Starinska romansa u hrvatskim nezavisnim kinima pred Valentinovo ponuda je koja se ne odbija iz više razloga. Kao prvo, posljednjih godina prednjače moderni romantični filmovi za mlađe generacije (multipleks) gledatelja, tako da je nešto staromodnije teški raritet.

Drugo, film kao što je indijsko-američki "Photograph" redatelja Ritesha Batre savršeno paše za projekciju u starim dobrim singl-kinima nakon "online" premijere na ZFF-u i mogao bi funkcionirati kao svojevrsni teleport u neka druga vremena. "Problem je da danas nitko nema vremena, svi trče, trče, trče", komentira ulični fotograf Rafi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) u jednoj sceni "Fotografije" koja sporogorećim ritmom udara kontru novovjekoj užurbanosti Mumbaija ili nekog drugog grada.

Kontrast između starog i novog, ali i društvenih klasa muško-ženskog para, napravljen je već na početku filma, kad Rafi fotografira prolaznike i turiste ispred znamenitog slavoluka "Gateway Of India", a na drugom dijelu Mumbaija jedan muškarac slika mobitelom, i to otac glavnog ženskog lika, studentice Miloni (Sanya Malhotra).

Razlika je drastična: Rafijeve fotke nastaju u "old school" stilu i printaju se iz portabl printera, gotovo kao polaroidne, dok je ona mobitelska trenutačna, za užurbane i nestrpljive, s kroničnim manjkom ekstra vremena da bi sačekali da se "razvije", kako fotografija, tako i film, tj. njegova priča.

"Photograph" je preslika Rafijeve fotografije, romansa za "zrelije" gledatelje ili one kadre pronaći mir i strpljivo se posvetiti nečemu. Pristup je u ravni Batrina prvijenca "Pogrešna dostava" ("The Lunchbox") s Irrfanom Khanom i Nimrat Kaur s kojim bi "Fotografija" fino legla u kinomaratonu.

"Pogrešna dostava", također premijerno prikazana na ZFF-u, pretvorila je indijskog redatelja u "art-house" senzaciju i osigurala mu filmove na engleskom jeziku poput "Osjećaja kraja" s Charlotte Rampling i Jimom Broadbentom i "Naših duša u noći" s parom Robert Redford-Jane Fonda.

Međutim, Batra se malčice izgubio u prijevodu i logično je da je imao poriv vratiti se natrag u Indiju, napuniti filmske baterije i pronaći nekadašnju inspiraciju. Lako je zamisliti da bi "Photograph", snimljen na engleskom, bio tipični hollywoodski romantični film s "deja vu" premisom.

U najkraćim crticama, tip sa sela Rafi moli urbanu Miloni, djevojku s njegove fotografije, da mu glumi curu kako bi usrećio baku (Farrukh Jaffar), nesretnu što još uvijek nije oženjen, pri čemu se magli granica između glumljenih i stvarnih osjećaja. Vidjeli smo mnoštvo istovjetno koncipiranih rom-comova.

Ambijentirana u Mumbai i obojana lokalnim koloritom, "Fotografija" se razlikuje od romanse "made in Hollywood", ali i – Bollywood. Da je ovo bollywoodski film, prštao bi od nadrealnog ugođaja i jarkih boja, likovi bi ispoljavali osjećaje naglas udarajući u ples i pjesmu, a manje razmišljali tiho u sebi.

I "Photograph" ima dašak bajkovitog odmaka, ali pretežno je realističan komad romanse, k tome više romantična drama nego komedija. Nekome bi sve to moglo zasmetati i, realno, "Fotografija" ponekad znade otići u "slow-burn" krajnost i ima jedan suvišan podzaplet (Miloni i profesor).

Ipak, tko se filmu prepusti vjerojatno će cijeniti projicirani režijski, narativni i glumački spokoj, kao i umjerenu sentimentalnost, te voljeti gdje će ga odvesti priča koja, baš kao i "The Lunchbox", nije samo priča o ljubavi, već i ljudima, prolasku vremena i običajima.

"Godinama od danas, kad pogledate fotografiju, osjetit ćete opet sunce na licu, vjetar u kosi i ponovno čuti te glasove", govori Rafi koji će fotografirati Miloni za neko buduće sjećanje, premda ona već sada drži da izgleda ljepše i sretnije na slici nego što je ikad bila, možda baš zato što je fotka nastala starim fotoaparatom i djeluje kao osvježenje.

Slično djelovanje mogao bi izazvati i "Photograph". "Sve priče su danas iste", autoreferentan je Rafi kad pođe s Miloni u kino. Možda i jesu, ali Batra je istu priču uspio osvježiti tako što ju je ispričao na drukčiji, staromodan način. Kad netko u "Fotografiji" kaže "ne prave ih više ovakve", to se opažanje može prenijeti na sam film.

Idući film s Juliom Roberts

U idućem filmu Ritesha Batre, koji će opet biti na engleskom, trebala bi glumiti Julia Roberts. Film se zove "Little Bee", a žanrira se kao spoj trilera i drame.

