Zbog jakog juga koje je jučer poslijepodne rasplamsalo požar u okolici Dubrovnika, županijski vatrogasni zapovjednik Stjepan Simović u pomoć je pozvao i vatrogasne snage otoka Korčule. 

Kako doznajemo od zapovjednika DVD-a Korčula Franceska Verazze, otočni su vatrogasci spremno odgovorili na poziv te su oko 20 sati krenuli prema Dubrovniku s 12 vatrogasaca, tri cisterne i vatrogasnim kombijem. Borba s požarom traje cijelu noć, od sinoć gase u Petrači u Župi dubrovačkoj. 

"Od sinoć smo u Petrači i kad smo stigli nije bila dobra situacija na terenu. Uspjeli smo nekako sanirat požar, uhvatit ga da nam ne pobjegne, trenutno je lokaliziran, gasimo rubove. Kanaderi voze od rano jutros, nažalost preveliko je područje u pitanju pa još uvijek nemamo vijesti iz Konavala", javio nam je s požarišta zapovjednik Verazza. 

Jugo je do jutros okrenulo na jak zapadnjak, a prognoza najavljuje mogući maestral pa čak i jaku buru tijekom poslijepodneva i večeri. Verazza ističe da je u ovakvim situacijama svaki vjetar neprijatelj, a da bi bura bila najgora opcija. 

Otok Korčula ima pet dobrovoljnih vatrogasnih društava, DVD Korčula, Lumbarda, Smokvica, Blato i Vela Luka, ali i bogato iskustvo s katastrofalnim šumskim požarima. Otočani vječno strepe od požara te budno prate događaje na požarištu u okolici Dubrovnika. Dubrovčani, Župljani, Konavljani, niste sami!

Na terenu u Župi dubrovačkoj od sinoć je i Kuzma Tomašić, načelnik Općine Smokvica i član DVD-a Smokvica. Borba s vatrom trajala je jutros do četiri sata, nakon toga nije više bilo otvorenog plamena. Kuzma također ističe kako ne znaju što se događa u Konavlima zbog slabe vidljivosti, ali od jutros čuju dva kanadera.

Zbog jakog juga koje je jučer poslijepodne rasplamsalo požar u okolici Dubrovnika, županijski vatrogasni zapovjednik Stjepan Simović u pomoć je pozvao i vatrogasne snage otoka Korčule. 

Kako doznajemo od zapovjednika DVD-a Korčula Franceska Verazze, otočni su vatrogasci spremno odgovorili na poziv te su oko 20 sati krenuli prema Dubrovniku s 12 vatrogasaca, tri cisterne i vatrogasnim kombijem. Borba s požarom traje cijelu noć, od sinoć gase u Petrači u Župi dubrovačkoj. 

"Od sinoć smo u Petrači i kad smo stigli nije bila dobra situacija na terenu. Uspjeli smo nekako sanirat požar, uhvatit ga da nam ne pobjegne, trenutno je lokaliziran, gasimo rubove. Kanaderi voze od rano jutros, nažalost preveliko je područje u pitanju pa još uvijek nemamo vijesti iz Konavala", javio nam je s požarišta zapovjednik Verazza. 

Jugo je do jutros okrenulo na jak zapadnjak, a prognoza najavljuje mogući maestral pa čak i jaku buru tijekom poslijepodneva i večeri. Verazza ističe da je u ovakvim situacijama svaki vjetar neprijatelj, a da bi bura bila najgora opcija. 

Otok Korčula ima pet dobrovoljnih vatrogasnih društava, DVD Korčula, Lumbarda, Smokvica, Blato i Vela Luka, ali i bogato iskustvo s katastrofalnim šumskim požarima. Otočani vječno strepe od požara te budno prate događaje na požarištu u okolici Dubrovnika. Dubrovčani, Župljani, Konavljani, niste sami!

Na terenu u Župi dubrovačkoj od sinoć je i Kuzma Tomašić, načelnik Općine Smokvica i član DVD-a Smokvica. Borba s vatrom trajala je jutros do četiri sata, nakon toga nije više bilo otvorenog plamena. Kuzma također ističe kako ne znaju što se događa u Konavlima zbog slabe vidljivosti, ali od jutros čuju dva kanadera.
