Koliko Splićani znaju o Jakovu Gotovcu? Koliko je poznat danas u gradu u kojem je rođen, u gradu o kojem se može ispričati tisuću zanimljivih priča pa tako i onih o velikanima hrvatske glazbene baštine?
Spomenika u javnom prostoru nema, jedini podignut njemu u čast u čitavoj Hrvatskoj nije niti u Dalmaciji, gdje su mu korijeni, već se nalazi u mjestu Osoru na Cresu, rad je kiparice Marije Ujević Galetović.

U glazbenom životu grada Gotovac je donekle prisutan, ako ništa, svake godine splitski HNK izvede njegovu najpopularniju operu "Ero s onoga svijeta" i interes publike ne jenjava, uvijek je puno, pogotovu u živopisnoj Vrlici, odakle je pisac libreta Milan Begović. A ove godine na repertoaru splitskog HNK-a izvedena je njegova "Mila Gojsalića", napokon.
No, druga djela iz njegova prebogatog opusa ne dolaze na red pa je vrijedan pažnje bio koncert Gradskog zbora "Brodosplit" koji je upravo Gotovčeve skladbe poklonio Splićanima za Sudamju. Na koncertu pred punim gledalištem Hrvatskog doma mogle su se čuti rijetko izvođene Gotovčeve "Koleda", "Himna slobodi" ili duhovita "Jadovanka za teletom".
Zanimljivu anketu napravila je Herci Ganza upravo u povodu toga koncerta pa je kao, među ostalim, članica Upravnog odbora Gradskog zbora "Brodosplit", zaustavljala ljude na ulici da bi došla do odgovora na pitanje iz prve rečenice.

Dakle, stvari stoje ovako – mladi i oni ne tako više mladi, pojma nemaju tko je Jakov Gotovac. "Vjerojatno neki pjesnik?", "Čula nešto jesam…", "Prvi put čujem" su bili odgovori slučajnih prolaznika.
– Gotovac je, mislim, skladatelj. A ima i jedan zidar Jakov Gotovac! A šta je sklada? Ja mislim da je on ukra pismu Thompsona – pokušao se na tipičnu splitsku zafrkanciju izvući jedan mladić.
Gospođa zrelijih godina koja je gledala više puta "Eru" podigla je donekle optimizam, kao i dva muškarca – jedan koji je volio gledati svoju djevojku dok pleše "Završno kolo" iz "Ere" – svaka čast momak! – i pouzdani vlasnik prodavaonice "Dancing Bear" koji je izrecitirao kao na satu Glazbenog odgoja:
– Jakov Gotovac, poznati hrvatski operni kompozitor i dirigent, rođen u Splitu 1895. godine, poznatija djela su mu "Mila Gojsalića" i "Ero s onoga svijeta".

Stručnjaci su malo proširili "za odlikaše" pa stalni dirigent najtrofejnijeg splitskog zbora, maestro Vlado Sunko prosvjetiteljski dodaje:
– On je jedan od najvećih hrvatskih skladatelja, naročito u razdoblju između dva rata, uz velika imena poput J. Hatzea, B. Berse, J. Slavenskog, on je najveći. Nenadmašan u svom nacionalnom smjeru, bitan u to vrijeme kao i danas. Nema nasljednika u onome po čemu je bio poznat i izvan domovine.
Član zbora, prof. Ivan Bošnjak opet napominje kako srednjoškolcima opera nije najdraža tema, ali kad na satu Glazbenog pusti "Završno kolo" iz "Ere s onoga svijeta", svi počnu plesati i pjevati. I nekako im postane blisko. Barem to!
No, kad sve zbrojimo – slabo. U svom gradu je Jakov Gotovac skoro pa stranac.
Za anketu je – da bude zanimljivije – Herci Ganza ljude zaustavljala na Pujankama, baš u ulici koja nosi ime Jakova Gotovca! A dijelom i u ulici u kojoj je rođen, gdje nitko pojma nema da im je u susjedstvu nekad živio veliki hrvatski skladatelj.

A i ta spomenuta spomen-ploča – "fun fact" – uopće ne obilježava njegovu rodnu kuću, već je zabunom ljudi koji su je montirali pričvršćena između Bajamontijeve 7 i 9, a ne kod broja 3, gdje bi trebalo. Tako da je i to prava "splitska štorija".
To što je u Gotovčevoj kući danas restoran i apartman, a ne njegov arhiv ili radna soba, koje je njegov sin, također skladatelj i dirigent Pero Gotovac ostavio Splitu, a čuva ih Zaklada "Grenc", druga je i žalosna priča.
Jer nije Split Salzburg koji se brendirao po Mozartu i Mozarthausu, našim su gostima čini se bliži zvukovi "pub crowla" i s time se teško pomiriti.