Starinska romansa u hrvatskim nezavisnim kinima pred Valentinovo ponuda je koja se ne odbija iz više razloga. Kao prvo, posljednjih godina prednjače moderni romantični filmovi za mlađe generacije (multipleks) gledatelja, tako da je nešto staromodnije teški raritet.

Drugo, film kao što je indijsko-američki "Photograph" redatelja Ritesha Batre savršeno paše za projekciju u starim dobrim singl-kinima nakon "online" premijere na ZFF-u i mogao bi funkcionirati kao svojevrsni teleport u neka druga vremena. "Problem je da danas nitko nema vremena, svi trče, trče, trče", komentira ulični fotograf Rafi (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) u jednoj sceni "Fotografije" koja sporogorećim ritmom udara kontru novovjekoj užurbanosti Mumbaija ili nekog drugog grada.

Kontrast između starog i novog, ali i društvenih klasa muško-ženskog para, napravljen je već na početku filma, kad Rafi fotografira prolaznike i turiste ispred znamenitog slavoluka "Gateway Of India", a na drugom dijelu Mumbaija jedan muškarac slika mobitelom, i to otac glavnog ženskog lika, studentice Miloni (Sanya Malhotra).

Razlika je drastična: Rafijeve fotke nastaju u "old school" stilu i printaju se iz portabl printera, gotovo kao polaroidne, dok je ona mobitelska trenutačna, za užurbane i nestrpljive, s kroničnim manjkom ekstra vremena da bi sačekali da se "razvije", kako fotografija, tako i film, tj. njegova priča.

"Photograph" je preslika Rafijeve fotografije, romansa za "zrelije" gledatelje ili one kadre pronaći mir i strpljivo se posvetiti nečemu. Pristup je u ravni Batrina prvijenca "Pogrešna dostava" ("The Lunchbox") s Irrfanom Khanom i Nimrat Kaur s kojim bi "Fotografija" fino legla u kinomaratonu.

"Pogrešna dostava", također premijerno prikazana na ZFF-u, pretvorila je indijskog redatelja u "art-house" senzaciju i osigurala mu filmove na engleskom jeziku poput "Osjećaja kraja" s Charlotte Rampling i Jimom Broadbentom i "Naših duša u noći" s parom Robert Redford-Jane Fonda.

Međutim, Batra se malčice izgubio u prijevodu i logično je da je imao poriv vratiti se natrag u Indiju, napuniti filmske baterije i pronaći nekadašnju inspiraciju. Lako je zamisliti da bi "Photograph", snimljen na engleskom, bio tipični hollywoodski romantični film s "deja vu" premisom.

U najkraćim crticama, tip sa sela Rafi moli urbanu Miloni, djevojku s njegove fotografije, da mu glumi curu kako bi usrećio baku (Farrukh Jaffar), nesretnu što još uvijek nije oženjen, pri čemu se magli granica između glumljenih i stvarnih osjećaja. Vidjeli smo mnoštvo istovjetno koncipiranih rom-comova.

Ambijentirana u Mumbai i obojana lokalnim koloritom, "Fotografija" se razlikuje od romanse "made in Hollywood", ali i – Bollywood. Da je ovo bollywoodski film, prštao bi od nadrealnog ugođaja i jarkih boja, likovi bi ispoljavali osjećaje naglas udarajući u ples i pjesmu, a manje razmišljali tiho u sebi.

I "Photograph" ima dašak bajkovitog odmaka, ali pretežno je realističan komad romanse, k tome više romantična drama nego komedija. Nekome bi sve to moglo zasmetati i, realno, "Fotografija" ponekad znade otići u "slow-burn" krajnost i ima jedan suvišan podzaplet (Miloni i profesor).

Ipak, tko se filmu prepusti vjerojatno će cijeniti projicirani režijski, narativni i glumački spokoj, kao i umjerenu sentimentalnost, te voljeti gdje će ga odvesti priča koja, baš kao i "The Lunchbox", nije samo priča o ljubavi, već i ljudima, prolasku vremena i običajima.

"Godinama od danas, kad pogledate fotografiju, osjetit ćete opet sunce na licu, vjetar u kosi i ponovno čuti te glasove", govori Rafi koji će fotografirati Miloni za neko buduće sjećanje, premda ona već sada drži da izgleda ljepše i sretnije na slici nego što je ikad bila, možda baš zato što je fotka nastala starim fotoaparatom i djeluje kao osvježenje.

Slično djelovanje mogao bi izazvati i "Photograph". "Sve priče su danas iste", autoreferentan je Rafi kad pođe s Miloni u kino. Možda i jesu, ali Batra je istu priču uspio osvježiti tako što ju je ispričao na drukčiji, staromodan način. Kad netko u "Fotografiji" kaže "ne prave ih više ovakve", to se opažanje može prenijeti na sam film.

Idući film s Juliom Roberts

U idućem filmu Ritesha Batre, koji će opet biti na engleskom, trebala bi glumiti Julia Roberts. Film se zove "Little Bee", a žanrira se kao spoj trilera i drame.
