Obitelj Amerikanca koji se utopio nakon što je sletio s urušenog mosta optužuje Google za njegovu smrt jer nije ažurirao svoje karte, piše BBC.

Obitelj Philipa Paxsona tuži kompaniju zbog njegove smrti, tvrdeći da Google zbog nemara nije naveo da se most urušio devet godina ranije.

Paxson je poginuo u rujnu 2022. nakon što je pokušao voziti preko mosta u Hickoryju u Sjevernoj Karolini.

Glasnogovornik Googlea rekao je da kompanija razmatra optužbe. Slučaj je predan građanskom sudu u okrugu Wake u utorak.

Paxson, otac dvoje djece, vozio se kući sa zabave za deveti rođendan svoje kćeri koja se održala kod prijatelja i bio je u nepoznatom susjedstvu u trenutku smrti, navodi se u tužbi obitelji.

Njegova je supruga ranije odvezla njihove dvije kćeri kući, a on je ostao pomoći u čišćenju.

"Budući da nije bio poznavao lokalne ceste, oslonio se na Google Maps, očekujući da će ga sigurno uputiti kući ženi i kćerima", rekli su odvjetnici obitelji.

U tužbi se također tuže tri lokalne tvrtke koje su navodno bile dužne održavati most.

"Duboko suosjećamo s obitelji Paxson", rekao je glasnogovornik Googlea za AP News.

"Naš cilj je pružiti točne informacije o rutama u kartama i razmatramo ovu tužbu."

"Tragično, dok je vozio oprezno po mraku i kiši, ne sluteći je slijedio Googleove zastarjele upute do onoga za što je njegova obitelj kasnije saznala da se skoro desetljeće zove ‘Most za nigdje‘, i sletio je u Snow Creeku gdje se utopio."

Lokalno stanovništvo više puta je kontaktiralo Google kako bi promijenili svoje online karte nakon što se most srušio 2013. godine, tvrdi se u tužbi.

Obitelj Amerikanca koji se utopio nakon što je sletio s urušenog mosta optužuje Google za njegovu smrt jer nije ažurirao svoje karte, piše BBC.

Obitelj Philipa Paxsona tuži kompaniju zbog njegove smrti, tvrdeći da Google zbog nemara nije naveo da se most urušio devet godina ranije.

Paxson je poginuo u rujnu 2022. nakon što je pokušao voziti preko mosta u Hickoryju u Sjevernoj Karolini.

Glasnogovornik Googlea rekao je da kompanija razmatra optužbe. Slučaj je predan građanskom sudu u okrugu Wake u utorak.

Paxson, otac dvoje djece, vozio se kući sa zabave za deveti rođendan svoje kćeri koja se održala kod prijatelja i bio je u nepoznatom susjedstvu u trenutku smrti, navodi se u tužbi obitelji.

Njegova je supruga ranije odvezla njihove dvije kćeri kući, a on je ostao pomoći u čišćenju.

"Budući da nije bio poznavao lokalne ceste, oslonio se na Google Maps, očekujući da će ga sigurno uputiti kući ženi i kćerima", rekli su odvjetnici obitelji.

U tužbi se također tuže tri lokalne tvrtke koje su navodno bile dužne održavati most.

"Duboko suosjećamo s obitelji Paxson", rekao je glasnogovornik Googlea za AP News.

"Naš cilj je pružiti točne informacije o rutama u kartama i razmatramo ovu tužbu."

"Tragično, dok je vozio oprezno po mraku i kiši, ne sluteći je slijedio Googleove zastarjele upute do onoga za što je njegova obitelj kasnije saznala da se skoro desetljeće zove ‘Most za nigdje‘, i sletio je u Snow Creeku gdje se utopio."

Lokalno stanovništvo više puta je kontaktiralo Google kako bi promijenili svoje online karte nakon što se most srušio 2013. godine, tvrdi se u tužbi.
