"Slatki naš dome." – "Soba želja" (2019.)

Bond-djevojka Camille Montes u podcijenjenom "Zrnu utjehe", "bondovskom" drugijencu glumca Daniela Craiga, potvrdila je karijeru prelijepe ukrajinske manekenke i glumice Olge Kurylenko, dotad poznate po nastupima u akcijskim trilerima "Hitman" i "Max Payne".

Otad nadalje, naša Olga ili "Bonduša s dušom", kako je na ovim stranicama bio naslovljen njezin portret 2009., mahom je ubijala Boga u muškarcima snimivši niz akcijskih filmova trilerske ("The Assassin Next Door", "Erased", "The November Man", "Momentum", "The Courier"...) i povijesne tematike ("Centurion").

Kurylenko je znala snimati i drukčije filmove ("Otok naše ljubavi", "Zaborav", "Savršen dan", "Zadrži dah", "Vladar Pariza"), ali nekako je napravila najveći zaokret i iznenadila publiku kad je prije dvije godine nastupila u usplahirenom hororskom trileru misteriozno-nadnaravne vrste – "Mara".

Fanovi su bili zadovoljni i evo Olge u naizgled još jednom slično žanriranom ostvarenju. "Soba želja" se reklamira kao horor-triler misterija, ali – hvala bogu – film nije tipičan primjerak toga žanra, iako navlači gledatelja da pomisli kako će biti upravo takav, gotovo do mjere žanrovske autoironije.

Pođimo samo od klišeiziranog izvornog naslova filma "The Room". Imali smo najmanje dva tako naslovljena filma unatrag 15-ak godina koji mogu izazvati konfuziju, oskarovsku dramu "Room" (bez prefiksa "The") s Brie Larson u ulozi ovjenčanoj najprestižnijim zlatnim kipićem i "The Room" kultnog Tommyja Wiseaua, ponajbolji najgori film novog milenija. Oh, hi, (Cine)Mark? Yep, baš to.

Sreća da je distributer dodao sufiks u hrvatskom naslovu i da je "Soba" postala "Soba želja", što stopostotno odgovara filmu. No, još uvijek imamo tipologiju osnovne premise. Sigurno ste ovo već čuli stotinu puta... Par u kasnim tridesetima/ranim četrdesetima useljava se u kuću "bogu iza nogu", negdje na vrhu države New York, u kojoj će i zaglaviti nakon misterioznih zbivanja.

Ona, Kate (Kurylenko), radi kao prevoditeljica i zeza se da bi pritom mogla postati "savršena kućanica", a on je "veliki slikar", Matt (Kevin Janssens, poznat po ulozi u nedavnoj "Osveti", ovdje izgleda kao spoj Scotta Speedmana, Liama Hemswortha i našeg Janka Popovića Volarića).

Kuća je u derutnom stanju, ali Matt inzistira kako "nije u ruševinama", "samo joj treba malo popravka". Kad Kate izusti "slatki naš dome", znamo da će zbivanja dobiti gorak okus. Kate ubrzo pronalazi mrtvu pticu, a Matt doznaje da su, teška/najteža klasika, "prijašnji vlasnici ubijeni u ovoj kući".

"Nitko vam nije rekao", čudi se tip iz elektroprivrede kad svrati pogledati kvar. Naravno da nije i Matt se baca u istragu preko Googlea. Na ekranu vrište naslovi "krvava kuća" i "ubojica je anoniman", "John Doe", ali srećom ipak ne onaj iz Fincherove "Sedmice".

I taman kad gledatelj pomisli prekrižiti "The Room", uvjeren da će gledati još jedan generički hororčić, varijaciju na ukletu kuću iz pakla gdje će novi vlasnici doživjeti sličan scenarij progonjeni duhovima prethodnih stanara ili koga već (od npr. "House On Haunted Hill" do "Amityville Horror" i dalje), slijedi novo Mattovo otkriće sažeto u hrvatskom naslovu.

