Indeks potrošačkih cijena za siječanj, koji mjeri promjene u troškovima hrane, stanovanja, benzina, komunalija i drugih dobara, porastao je za 7,5 posto u posljednjih 12 mjeseci. To je obilježilo najveći porast inflacije u posljednjih 40 godina, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Galopirajuće cijene osnovnih namirnica, kućnih potrepština, kozmetičkih proizvoda, plina i tako dalje tjeraju sve više Amerikanaca da mijenjaju svoje kupovne navike. No, najviše su pogođene obitelji s niskim primanjima, a povećanje cijena namirnica i plina glavni je pokretač rastućeg jaza u nejednakosti.

Nedavno je stručnjakinja za ekonomiju i podatke dr. Lindsay Owens na Twitteru podijelila poučno objašnjenje o tome kako korporativna pohlepa utječe na sve nas. “Dok čitate današnje izvješće o inflaciji, obratite pozornost na ono što govore izvršni direktori koji određuju cijene. Dočepali smo se najnovije serije izvješća o zaradi, i ono je ludo”, napisala je Owens u objavi od 10. veljače koja je od tada postala viralna.

Prema njezinim riječima, korporativni direktori hvale se ulagačima da su nepotrebno povisili cijene kako bi dodatno zaradili, dok svi za problem krive inflaciju i covid poticaje. Potom je iznijela nekoliko konkretnih primjera, navodeći imena tvrtki koje su se u to upustile, prenosi The Economist.

Prije samo četiri dana, nakon Owensine viralne teme, Glavni ekonomist Groundwork Collaborativea Rakeen Mabud odgovorio je sljedećom izjavom: “Korporativni sastanci priopćenja o zaradi su prepuni izvršnih direktora koji se hvale kako mogu koristiti inflaciju kao pokriće za svoja povećanja cijena. Ove više cijene stvaraju veći pritisak na obitelji i mala poduzeća koja se jedva nose s ovim problemima – a sve to dok izvršni direktori i dioničari ostvaruju rekordnu neto dobit. Najbolji način da se snize cijene je ponovno osposobiti naše opskrbne lance i pokrenuti ih pametnim ulaganjima sada – i spriječiti dominantne korporacije da ih isprazne ili koriste za akumuliranje još veće tržišne snage.”

Groundwork Collaborative je također naveo nekoliko primjera kako ljudima šteti pandemijsko profiterstvo i dizanje cijena. “Dionice Tyson Foods Inc. porasle su u ponedjeljak za više od 11 posto na najviši nivo u povijesti nakon što je tvrtka izvijestila da se dobit u prvom tromjesečju gotovo udvostručila zbog rastućih cijena mesa u SAD-u.”

Drugi slučaj bio je Starbucks. Citirajući New York Times, u priopćenju za javnost stoji: “Starbucks će ove godine povećati cijene, rekao je div kave u utorak, okrivljujući poremećaje lanca opskrbe i nagli rast troškova rada. U posljednja tri mjeseca prošle godine, dobit tvrtke porasla je 31 posto, na 816 milijuna dolara, rekao je Starbucks u izvješću o svojoj tromjesečnoj zaradi u utorak. Prihod je narastao na 8,1 milijardu dolara, što je skok od 19 posto u usporedbi s istim tromjesečjem prije godinu dana.”

Indeks potrošačkih cijena za siječanj, koji mjeri promjene u troškovima hrane, stanovanja, benzina, komunalija i drugih dobara, porastao je za 7,5 posto u posljednjih 12 mjeseci. To je obilježilo najveći porast inflacije u posljednjih 40 godina, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Galopirajuće cijene osnovnih namirnica, kućnih potrepština, kozmetičkih proizvoda, plina i tako dalje tjeraju sve više Amerikanaca da mijenjaju svoje kupovne navike. No, najviše su pogođene obitelji s niskim primanjima, a povećanje cijena namirnica i plina glavni je pokretač rastućeg jaza u nejednakosti.

Nedavno je stručnjakinja za ekonomiju i podatke dr. Lindsay Owens na Twitteru podijelila poučno objašnjenje o tome kako korporativna pohlepa utječe na sve nas. “Dok čitate današnje izvješće o inflaciji, obratite pozornost na ono što govore izvršni direktori koji određuju cijene. Dočepali smo se najnovije serije izvješća o zaradi, i ono je ludo”, napisala je Owens u objavi od 10. veljače koja je od tada postala viralna.

Prema njezinim riječima, korporativni direktori hvale se ulagačima da su nepotrebno povisili cijene kako bi dodatno zaradili, dok svi za problem krive inflaciju i covid poticaje. Potom je iznijela nekoliko konkretnih primjera, navodeći imena tvrtki koje su se u to upustile, prenosi The Economist.

