Vukovarska braniteljica Fanika Janko, voditeljica jedine hrvatske ženske braniteljske zadruge ‘Medene ruke’ dugo je razmišljala o tome što bi prijateljskom gradu Dubrovniku mogla ponuditi umjesto jeftinih kineskih suvenira. U to vrijeme s kolegicama je već ispekla svoju prvu seriju medenjaka u obliku vukovarske golubice mira, a onda joj je do ruku došao kipić dubrovačkog sveca zaštitnika Svetog Vlaha s natpisom ‘Made in China’.

Ukusni suvenir

Dvojbe su odmah nestale, parac je odabran kao motiv za izvorni hrvatski slatkiš koji je postao novi zaštitni znak Feste. ‘Medene ruke’ su se povezale s prijateljicama iz dubrovačke Udruge Deša kako bi ideju zajedničkim snagama proveli u djelo:

- Znali smo da s medenjacima kao darom ne možemo pogriješiti. Lijepo izgleda, sigurno neće skupljati prašinu i pojest će se na kraju. I tako su nastali medenjaci Svetoga Vlaha – otkriva Fanika tajnu ukusnih suvenira koji već trinaestu godinu u različitim pojavnim oblicima krase hrvatske trpeze diljem Lijepe naše.

Voditeljica zadruge Fanika Janko recept za dubrovački medenjak Svetoga Vlaha ‘posudila’ je svojedobno iz stare kuharice iz 1902. koju je čuvala baka jedne od članica, Zrinke Merčep rođene Kukuljica, s očeve strane podrijetlom iz okolice Dubrovnika. Vrijedne vukovarske žene dosad su izradile niz prepoznatljivih suvenira za svaki veći hrvatski grad. Pula je tako dobila arenu, Rijeka morčiće, Zagreb besmrtne kumice, Zadar svetog Donata, Split Dioklecijanovu palaču... kvaliteta proizvoda brzo je prepoznata, zaredale su narudžbe od trgovina, pojedinaca do ustanova, među najvećima se pamti ona iz 2013., kad su uz primanje Hrvatske u članstvo EU iz Vlade naručili po tisuću komada medenjaka iz svakog našeg grada.

Slijedi novi ‘kontingent’

Što se Dubrovnika tiče, prvi su slatki ‘odljevi’ parca predstavljeni lani na Good Food festivalu nakon uspješno odrađene radionice s Dešom u Lazaretima, otkad postaju nezaobilazni dio dekora Feste. Valja napomenuti i kako, osim neobičnog izgleda, medenjake Svetog Vlaha odlikuju redom zdravi sastojci, nema škodljivih masti, ali meda kao prirodnog sastojka ne nedostaje.

Fanika za sljedeći parčev blagdan najavljuje novi ‘kontingent’ medenih svetih Vlaha. Brine je tek što donosi budućnost jer zadruzi treba pomlađivanje.

Vukovarska braniteljica Fanika Janko, voditeljica jedine hrvatske ženske braniteljske zadruge ‘Medene ruke’ dugo je razmišljala o tome što bi prijateljskom gradu Dubrovniku mogla ponuditi umjesto jeftinih kineskih suvenira. U to vrijeme s kolegicama je već ispekla svoju prvu seriju medenjaka u obliku vukovarske golubice mira, a onda joj je do ruku došao kipić dubrovačkog sveca zaštitnika Svetog Vlaha s natpisom ‘Made in China’.

Ukusni suvenir

Dvojbe su odmah nestale, parac je odabran kao motiv za izvorni hrvatski slatkiš koji je postao novi zaštitni znak Feste. ‘Medene ruke’ su se povezale s prijateljicama iz dubrovačke Udruge Deša kako bi ideju zajedničkim snagama proveli u djelo:

- Znali smo da s medenjacima kao darom ne možemo pogriješiti. Lijepo izgleda, sigurno neće skupljati prašinu i pojest će se na kraju. I tako su nastali medenjaci Svetoga Vlaha – otkriva Fanika tajnu ukusnih suvenira koji već trinaestu godinu u različitim pojavnim oblicima krase hrvatske trpeze diljem Lijepe naše.

Voditeljica zadruge Fanika Janko recept za dubrovački medenjak Svetoga Vlaha ‘posudila’ je svojedobno iz stare kuharice iz 1902. koju je čuvala baka jedne od članica, Zrinke Merčep rođene Kukuljica, s očeve strane podrijetlom iz okolice Dubrovnika. Vrijedne vukovarske žene dosad su izradile niz prepoznatljivih suvenira za svaki veći hrvatski grad. Pula je tako dobila arenu, Rijeka morčiće, Zagreb besmrtne kumice, Zadar svetog Donata, Split Dioklecijanovu palaču... kvaliteta proizvoda brzo je prepoznata, zaredale su narudžbe od trgovina, pojedinaca do ustanova, među najvećima se pamti ona iz 2013., kad su uz primanje Hrvatske u članstvo EU iz Vlade naručili po tisuću komada medenjaka iz svakog našeg grada.

Slijedi novi ‘kontingent’

Što se Dubrovnika tiče, prvi su slatki ‘odljevi’ parca predstavljeni lani na Good Food festivalu nakon uspješno odrađene radionice s Dešom u Lazaretima, otkad postaju nezaobilazni dio dekora Feste. Valja napomenuti i kako, osim neobičnog izgleda, medenjake Svetog Vlaha odlikuju redom zdravi sastojci, nema škodljivih masti, ali meda kao prirodnog sastojka ne nedostaje.

Fanika za sljedeći parčev blagdan najavljuje novi ‘kontingent’ medenih svetih Vlaha. Brine je tek što donosi budućnost jer zadruzi treba pomlađivanje.