Ubojstvo u kući nije jedina njezina tajna. Postoji još jedna, veća – kuća ima posebnu sobu skrivenu iza željeznih vrata koja ispunjava sve što čovjek zaželi. Želim bolji, iznadprosječni film? Ispunjeno. Potpisniku ovih redaka soba je ispunila želju za boljim, iznadprosječnim filmom, a Mattu da postane vlasnik neprocjenjivih slika, "pravog Van Gogha", Cezanneovih "Jabuka", Da Vincijeve "Mona Lise"...

Što Kate želi za probu da se uvjeri u istinitost Mattovih tvrdnji o sobi želja? Tisuću dolara? Riješeno. Milijun? Može i to, novac se "naprosto stvorio" i novčanice šuškaju u njezinim rukama. Sreća i veselje, ali i blaga zabrinutost. "Imam loš predosjećaj", sluti Kate, no Matt predlaže da se zabave s najboljim šampanjcem na svijetu, još novca... dekadencija. 

Pravi zaplet počinje u trenutku kad Matt predloži Kate da probaju ponovno začeti dijete nakon njezina dva spontana pobačaja, nakon čega ona, uvjerena u male šanse, pokuša zaliječiti traumu i pođe "prečicom", zaželjevši (u) sobi da dobije bebu. Tu je najbolje stati i ne otkrivati previše zbog nadolazećih "twistova".

Osim možda još dodati da frka nastupa kad Matt i Kate otkriju da soba funkcionira "poput gigantskog 3D pisača" i proizvodi stvari pod uvjetom da ih ne izneseš kroz vrata; u protivnom one ostare dok se ne pretvore u prah, kao npr. njegov novac. Kako će oni iznijeti dijete? Nikako, napravili su samoizolaciju, zabarikadirali prozore i rekli sinu da je bolestan i da vani vrebaju bacili, tj. da ga kuća štiti.

Baš koronski, nema što. No, kvragu i korona, "Soba želja" se promeće u svojevrsnu filmsku "Zonu sumraka", s time da je bolja od većine epizoda u prvoj i drugoj sezoni novovjeke serije. Ideja koscenarista i redatelja Christiana Volckmana (vizualno renesansna animacija "Renaissance") drži vodu do kraja, uz prilično originalne i mahom nepredvidljive "shyamalanovske" preokrete.

Jedna od vrlina filma jest što biva sve intrigantniji kako ide dalje i doista ne znate kako će/bi mogao završiti, a "twistovi" iz pera režisera Volckmana i njegovog scenarističkog partnera Erica Forestiera gomilaju se više-manje smisleno i prirodno do "mind fuck" kraja koji ostaje u oku i mozgu.

Mlađim, neiskusnijim ljubiteljima horora možda će smetati manjak takozvanih "bu" scena s poskakivanjem u kinofotelji a la "Prizivanja 1&2", potenciranim pokretnim foteljama u multipleksima, ali stariji će cijeniti upravo manjak eksploatacije žanrovske tipologije uz rijetke ustupke, odnosno solidnu atmosferu nelagode, jeze pa i uznemirujućeg, na primjer kad Matt posjeti "Johna Doea" u ludnici i čuje da ga je "soba natjerala na to (ubojstvo)", kao i njegov savjet "Zaboravite na kuću i otiđite dok nije kasno".

"The Room" je prije svega psihološki triler i nadrealna misterija, pa tek onda "horor" iz kvazi-"haunted house" domene s kućom/sobom dojmljivo dizajniranom (isprepletene žice nalik divovskoj tempiranoj eksplozivnoj napravi) da ima svoje "ja", gotovo do te mjere da i sama postane lik filma.

Ljudska psihologija i (ne)moral pokreću priču u kojoj naizgledno ispunjenje (materijalističkih) snova postaje otjelovljenje košmara. "Od nekoga tko ne može dobiti ništa opasniji je samo onaj koji može dobiti sve što poželi", upozorava "John Doe". Ključno upozorenje je, dakako, "pazi što želiš", ako ne i obratno "želi što paziš". Želja može biti najobičnija tlapnja i (p)ostati tek čestica prašine, prah, pepeo.

