James Cameron (68) odlučio je odgovoriti na društvenim mrežama nakon mnogobrojnih glasina da bi mogao režirati film o tragediji podmornice "Titan".. 

Na svom Twitteru trostruki oskarovac napisao je: "Obično ne reagiram na glasine u medijima, ali sada moram." Zatim je dodao: "NISAM uključen u razgovore o filmu OceanGate i nikada neću biti." Izjavu je objavio i na svom Instagram storyju.

OceanGateova podmornica "Titan" implodirala je tijekom putovanja do olupine Titanica 18. lipnja 2023.. Poginulo je svih pet osoba na brodu. Nakon toga brzo su se pojavila nagađanja o mogućim filmskim adaptacijama tragedije. Često se spominjao redatelj "Titanica" James Cameron kao mogući redatelj budućeg projekta.

I sam  Cameron je brzo komentirao nesreću. Rekao je za ABC News da su mnogi ljudi u zajednici "vrlo zabrinuti za ovu podmornicu" i da su odgovorni prethodno upozoreni. Redatelj je dodao da je šokiran "sličnošću sa samom katastrofom ‘Titanica‘, gdje je kapetan više puta upozoren na led ispred svog broda, a ipak se punom brzinom zabio u ledeni brijeg u noći bez mjeseca i mnogi su ljudi zbog toga umrli".

Cameron je dobro poznavao jednu od žrtava. Paul-Henri Nargeolet, jedan od vodećih stručnjaka za olupinu "Titanic", bio je njegov prijatelj. "To je vrlo mala zajednica. Znam ga 25 godina. Činjenica da je umro tako tragično na ovaj način teško se pomiriti s tim." Cameron je sam napravio 33 zarona do olupine "Titanica". Snimio je ne samo poznati film iz 1997. godine o brodu koji je potonuo 1912. nakon sudara s ledenim brijegom na njegovom prvom putovanju, već i dokumentarni film "Duhovi ponora".

James Cameron (68) odlučio je odgovoriti na društvenim mrežama nakon mnogobrojnih glasina da bi mogao režirati film o tragediji podmornice "Titan".. 

Na svom Twitteru trostruki oskarovac napisao je: "Obično ne reagiram na glasine u medijima, ali sada moram." Zatim je dodao: "NISAM uključen u razgovore o filmu OceanGate i nikada neću biti." Izjavu je objavio i na svom Instagram storyju.

OceanGateova podmornica "Titan" implodirala je tijekom putovanja do olupine Titanica 18. lipnja 2023.. Poginulo je svih pet osoba na brodu. Nakon toga brzo su se pojavila nagađanja o mogućim filmskim adaptacijama tragedije. Često se spominjao redatelj "Titanica" James Cameron kao mogući redatelj budućeg projekta.

I sam  Cameron je brzo komentirao nesreću. Rekao je za ABC News da su mnogi ljudi u zajednici "vrlo zabrinuti za ovu podmornicu" i da su odgovorni prethodno upozoreni. Redatelj je dodao da je šokiran "sličnošću sa samom katastrofom ‘Titanica‘, gdje je kapetan više puta upozoren na led ispred svog broda, a ipak se punom brzinom zabio u ledeni brijeg u noći bez mjeseca i mnogi su ljudi zbog toga umrli".

Cameron je dobro poznavao jednu od žrtava. Paul-Henri Nargeolet, jedan od vodećih stručnjaka za olupinu "Titanic", bio je njegov prijatelj. "To je vrlo mala zajednica. Znam ga 25 godina. Činjenica da je umro tako tragično na ovaj način teško se pomiriti s tim." Cameron je sam napravio 33 zarona do olupine "Titanica". Snimio je ne samo poznati film iz 1997. godine o brodu koji je potonuo 1912. nakon sudara s ledenim brijegom na njegovom prvom putovanju, već i dokumentarni film "Duhovi ponora".
