Jedan pariški inženjer 1946. predstavio je 'skandalozan' kupaći kostim za dame: bikini koji na plaži i bazenu zapravo više pokazuje nego što skriva. A zbog svojih dimenzija je uvijek na noge dizao "zaštitnike morala".

Inženjer strojarstva Louis Réard uopće nije mogao naći profesionalni model koji bi pristao na sebe navući njegovu kreaciju, tako da je za prezentaciju svog novog kupaćeg kostima 5. srpnja 1946. morao angažirati striptizetu Micheline Bernardini. Naziv kostima nije slučajnost: samo četiri dana ranije su Amerikanci izveli prvi atomski pokus na pacifičkom atolu Bikiniju. Tamo je detonirala atomska bomba od 23 kilotone - ali učinak koji je imao novi kupaći kostim iz Pariza na čitavu svjetsku javnost je bio kud i kamo veći od te atomske bombe, analizira DW.

Réard se nije prevario: toliko gole kože je za ono doba bilo puno previše. Samozvani čuvari morala su bili zaprepašteni. Smatrali su da pristojna žena tek godinu dana nakon kraja Drugog svjetskog rata treba nositi suknju, a ne tako besramno pokazivati svoje čari.

Makar je ova kreacija odmah izazvala golemu pozornost (naravno, prije svega muškaraca), bikini je još dugo bio "zabranjena zona" i za javnost i za "pristojan" tisak. Čak i poznati modni časopis Vogue još dugo nije želio objavljivati fotografije modela u takvim besramnim kostimima. Ali sve je bilo više i poznatih žena koje se nisu sramile pojaviti se u bikiniju, od Marilyn Monroe pa do Brigitte Bardot.

PPK, martini - i bikini

1962. je u kina došao prvi film o legendarnom britanskom agentu Jamesu Bondu, "Doktor No". Za mnoge najnapetiji prizor, mnogo uzbudljiviji nego kad 007 izvuče svoj Walther PPK (i u svakom slučaju, mnogo više "lupa u glavu" nego njegov martini - shaken, not stirred) jest kad Ursula Andress izlazi iz vode samo u bijelom bikiniju. (Točnije, u tom prizoru nosi i nekakve glupave školjke, ali to nikoga nije zanimalo.)

Ali taj, u modnu povijest će ući pod nazivom "Dr. No bikini", je konačno otvorio vrata tom oskudnom kupaćem kostimu tako da su i muževi mogli pristati da njihove zakonite "tako nešto" nose na plaži. Poanta je zapravo - žene su u tim šezdesetima definitivno prestale bilo koga pitati što smiju nositi. Došla je anti-bebi pilula, minice, a i bikiniji su postajali sve odvažniji: pojavio se i "trikini" - dijelovi su se trebali nalijepiti na ključna mjesta, a ubrzo i monokini. Žene su se osjećale slobodnima da pokažu gotovo sve što imaju.

Je li zbog AIDS-a ili povratka u konzervativnost u međuvremenu su i plaže postale mnogo ćudorednija mjesta nego što su bila u osamdesetima. Ali fascinacija bikinijem nije prestala, a u osamdesetima i devedesetima vrhunac neke modne revije nije bila vjenčanica, nego bikini i moda za plažu. Nositeljice takvih modela se više nije trebalo tražiti u polusvijetu: superzvijezde modnih pista poput Claudije Schiffer, Linde Evangeliste ili Naomi Campbell su se otimale da im pripadne čast zaključiti reviju sa tek minimalnom količinom tekstila na sebi.

Kako se čini, bikini je postao osnovna oprema svake žene za ljeto, bila to tek curica ili gospođa u godinama sa stasom gdje se ponetko mora pitati, je li bikini doista bila dobra ideja - i tu se ne misli samo na atomsku bombu. A bikini u svakom slučaju i dalje puni medije već i redovitim savjetima svakog proljeća kako da se dijetom dobije "savršena" bikini-figura. A muškarci i dalje s velikim zanimanjem prate razvoj ove priče o uspjehu.

