod korovom ili travnim smjesama.
Zahvaljujući tomu bura koja se s padina Kamešnice spušta na oranice ne odnosi najplodniji dio zemljišnog tla prema Mosoru.

U organizaciji udruge "Permakultura Dalmacije" u Sinjskom polju se, u okviru akcije "Zasadi stablo, ne budi panj", zasadilo 300 sadnica stabala.
Akcija je provedena uz rijeku Cetinu, na potezu između Kerepa i Despotuše. Osim osvješćivanja građana o višestrukoj važnosti drveća u ukupnom ekosustavu, cilj aktivnosti bilo je iniciranje ponovnog podizanja vjetrozaštitnog pojasa čime bi se najveće polje srednje Dalmacije polje moglo intenzivno obrađivati bez bojazni od erozije potaknute vjetrovima.
Sinjsko polje, najplodnija krška ravnica u srcu Dalmacije, s površinom većom od 6000 hektara, danas nema nikakav vjetrozaštitni pojas. Drvoredi podignuti polovicom prošloga stoljeća su uništeni, naročito grabežnom sječom tijekom 90-ih godina prošloga stoljeća, a pokušaj uspostave novih spriječeni su - devastacijom.
Tako se sada u cijeloj toj ravnici kroz koju protječe rijeka Cetina od nekadašnjeg vjetrozaštitnog pojasa sačinjenog od drvoreda topola mogu pronaći tek tragovi. U okviru projekta komasacije i melioracije Sinjskog polja, za što je projekt napravljen u tada renomiranom poduzeću "Dunav-Tisa-Dunav", početkom druge polovice 20. stoljeća u Sinjskom polju zasađeno je više od 42 tisuće sadnica hibridne topole i njima napravljen drvored ukupne dužine 140 kilometara.
Budući da je bilo riječ o brzorastućoj vrsti stabala, topole su se izvrsno razvijale i dosegnule su vrijednost tehničkog drveta.
Osim što su odlično obavljala primarnu namjenu zaštite oranica i pašnjaka od udara vjetra, stabla su postala izvor sirovine za proizvodnju drvne ambalaže i paleta u drvoprerađivačkoj tvrtki "Naprijed" iz Sinja, koja je u to vrijeme imala oko 300 zaposlenih. Od prodanog drva topola lokalna vodoprivredna zajednica djelomično je financirala obnovljanje drvoreda.
Time je tadašnji vjetrozaštitni pojas u polju dobrim dijelom postao samoodrživ. Onda su se dogodile ratne godine kada su topole postale predmetom grabeža i pljačke imovine koja se mogla smatrati javnom, a u glavama naših ljudi "svačijom i ničijom".
Istovremeni pokušaj ponovnog podizanja pojasa s novim drvnim vrstama, kada je od 1992. do 1995. godine zasađeno oko 11 tisuća sadnica arizonskog i običnog čempersa, crne johe, crnog bora, koštela, hrasta lužnjaka i drugih, neslavno je propao.
Dio zasađenih stabala odmah je bio počupan, dio je polomljen, dio su oštetile domaće životinje, dio je uništen u nekontroliranim požarima...
Uglavnom, danas u Sinjskom polju vjetrozaštitnog pojasa - nema. U takvim okolnostima najnovija sadnja 300 stabala od strane članova i prijatelja udruge "Permakultura Dalmacije" hvale je vrijedna inicijativa za obnovu toga pojasa.
Do tada je, zapravo, dobro što je veliki dio Sinjskog polja neobrađen, pod korovom ili travnim smjesama.
Zahvaljujući tomu bura koja se s padina Kamešnice spušta na oranice ne odnosi najplodniji dio zemljišnog tla prema Mosoru.
