Amnezičnim protagonistima akcije i trilera pridružio se i Liam Hemsworth, mlađi brat popularnijeg Chrisa. U filmu "Ubojica"/"Killerman" Hemsworth preuzima štafetu od Arnolda Schwarzeneggera ("Potpuno sjećanje"), Geene Davis ("Dugi oproštaj"), Guya Pearcea ("Memento") i Matta Damona (filmovi o Jasonu Bourneu).

Da je Bourne draguljar i perač novca, bio bi možda Moe, antijunak novog filma darovitog režisera i scenarista Malika Badera ("Street Thief", "Cash Only"). Bader se sve više profilira kao redateljski specijalist za kriminalističke trilere kakve je nekoć radio James Grey ("Mala Odessa", "U ime pravde", "Braća po krvi"), samo što njegovi filmovi preferiraju akciju od drame s ove i one strane zakona.

To su krimi trileri u žanrovskom štihu sedamdesetih, osamdesetih i devedesetih kojima Bader daje novomilenijsku neonsku art-house vizualnost Nicolasa Windinga Refna ("Vožnja", "Samo bog prašta") i braće Safdie ("Good Time", "Uncut Gems").

Netko bi lako mogao zamijeniti "Ubojicu" za filmove dvojice Safdieja, osobito izvrsnu uvodnu scenu koja u trajanju od blizu deset minuta pokazuje mehaniku transfera i pranja prljavog novca iz jedne ruke u drugu na ulicama američkog grada.

Samo čekamo da lova prođe preko draguljara Adama Sandlera. Ipak, to se ne događa, a kadar se postupno sužava na glavne likove, Moea i Skunka (Emory Cohen), zaposlenike istočnoeuropskog šefa zvanog Perico (Zlatko Burić). Skunk kuje plan da se on i Moe odvoje od njegova ujaka Perica i pokrenu neki vlastiti biznis.

Međutim, plan će poći po zlu kad jednu novac/droga primopredaju – ustvari namještaljku – presretnu pokvareni, korumpirani policajci (jednog od njih glumi Nickola Shreli iz "Cash Only"). U bijegu od prljavih plavaca, potjeri po uskim, zabačenim ulicama New Yorka, Baderovom svedenom, ali svejedno uzbudljivom odgovoru na "Brze i žestoke", Moe i Skunk će sleteti s ceste i doživjeti sudar s parkiranim kombijem, snimljen tako da i gledatelj osjeti udar zahvaljujući kameri Kena Senga.

Moe udara glavom, zadobiva potres mozga i gubi pamćenje. "Pamćenje mu se malo poremetilo", govori Skunk ljudima kojih se Moe ne sjeća. "Zar sam diler", pita on Skunka kad vidi kokain korumpiranih policajaca u njihovu posjedstvu. Motiv amnezije Bader kao da je uzeo namjerno kako bi gubitak pamćenja iskoristio u kontekstu krimi-trilerskog žanra i počeo iznova ukoliko ga se ne prisjeti.

Mutno sjećanje doziva nezavisnjačke krimi trilere devedesetih, poput podcijenjenog "Phoenixa" Dannyja Cannona s Rayom Liottom, ali Bader krije "twist" kao zmija noge koji je uz malo više hrabrosti mogao zapucati prema "Revolveru" Guya Ritchieja. "Killerman" je, svejedno, više no dovoljno žanrovski svjež, sirov, ubojit i distinktivan zaslugom Badera da zaslužuje pažnju ljubitelja ovakvog tipa filma, posebice u usporedbi s direktno-na-video ponudom.

Na ruku redatelju ide Sengova 16-milimetarska fotografija, sjajna u newyorškim eksterijerima i interijerima (klub-scena), sinkronizirana s treperećom elektroničkom glazbom Juliana DeMarrea i Heika Mailea. Glumačke partije su također "in sync" i pojedinačno dojmljive.

Mladi Cohen pokazuje zašto je bio velika nada nakon "Grijeha očeva", Burić pazi da ne ode u zlikovačku karikaturu, Shreli je uvjerljivo prijeteći. Najugodnije iznenađenje je Hemsworth koji možda neće postati ono što je primjerice Casey Affleck u usporedbi sa slavnijim, popularnijim Benom, ali je sve više solidan i manje drven dok u zadnje vrijeme gradi karijeru suprotno od zvjezdanog brata (tumač Thora u Marvelovim blockbusterima) nastupajući u niskobudžetnim i "indie" filmovima ("Arkansas").

Konačno, najveću pohvalu zaslužuje sam Bader koji drži pod kontrolom sve prevare, sudare i revolvere, premda se oni u priči otimaju kontroli i rezultiraju krvavim nasiljem. Pitanje je hoćemo li se "Ubojice", koji sasvim dobro funkcionira momentalno i ne blijedi nakon odjavne špice, sjećati za dvadesetak godina kao što se sjećamo "Phoenixa". No, nakon odgledanog filma nešto drugo je naizgled neupitno. Malik Bader bi dotad mogao postati velik filmaš.

Hrvatskom glumcu Zlatku Buriću ovo je druga uzastopna bjelosvjetska uloga nakon nastupa u "Teen Spirit" s Elle Fanning, a netom prije toga gledali smo ga u domaćem filmu "Comic Sans".