Prije samo četiri dana, nakon Owensine viralne teme, Glavni ekonomist Groundwork Collaborativea Rakeen Mabud odgovorio je sljedećom izjavom: “Korporativni sastanci priopćenja o zaradi su prepuni izvršnih direktora koji se hvale kako mogu koristiti inflaciju kao pokriće za svoja povećanja cijena. Ove više cijene stvaraju veći pritisak na obitelji i mala poduzeća koja se jedva nose s ovim problemima – a sve to dok izvršni direktori i dioničari ostvaruju rekordnu neto dobit. Najbolji način da se snize cijene je ponovno osposobiti naše opskrbne lance i pokrenuti ih pametnim ulaganjima sada – i spriječiti dominantne korporacije da ih isprazne ili koriste za akumuliranje još veće tržišne snage.”

Groundwork Collaborative je također naveo nekoliko primjera kako ljudima šteti pandemijsko profiterstvo i dizanje cijena. “Dionice Tyson Foods Inc. porasle su u ponedjeljak za više od 11 posto na najviši nivo u povijesti nakon što je tvrtka izvijestila da se dobit u prvom tromjesečju gotovo udvostručila zbog rastućih cijena mesa u SAD-u.”

Drugi slučaj bio je Starbucks. Citirajući New York Times, u priopćenju za javnost stoji: “Starbucks će ove godine povećati cijene, rekao je div kave u utorak, okrivljujući poremećaje lanca opskrbe i nagli rast troškova rada. U posljednja tri mjeseca prošle godine, dobit tvrtke porasla je 31 posto, na 816 milijuna dolara, rekao je Starbucks u izvješću o svojoj tromjesečnoj zaradi u utorak. Indeks potrošačkih cijena za siječanj, koji mjeri promjene u troškovima hrane, stanovanja, benzina, komunalija i drugih dobara, porastao je za 7,5 posto u posljednjih 12 mjeseci. To je obilježilo najveći porast inflacije u posljednjih 40 godina, prenosi Slobodna Dalmacija.

Galopirajuće cijene osnovnih namirnica, kućnih potrepština, kozmetičkih proizvoda, plina i tako dalje tjeraju sve više Amerikanaca da mijenjaju svoje kupovne navike. No, najviše su pogođene obitelji s niskim primanjima, a povećanje cijena namirnica i plina glavni je pokretač rastućeg jaza u nejednakosti.

Nedavno je stručnjakinja za ekonomiju i podatke dr. Lindsay Owens na Twitteru podijelila poučno objašnjenje o tome kako korporativna pohlepa utječe na sve nas. “Dok čitate današnje izvješće o inflaciji, obratite pozornost na ono što govore izvršni direktori koji određuju cijene. Dočepali smo se najnovije serije izvješća o zaradi, i ono je ludo”, napisala je Owens u objavi od 10. veljače koja je od tada postala viralna.

Prema njezinim riječima, korporativni direktori hvale se ulagačima da su nepotrebno povisili cijene kako bi dodatno zaradili, dok svi za problem krive inflaciju i covid poticaje. Potom je iznijela nekoliko konkretnih primjera, navodeći imena tvrtki koje su se u to upustile, prenosi The Economist.

Prije samo četiri dana, nakon Owensine viralne teme, Glavni ekonomist Groundwork Collaborativea Rakeen Mabud odgovorio je sljedećom izjavom: “Korporativni sastanci priopćenja o zaradi su prepuni izvršnih direktora koji se hvale kako mogu koristiti inflaciju kao pokriće za svoja povećanja cijena. Ove više cijene stvaraju veći pritisak na obitelji i mala poduzeća koja se jedva nose s ovim problemima – a sve to dok izvršni direktori i dioničari ostvaruju rekordnu neto dobit. Najbolji način da se snize cijene je ponovno osposobiti naše opskrbne lance i pokrenuti ih pametnim ulaganjima sada – i spriječiti dominantne korporacije da ih isprazne ili koriste za akumuliranje još veće tržišne snage.”

Groundwork Collaborative je također naveo nekoliko primjera kako ljudima šteti pandemijsko profiterstvo i dizanje cijena. “Dionice Tyson Foods Inc. porasle su u ponedjeljak za više od 11 posto na najviši nivo u povijesti nakon što je tvrtka izvijestila da se dobit u prvom tromjesečju gotovo udvostručila zbog rastućih cijena mesa u SAD-u.”

Drugi slučaj bio je Starbucks. Citirajući New York Times, u priopćenju za javnost stoji: “Starbucks će ove godine povećati cijene, rekao je div kave u utorak, okrivljujući poremećaje lanca opskrbe i nagli rast troškova rada. U posljednja tri mjeseca prošle godine, dobit tvrtke porasla je 31 posto, na 816 milijuna dolara, rekao je Starbucks u izvješću o svojoj tromjesečnoj zaradi u utorak. Prihod je narastao na 8,1 milijardu dolara, što je skok od 19 posto u usporedbi s istim tromjesečjem prije godinu dana.”