"Slatki naš dome." – "Soba želja" (2019.)

Bond-djevojka Camille Montes u podcijenjenom "Zrnu utjehe", "bondovskom" drugijencu glumca Daniela Craiga, potvrdila je karijeru prelijepe ukrajinske manekenke i glumice Olge Kurylenko, dotad poznate po nastupima u akcijskim trilerima "Hitman" i "Max Payne".

Otad nadalje, naša Olga ili "Bonduša s dušom", kako je na ovim stranicama bio naslovljen njezin portret 2009., mahom je ubijala Boga u muškarcima snimivši niz akcijskih filmova trilerske ("The Assassin Next Door", "Erased", "The November Man", "Momentum", "The Courier"...) i povijesne tematike ("Centurion").

Kurylenko je znala snimati i drukčije filmove ("Otok naše ljubavi", "Zaborav", "Savršen dan", "Zadrži dah", "Vladar Pariza"), ali nekako je napravila najveći zaokret i iznenadila publiku kad je prije dvije godine nastupila u usplahirenom hororskom trileru misteriozno-nadnaravne vrste – "Mara".

Fanovi su bili zadovoljni i evo Olge u naizgled još jednom slično žanriranom ostvarenju. "Soba želja" se reklamira kao horor-triler misterija, ali – hvala bogu – film nije tipičan primjerak toga žanra, iako navlači gledatelja da pomisli kako će biti upravo takav, gotovo do mjere žanrovske autoironije.

Pođimo samo od klišeiziranog izvornog naslova filma "The Room". Imali smo najmanje dva tako naslovljena filma unatrag 15-ak godina koji mogu izazvati konfuziju, oskarovsku dramu "Room" (bez prefiksa "The") s Brie Larson u ulozi ovjenčanoj najprestižnijim zlatnim kipićem i "The Room" kultnog Tommyja Wiseaua, ponajbolji najgori film novog milenija. Oh, hi, (Cine)Mark? Yep, baš to.

Sreća da je distributer dodao sufiks u hrvatskom naslovu i da je "Soba" postala "Soba želja", što stopostotno odgovara filmu. No, još uvijek imamo tipologiju osnovne premise. Sigurno ste ovo već čuli stotinu puta... Par u kasnim tridesetima/ranim četrdesetima useljava se u kuću "bogu iza nogu", negdje na vrhu države New York, u kojoj će i zaglaviti nakon misterioznih zbivanja.

Ona, Kate (Kurylenko), radi kao prevoditeljica i zeza se da bi pritom mogla postati "savršena kućanica", a on je "veliki slikar", Matt (Kevin Janssens, poznat po ulozi u nedavnoj "Osveti", ovdje izgleda kao spoj Scotta Speedmana, Liama Hemswortha i našeg Janka Popovića Volarića).

Kuća je u derutnom stanju, ali Matt inzistira kako "nije u ruševinama", "samo joj treba malo popravka". Kad Kate izusti "slatki naš dome", znamo da će zbivanja dobiti gorak okus. Kate ubrzo pronalazi mrtvu pticu, a Matt doznaje da su, teška/najteža klasika, "prijašnji vlasnici ubijeni u ovoj kući".

"Nitko vam nije rekao", čudi se tip iz elektroprivrede kad svrati pogledati kvar. Naravno da nije i Matt se baca u istragu preko Googlea. Na ekranu vrište naslovi "krvava kuća" i "ubojica je anoniman", "John Doe", ali srećom ipak ne onaj iz Fincherove "Sedmice".

I taman kad gledatelj pomisli prekrižiti "The Room", uvjeren da će gledati još jedan generički hororčić, varijaciju na ukletu kuću iz pakla gdje će novi vlasnici doživjeti sličan scenarij progonjeni duhovima prethodnih stanara ili koga već (od npr. "House On Haunted Hill" do "Amityville Horror" i dalje), slijedi novo Mattovo otkriće sažeto u hrvatskom naslovu.

