Jer, direktor Marco Müller baš i nije štedio na filmovima pri sastavljanju programa. Upravo suprotno − pokupio je sve što se moglo pokupiti nakon Cannesa, i to baš i nisu mrvice kako se očekivalo.
Naime, nove filmove takvih autorskih veličina kakve su, osim Moorea, Werner Herzog (“Bad Liutenant: Port of Call New Orleans”), Fatih Akin (“Soul Kitchen”), Todd Solondz (“Life During Wartime”), Jacques Rivette (“36 Vues du pic saint loup”) i George Romero (“Surviving of the Dead”) bilo bi nepristojno nazvati “mrvicama”, barem na papiru.
Na papiru Venecije doista sve izgleda mahom dobro, od filmova sa svih strana svijeta (uočljiva je i dovoljna količina potentnih europskih naslova, kao i onih s Bliskog i Dalekog istoka) do zvijezda koje u njima glume, za razliku od prošle godine kad je, pisalo se, nasušno manjkalo zvjezdane, a i filmske moći.
Matt Damon, zvijezda “The Informanta”, jedan je od hollywoodskih glumaca s A-liste koji dolazi na Lido kako bi prošetao crvenim tepihom i američkim studijima osigurao “buzz” za nadolazeću sezonu nagrada.
Osim Damona, horde fanova pred ulazom u Salu Grande nestrpljivo će čekati i Nicolasa Cagea, Evu Mendes, Vigga Mortensena, Georgea Clooneyja...
Favorit festivala Clooney (“Michael Clayton”) ovaj put čak nije ni upao u glavnu konkurenciju (“The Man Who Stare at Goats” prikazat će se izvan nje), što bi trebalo biti dovoljno znakovito, no zato Mortensen i Cage jesu s filmom “The Road”, u kojem će zaživjeti postapokaliptična vizija svijeta pisca Cormaca McCarthyja, odnosno remakeom “Okorjelog poručnika” Abela Ferrare, koji je javno kritizirao novu verziju, ali time nije puno dobio.
Zato je talijanski film, čini se, dobio dosta s kritikama Quentina Tarantina.
“Gomorra” je vratila vjeru u talijansku kinematografiju pa festival, nakon duga dva desetljeća, otvara jedna “domaćica” − epska “Baaria” Giuseppea Tornatorea.
Pixar i StalloneIako Mostra još nije ni počela, već su poznati dobitnici nagrada. Naravno, riječ je o Zlatnom lavu za životno djelo, koji se dodjeljuje Johnu Lasseteru i ostalim vizionarskim redateljima Pixara, odnosno nagradi Jaeger-LeCoulture, koju će dobiti vječito podcijenjeni Sylvester Stallone. Njima u čast bit će prikazani “Toy Story 1&2” u 3D-u, te “Rambo: Director’s Cut”. |
Priče s IstokaU konkurenciji ćemo vidjeti film s potpisom Egipta (“The Traveller”) i Izraela (“Lebanon”), Daleki je istok poslovično dobro zastupljen (“Tetsuo: The Bullet Man”...), a ugodno je iznenađenje Šri Lanka (“Between Two Worlds”). |

Jer, direktor Marco Müller baš i nije štedio na filmovima pri sastavljanju programa. Upravo suprotno − pokupio je sve što se moglo pokupiti nakon Cannesa, i to baš i nisu mrvice kako se očekivalo.
Naime, nove filmove takvih autorskih veličina kakve su, osim Moorea, Werner Herzog (“Bad Liutenant: Port of Call New Orleans”), Fatih Akin (“Soul Kitchen”), Todd Solondz (“Life During Wartime”), Jacques Rivette (“36 Vues du pic saint loup”) i George Romero (“Surviving of the Dead”) bilo bi nepristojno nazvati “mrvicama”, barem na papiru.
Na papiru Venecije doista sve izgleda mahom dobro, od filmova sa svih strana svijeta (uočljiva je i dovoljna količina potentnih europskih naslova, kao i onih s Bliskog i Dalekog istoka) do zvijezda koje u njima glume, za razliku od prošle godine kad je, pisalo se, nasušno manjkalo zvjezdane, a i filmske moći.
Matt Damon, zvijezda “The Informanta”, jedan je od hollywoodskih glumaca s A-liste koji dolazi na Lido kako bi prošetao crvenim tepihom i američkim studijima osigurao “buzz” za nadolazeću sezonu nagrada.
Osim Damona, horde fanova pred ulazom u Salu Grande nestrpljivo će čekati i Nicolasa Cagea, Evu Mendes, Vigga Mortensena, Georgea Clooneyja...
Favorit festivala Clooney (“Michael Clayton”) ovaj put čak nije ni upao u glavnu konkurenciju (“The Man Who Stare at Goats” prikazat će se izvan nje), što bi trebalo biti dovoljno znakovito, no zato Mortensen i Cage jesu s filmom “The Road”, u kojem će zaživjeti postapokaliptična vizija svijeta pisca Cormaca McCarthyja, odnosno remakeom “Okorjelog poručnika” Abela Ferrare, koji je javno kritizirao novu verziju, ali time nije puno dobio.
Zato je talijanski film, čini se, dobio dosta s kritikama Quentina Tarantina.
“Gomorra” je vratila vjeru u talijansku kinematografiju pa festival, nakon duga dva desetljeća, otvara jedna “domaćica” − epska “Baaria” Giuseppea Tornatorea.
Pixar i StalloneIako Mostra još nije ni počela, već su poznati dobitnici nagrada. Naravno, riječ je o Zlatnom lavu za životno djelo, koji se dodjeljuje Johnu Lasseteru i ostalim vizionarskim redateljima Pixara, odnosno nagradi Jaeger-LeCoulture, koju će dobiti vječito podcijenjeni Sylvester Stallone. Njima u čast bit će prikazani “Toy Story 1&2” u 3D-u, te “Rambo: Director’s Cut”. |
Priče s IstokaU konkurenciji ćemo vidjeti film s potpisom Egipta (“The Traveller”) i Izraela (“Lebanon”), Daleki je istok poslovično dobro zastupljen (“Tetsuo: The Bullet Man”...), a ugodno je iznenađenje Šri Lanka (“Between Two Worlds”). |