Jedan pariški inženjer 1946. predstavio je 'skandalozan' kupaći kostim za dame: bikini koji na plaži i bazenu zapravo više pokazuje nego što skriva. A zbog svojih dimenzija je uvijek na noge dizao "zaštitnike morala".

Inženjer strojarstva Louis Réard uopće nije mogao naći profesionalni model koji bi pristao na sebe navući njegovu kreaciju, tako da je za prezentaciju svog novog kupaćeg kostima 5. srpnja 1946. morao angažirati striptizetu Micheline Bernardini. Naziv kostima nije slučajnost: samo četiri dana ranije su Amerikanci izveli prvi atomski pokus na pacifičkom atolu Bikiniju. Tamo je detonirala atomska bomba od 23 kilotone - ali učinak koji je imao novi kupaći kostim iz Pariza na čitavu svjetsku javnost je bio kud i kamo veći od te atomske bombe, analizira DW.

Réard se nije prevario: toliko gole kože je za ono doba bilo puno previše. Samozvani čuvari morala su bili zaprepašteni. Smatrali su da pristojna žena tek godinu dana nakon kraja Drugog svjetskog rata treba nositi suknju, a ne tako besramno pokazivati svoje čari.

Makar je ova kreacija odmah izazvala golemu pozornost (naravno, prije svega muškaraca), bikini je još dugo bio "zabranjena zona" i za javnost i za "pristojan" tisak. Čak i poznati modni časopis Vogue još dugo nije želio objavljivati fotografije modela u takvim besramnim kostimima. Ali sve je bilo više i poznatih žena koje se nisu sramile pojaviti se u bikiniju, od Marilyn Monroe pa do Brigitte Bardot.

PPK, martini - i bikini

1962. je u kina došao prvi film o legendarnom britanskom agentu Jamesu Bondu, "Doktor No". Za mnoge najnapetiji prizor, mnogo uzbudljiviji nego kad 007 izvuče svoj Walther PPK (i u svakom slučaju, mnogo više "lupa u glavu" nego njegov martini - shaken, not stirred) jest kad Ursula Andress izlazi iz vode samo u bijelom bikiniju. (Točnije, u tom prizoru nosi i nekakve glupave školjke, ali to nikoga nije zanimalo.)

Ali taj, u modnu povijest će ući pod nazivom "Dr. No bikini", je konačno otvorio vrata tom oskudnom kupaćem kostimu tako da su i muževi mogli pristati da njihove zakonite "tako nešto" nose na plaži. Poanta je zapravo - žene su u tim šezdesetima definitivno prestale bilo koga pitati što smiju nositi. Došla je anti-bebi pilula, minice, a i bikiniji su postajali sve odvažniji: pojavio se i "trikini" - dijelovi su se trebali nalijepiti na ključna mjesta, a ubrzo i monokini. Žene su se osjećale slobodnima da pokažu gotovo sve što imaju.

Je li zbog AIDS-a ili povratka u konzervativnost u međuvremenu su i plaže postale mnogo ćudorednija mjesta nego što su bila u osamdesetima. Ali fascinacija bikinijem nije prestala, a u osamdesetima i devedesetima vrhunac neke modne revije nije bila vjenčanica, nego bikini i moda za plažu. Nositeljice takvih modela se više nije trebalo tražiti u polusvijetu: superzvijezde modnih pista poput Claudije Schiffer, Linde Evangeliste ili Naomi Campbell su se otimale da im pripadne čast zaključiti reviju sa tek minimalnom količinom tekstila na sebi.

Kako se čini, bikini je postao osnovna oprema svake žene za ljeto, bila to tek curica ili gospođa u godinama sa stasom gdje se ponetko mora pitati, je li bikini doista bila dobra ideja - i tu se ne misli samo na atomsku bombu. A bikini u svakom slučaju i dalje puni medije već i redovitim savjetima svakog proljeća kako da se dijetom dobije "savršena" bikini-figura. A muškarci i dalje s velikim zanimanjem prate razvoj ove priče o uspjehu.