Ubojstvo u kući nije jedina njezina tajna. Postoji još jedna, veća – kuća ima posebnu sobu skrivenu iza željeznih vrata koja ispunjava sve što čovjek zaželi. Želim bolji, iznadprosječni film? Ispunjeno. Potpisniku ovih redaka soba je ispunila želju za boljim, iznadprosječnim filmom, a Mattu da postane vlasnik neprocjenjivih slika, "pravog Van Gogha", Cezanneovih "Jabuka", Da Vincijeve "Mona Lise"...

Što Kate želi za probu da se uvjeri u istinitost Mattovih tvrdnji o sobi želja? Tisuću dolara? Riješeno. Milijun? Može i to, novac se "naprosto stvorio" i novčanice šuškaju u njezinim rukama. Sreća i veselje, ali i blaga zabrinutost. "Imam loš predosjećaj", sluti Kate, no Matt predlaže da se zabave s najboljim šampanjcem na svijetu, još novca... dekadencija. 

Pravi zaplet počinje u trenutku kad Matt predloži Kate da probaju ponovno začeti dijete nakon njezina dva spontana pobačaja, nakon čega ona, uvjerena u male šanse, pokuša zaliječiti traumu i pođe "prečicom", zaželjevši (u) sobi da dobije bebu. Tu je najbolje stati i ne otkrivati previše zbog nadolazećih "twistova".

Osim možda još dodati da frka nastupa kad Matt i Kate otkriju da soba funkcionira "poput gigantskog 3D pisača" i proizvodi stvari pod uvjetom da ih ne izneseš kroz vrata; u protivnom one ostare dok se ne pretvore u prah, kao npr. njegov novac. Kako će oni iznijeti dijete? Nikako, napravili su samoizolaciju, zabarikadirali prozore i rekli sinu da je bolestan i da vani vrebaju bacili, tj. da ga kuća štiti.

Baš koronski, nema što. No, kvragu i korona, "Soba želja" se promeće u svojevrsnu filmsku "Zonu sumraka", s time da je bolja od većine epizoda u prvoj i drugoj sezoni novovjeke serije. Ideja koscenarista i redatelja Christiana Volckmana (vizualno renesansna animacija "Renaissance") drži vodu do kraja, uz prilično originalne i mahom nepredvidljive "shyamalanovske" preokrete.

Jedna od vrlina filma jest što biva sve intrigantniji kako ide dalje i doista ne znate kako će/bi mogao završiti, a "twistovi" iz pera režisera Volckmana i njegovog scenarističkog partnera Erica Forestiera gomilaju se više-manje smisleno i prirodno do "mind fuck" kraja koji ostaje u oku i mozgu.

Mlađim, neiskusnijim ljubiteljima horora možda će smetati manjak takozvanih "bu" scena s poskakivanjem u kinofotelji a la "Prizivanja 1&2", potenciranim pokretnim foteljama u multipleksima, ali stariji će cijeniti upravo manjak eksploatacije žanrovske tipologije uz rijetke ustupke, odnosno solidnu atmosferu nelagode, jeze pa i uznemirujućeg, na primjer kad Matt posjeti "Johna Doea" u ludnici i čuje da ga je "soba natjerala na to (ubojstvo)", kao i njegov savjet "Zaboravite na kuću i otiđite dok nije kasno".

"The Room" je prije svega psihološki triler i nadrealna misterija, pa tek onda "horor" iz kvazi-"haunted house" domene s kućom/sobom dojmljivo dizajniranom (isprepletene žice nalik divovskoj tempiranoj eksplozivnoj napravi) da ima svoje "ja", gotovo do te mjere da i sama postane lik filma.

Ljudska psihologija i (ne)moral pokreću priču u kojoj naizgledno ispunjenje (materijalističkih) snova postaje otjelovljenje košmara. "Od nekoga tko ne može dobiti ništa opasniji je samo onaj koji može dobiti sve što poželi", upozorava "John Doe". Ključno upozorenje je, dakako, "pazi što želiš", ako ne i obratno "želi što paziš". Želja može biti najobičnija tlapnja i (p)ostati tek čestica prašine, prah, pepeo.
