Na holivudsku scenu Mayim Bialik stupila je kao šestogodišnja djevojčica. Te davne 1988. godine glumila je dječiju verziju glavnog lika koji je igrala slavna Bette Midler.

Uspjeh te drame je omogućio Bialik da dobije svoj vlastiti teen sitcom, Blossom. Serija koja se emitirala od 1990. do 1995. je bila veoma popularna te je učinila Mayim prepoznatljivom i uzorom mladih Amerikanki.

I grew up walking distance from the theater where today my mom, my sons, and their dad watched me put my hands in cement.
