Europski sud pravde (CEJ) u Luksemburgu odlučio je da “poslodavci mogu zabraniti zaposlenicima nošenje islamskih marama koje pokrivaju glavu jer su to vidljivi vjerski simboli”. Riječ je o zabrani isticanja "bilo kakvih političkih, filozofskih ili religijskih oznaka" na radnom mjestu a povod presudi su slučajevi dvaju žena koje su dobile otkaz s radnih mjesta u Belgiji i Francuskoj jer su odbile skinuti tradicionalne marame.
Radi se o prvoj takvoj odluci CEJ o problemima žena koje nose islamske marame na glavi na radnom mjestu. Obrazlažući presudu, CEJ je naveo je kako ta zabrana mora biti zasnovana na internim pravilima kompanija koje zahtijevaju da se svi zaposleni oblače "neutralno", a ne temeljem želja bilo kojih kupaca i(li) klijenata.
Podsjetimo, nošenje morama je sporno pitanje u više europskih zemalja, osobito u Francuskoj u kojoj se pridaje veliki značaj odvajanju državnih i religijskih institucija.

Europski sud pravde (CEJ) u Luksemburgu odlučio je da “poslodavci mogu zabraniti zaposlenicima nošenje islamskih marama koje pokrivaju glavu jer su to vidljivi vjerski simboli”. Riječ je o zabrani isticanja "bilo kakvih političkih, filozofskih ili religijskih oznaka" na radnom mjestu a povod presudi su slučajevi dvaju žena koje su dobile otkaz s radnih mjesta u Belgiji i Francuskoj jer su odbile skinuti tradicionalne marame.
Radi se o prvoj takvoj odluci CEJ o problemima žena koje nose islamske marame na glavi na radnom mjestu. Obrazlažući presudu, CEJ je naveo je kako ta zabrana mora biti zasnovana na internim pravilima kompanija koje zahtijevaju da se svi zaposleni oblače "neutralno", a ne temeljem želja bilo kojih kupaca i(li) klijenata.
Podsjetimo, nošenje morama je sporno pitanje u više europskih zemalja, osobito u Francuskoj u kojoj se pridaje veliki značaj odvajanju državnih i religijskih institucija.
