Čvarci su najskuplji među svinjskim delicijama. Skuplji su čak i od pršuta, sušene pancete, buđole ili kulena.
Cijena čvaraka u trgovačkim centrima kreće se u rasponu od 130 do 250 kuna ovisno o proizvođaču. Proizvođači će reći da kvalitetan čvarak zahtijeva kvalitetnu sirovinu do koje nije lako doći. Suvremeni uzgojni trendovi preferiraju takozvane mesnate svinje čija genetika jamči više mišićnog i manje masnog tkiva. Budući da se čvarci proizvode od čvrstog masnog tkiva, to ujedno znači manje dostupne sirovine za njihovu proizvodnju. Od jedne svinje, koja u trenutku klanja u prosjeku teži od 125 do 130 kilograma moguće je dobiti tek tri do četiri kilograma kvalitetne masnoće za topljenje od čega se nakon topljenja dobije tek 300 grama čvaraka.
Hrvatska je 1984 godine imala 2,2 milijuna utovljenih svinja a danas ima manje od 800 tisuća. Ulaskom na EU tržište gdje je prisutna hiperprodukacija svinjetine počele su propadati domaća gospodarstva koja su tovila svinje. No i to bi se moglo promijeniti zbog rata u Ukrajini i poremećaja na tržištu poljoprivrednih i stočarskih proizvoda. Naime, Ukrajina je u EU izvozila preko 750 tisuća tona svinjetine a ne treba zanemariti ni uvoz žitarica i stočne hrane koja je svakim danom sve skuplja. Stoga bi se hrvatski farmeri mogli okrenuti vlastitoj proizvodnji stočne hrane čime bi se zaokružio proizvodni proces a Hrvatsko tržište bi bilo sigurno od poremećaja, poskupljenja pa u konačnici i nestašica svinjetine i prerađevina od svinjskog mesa.

Posebno su cijenjeni kvalitetna mast i čvarci od crne slavonske svinje-fajferice. Riječ je o autohtonoj pasmini koja se drži na otvorenom. Hrani se žitaricama, kukuruzom, bundevama, djetelinom. Meso joj je iznimno kvalitetno i bogato intermuskularnom masti zbog čega je ovo jedna od ponajboljih domaćih svinja za proizvodnju masti.
Tradicionalno je vrijeme svinjokolja. Svinje posljednjih godina samo rijetki drže po oborima pa ljudi sve češće po trgovačkim lancima kupuju gotove svinjske polovice, pancete, umbule i pršute pa ih suše za vlastite potrebe, što je itekako jeftinije od gotovih suhomesnatih proizvoda na policama trgovačkih centara. S obzirom na paprene cijene čvaraka ali i cijene ulja neki će zasigurno krenuti u topljenje svinjske slanine kako bi dobili i mast i čvarke. Kilogram masti s obzirom na svoju gustoću teži kao 1.25 litara, pa tako dolazimo do zaključka da je u ovim vremenima krize isplativo ulje zamijeniti sa svinjskom masti, koja je opet u trendu.

Čvarci su najskuplji među svinjskim delicijama. Skuplji su čak i od pršuta, sušene pancete, buđole ili kulena.
Cijena čvaraka u trgovačkim centrima kreće se u rasponu od 130 do 250 kuna ovisno o proizvođaču. Proizvođači će reći da kvalitetan čvarak zahtijeva kvalitetnu sirovinu do koje nije lako doći. Suvremeni uzgojni trendovi preferiraju takozvane mesnate svinje čija genetika jamči više mišićnog i manje masnog tkiva. Budući da se čvarci proizvode od čvrstog masnog tkiva, to ujedno znači manje dostupne sirovine za njihovu proizvodnju. Od jedne svinje, koja u trenutku klanja u prosjeku teži od 125 do 130 kilograma moguće je dobiti tek tri do četiri kilograma kvalitetne masnoće za topljenje od čega se nakon topljenja dobije tek 300 grama čvaraka.
Hrvatska je 1984 godine imala 2,2 milijuna utovljenih svinja a danas ima manje od 800 tisuća. Ulaskom na EU tržište gdje je prisutna hiperprodukacija svinjetine počele su propadati domaća gospodarstva koja su tovila svinje. No i to bi se moglo promijeniti zbog rata u Ukrajini i poremećaja na tržištu poljoprivrednih i stočarskih proizvoda. Naime, Ukrajina je u EU izvozila preko 750 tisuća tona svinjetine a ne treba zanemariti ni uvoz žitarica i stočne hrane koja je svakim danom sve skuplja. Stoga bi se hrvatski farmeri mogli okrenuti vlastitoj proizvodnji stočne hrane čime bi se zaokružio proizvodni proces a Hrvatsko tržište bi bilo sigurno od poremećaja, poskupljenja pa u konačnici i nestašica svinjetine i prerađevina od svinjskog mesa.

Posebno su cijenjeni kvalitetna mast i čvarci od crne slavonske svinje-fajferice. Riječ je o autohtonoj pasmini koja se drži na otvorenom. Hrani se žitaricama, kukuruzom, bundevama, djetelinom. Meso joj je iznimno kvalitetno i bogato intermuskularnom masti zbog čega je ovo jedna od ponajboljih domaćih svinja za proizvodnju masti.
Tradicionalno je vrijeme svinjokolja. Svinje posljednjih godina samo rijetki drže po oborima pa ljudi sve češće po trgovačkim lancima kupuju gotove svinjske polovice, pancete, umbule i pršute pa ih suše za vlastite potrebe, što je itekako jeftinije od gotovih suhomesnatih proizvoda na policama trgovačkih centara. S obzirom na paprene cijene čvaraka ali i cijene ulja neki će zasigurno krenuti u topljenje svinjske slanine kako bi dobili i mast i čvarke. Kilogram masti s obzirom na svoju gustoću teži kao 1.25 litara, pa tako dolazimo do zaključka da je u ovim vremenima krize isplativo ulje zamijeniti sa svinjskom masti, koja je opet u trendu.