Koliko Splićani znaju o Jakovu Gotovcu? Koliko je poznat danas u gradu u kojem je rođen, u gradu o kojem se može ispričati tisuću zanimljivih priča pa tako i onih o velikanima hrvatske glazbene baštine?
Spomenika u javnom prostoru nema, jedini podignut njemu u čast u čitavoj Hrvatskoj nije niti u Dalmaciji, gdje su mu korijeni, već se nalazi u mjestu Osoru na Cresu, rad je kiparice Marije Ujević Galetović.

---Splitsko Društvo kulturne baštine izradilo je spomen-ploču koja je postavljena u Bajamontijevoj ulici gdje je rođen, i tamo stoji od 1991. godine.

U glazbenom životu grada Gotovac je donekle prisutan, ako ništa, svake godine splitski HNK izvede njegovu najpopularniju operu "Ero s onoga svijeta" i interes publike ne jenjava, uvijek je puno, pogotovu u živopisnoj Vrlici, odakle je pisac libreta Milan Begović. A ove godine na repertoaru splitskog HNK-a izvedena je njegova "Mila Gojsalića", napokon.
No, druga djela iz njegova prebogatog opusa ne dolaze na red pa je vrijedan pažnje bio koncert Gradskog zbora "Brodosplit" koji je upravo Gotovčeve skladbe poklonio Splićanima za Sudamju. Na koncertu pred punim gledalištem Hrvatskog doma mogle su se čuti rijetko izvođene Gotovčeve "Koleda", "Himna slobodi" ili duhovita "Jadovanka za teletom".
Zanimljivu anketu napravila je Herci Ganza upravo u povodu toga koncerta pa je kao, među ostalim, članica Upravnog odbora Gradskog zbora "Brodosplit", zaustavljala ljude na ulici da bi došla do odgovora na pitanje iz prve rečenice.

Dakle, stvari stoje ovako – mladi i oni ne tako više mladi, pojma nemaju tko je Jakov Gotovac. "Vjerojatno neki pjesnik?", "Čula nešto jesam…", "Prvi put čujem" su bili odgovori slučajnih prolaznika.
– Gotovac je, mislim, skladatelj. A ima i jedan zidar Jakov Gotovac! A šta je sklada? Ja mislim da je on ukra pismu Thompsona – pokušao se na tipičnu splitsku zafrkanciju izvući jedan mladić.
Gospođa zrelijih godina koja je gledala više puta "Eru" podigla je donekle optimizam, kao i dva muškarca – jedan koji je volio gledati svoju djevojku dok pleše "Završno kolo" iz "Ere" – svaka čast momak! – i pouzdani vlasnik prodavaonice "Dancing Bear" koji je izrecitirao kao na satu Glazbenog odgoja:
– Jakov Gotovac, poznati hrvatski operni kompozitor i dirigent, rođen u Splitu 1895. godine, poznatija djela su mu "Mila Gojsalića" i "Ero s onoga svijeta".

Stručnjaci su malo proširili "za odlikaše" pa stalni dirigent najtrofejnijeg splitskog zbora, maestro Vlado Sunko prosvjetiteljski dodaje:
– On je jedan od najvećih hrvatskih skladatelja, naročito u razdoblju između dva rata, uz velika imena poput J. Hatzea, B. Berse, J. Slavenskog, on je najveći. Nenadmašan u svom nacionalnom smjeru, bitan u to vrijeme kao i danas. Nema nasljednika u onome po čemu je bio poznat i izvan domovine.
Član zbora, prof. Ivan Bošnjak opet napominje kako srednjoškolcima opera nije najdraža tema, ali kad na satu Glazbenog pusti "Završno kolo" iz "Ere s onoga svijeta", svi počnu plesati i pjevati. I nekako im postane blisko. Barem to!
No, kad sve zbrojimo – slabo. U svom gradu je Jakov Gotovac skoro pa stranac.
Za anketu je – da bude zanimljivije – Herci Ganza ljude zaustavljala na Pujankama, baš u ulici koja nosi ime Jakova Gotovca! A dijelom i u ulici u kojoj je rođen, gdje nitko pojma nema da im je u susjedstvu nekad živio veliki hrvatski skladatelj.

A i ta spomenuta spomen-ploča – "fun fact" – uopće ne obilježava njegovu rodnu kuću, već je zabunom ljudi koji su je montirali pričvršćena između Bajamontijeve 7 i 9, a ne kod broja 3, gdje bi trebalo. Tako da je i to prava "splitska štorija".
To što je u Gotovčevoj kući danas restoran i apartman, a ne njegov arhiv ili radna soba, koje je njegov sin, također skladatelj i dirigent Pero Gotovac ostavio Splitu, a čuva ih Zaklada "Grenc", druga je i žalosna priča.
Jer nije Split Salzburg koji se brendirao po Mozartu i Mozarthausu, našim su gostima čini se bliži zvukovi "pub crowla" i s time se teško pomiriti.