Amnezičnim protagonistima akcije i trilera pridružio se i Liam Hemsworth, mlađi brat popularnijeg Chrisa. U filmu "Ubojica"/"Killerman" Hemsworth preuzima štafetu od Arnolda Schwarzeneggera ("Potpuno sjećanje"), Geene Davis ("Dugi oproštaj"), Guya Pearcea ("Memento") i Matta Damona (filmovi o Jasonu Bourneu).

Da je Bourne draguljar i perač novca, bio bi možda Moe, antijunak novog filma darovitog režisera i scenarista Malika Badera ("Street Thief", "Cash Only"). Bader se sve više profilira kao redateljski specijalist za kriminalističke trilere kakve je nekoć radio James Grey ("Mala Odessa", "U ime pravde", "Braća po krvi"), samo što njegovi filmovi preferiraju akciju od drame s ove i one strane zakona.

To su krimi trileri u žanrovskom štihu sedamdesetih, osamdesetih i devedesetih kojima Bader daje novomilenijsku neonsku art-house vizualnost Nicolasa Windinga Refna ("Vožnja", "Samo bog prašta") i braće Safdie ("Good Time", "Uncut Gems").

Netko bi lako mogao zamijeniti "Ubojicu" za filmove dvojice Safdieja, osobito izvrsnu uvodnu scenu koja u trajanju od blizu deset minuta pokazuje mehaniku transfera i pranja prljavog novca iz jedne ruke u drugu na ulicama američkog grada.

Samo čekamo da lova prođe preko draguljara Adama Sandlera. Ipak, to se ne događa, a kadar se postupno sužava na glavne likove, Moea i Skunka (Emory Cohen), zaposlenike istočnoeuropskog šefa zvanog Perico (Zlatko Burić). Skunk kuje plan da se on i Moe odvoje od njegova ujaka Perica i pokrenu neki vlastiti biznis.

Međutim, plan će poći po zlu kad jednu novac/droga primopredaju – ustvari namještaljku – presretnu pokvareni, korumpirani policajci (jednog od njih glumi Nickola Shreli iz "Cash Only"). U bijegu od prljavih plavaca, potjeri po uskim, zabačenim ulicama New Yorka, Baderovom svedenom, ali svejedno uzbudljivom odgovoru na "Brze i žestoke", Moe i Skunk će sleteti s ceste i doživjeti sudar s parkiranim kombijem, snimljen tako da i gledatelj osjeti udar zahvaljujući kameri Kena Senga.

Moe udara glavom, zadobiva potres mozga i gubi pamćenje. "Pamćenje mu se malo poremetilo", govori Skunk ljudima kojih se Moe ne sjeća. "Zar sam diler", pita on Skunka kad vidi kokain korumpiranih policajaca u njihovu posjedstvu. Motiv amnezije Bader kao da je uzeo namjerno kako bi gubitak pamćenja iskoristio u kontekstu krimi-trilerskog žanra i počeo iznova ukoliko ga se ne prisjeti.

Mutno sjećanje doziva nezavisnjačke krimi trilere devedesetih, poput podcijenjenog "Phoenixa" Dannyja Cannona s Rayom Liottom, ali Bader krije "twist" kao zmija noge koji je uz malo više hrabrosti mogao zapucati prema "Revolveru" Guya Ritchieja. "Killerman" je, svejedno, više no dovoljno žanrovski svjež, sirov, ubojit i distinktivan zaslugom Badera da zaslužuje pažnju ljubitelja ovakvog tipa filma, posebice u usporedbi s direktno-na-video ponudom.

Na ruku redatelju ide Sengova 16-milimetarska fotografija, sjajna u newyorškim eksterijerima i interijerima (klub-scena), sinkronizirana s treperećom elektroničkom glazbom Juliana DeMarrea i Heika Mailea. Glumačke partije su također "in sync" i pojedinačno dojmljive.

Mladi Cohen pokazuje zašto je bio velika nada nakon "Grijeha očeva", Burić pazi da ne ode u zlikovačku karikaturu, Shreli je uvjerljivo prijeteći. Najugodnije iznenađenje je Hemsworth koji možda neće postati ono što je primjerice Casey Affleck u usporedbi sa slavnijim, popularnijim Benom, ali je sve više solidan i manje drven dok u zadnje vrijeme gradi karijeru suprotno od zvjezdanog brata (tumač Thora u Marvelovim blockbusterima) nastupajući u niskobudžetnim i "indie" filmovima ("Arkansas").

Konačno, najveću pohvalu zaslužuje sam Bader koji drži pod kontrolom sve prevare, sudare i revolvere, premda se oni u priči otimaju kontroli i rezultiraju krvavim nasiljem. Pitanje je hoćemo li se "Ubojice", koji sasvim dobro funkcionira momentalno i ne blijedi nakon odjavne špice, sjećati za dvadesetak godina kao što se sjećamo "Phoenixa". No, nakon odgledanog filma nešto drugo je naizgled neupitno. Malik Bader bi dotad mogao postati velik filmaš.

Hrvatskom glumcu Zlatku Buriću ovo je druga uzastopna bjelosvjetska uloga nakon nastupa u "Teen Spirit" s Elle Fanning, a netom prije toga gledali smo ga u domaćem filmu "Comic Sans".
