Ako i nije raskošna ljepotica i među drugim biljkama je neupadljiva, neodoljivo privlači karakterističnim mirisom. Njene vrijednosti u prehrani i koristi za cijeli organizam svrstavaju je visoko na popisu superbiljaka, piše Živim.
Začinska biljka koja bi se svakako morala nalaziti na polici sa začinima u svakoj kuhinji je ljupčac. Kod nas je ljudi često nazivaju biljka vegeta ili biljka magi (od njemačkog Maggikraut), jer jelima daje ugodan i intenzivan miris po ovim poznatim začinima. Drugi njezini nazivi su miloduh, selen, milobud, torjevac, luštrek. Povijest biljke seže još u doba starog Rima, gdje je stigla iz južnog Irana, a zatim su je benediktinci prenijeli na sjever Europe. Zbog toga se i smatra da je to biljka svećenika - njihovi samostanski vrtovi bili su dragocjen izvor začina i bilja. Pripisivale su joj se i afrodizijačke moći pa se koristila u pripremi ljubavnih napitaka. Najčešće se uzgaja kao dvogodišnja biljka. Bujnog je rasta, u visinu raste oko metar i pol, nerijetko i dva, te metar u širinu.
Nezamjenjiv je začin u juhama
Najbolje uspijeva na suhom i jako sunčanom mjestu. Za potrebe prehrambene i farmaceutske industrije uzgaja se iz sjemena, ali za osobne potrebe preporučuje se kupiti sadnicu. Da bi se osigurala dulja opskrba svježim listovima tijekom sezone, korisno je cijelu biljku prije cvatnje odrezati tik iznad zemlje i onda obilno zalijevati. Ljupčac je vrijedna biljka i trebala bi se nalaziti u svakom vrtu. Povoljno utječe na zdravlje okolnih biljaka i pojačava okus povrća koje raste u njezinoj blizini. Ujutro se u vrtu osjeti njen poseban miris koji će vas podsjetiti na bakinu domaću juhu. Cijela biljka je iskoristiva, od korijena do sjemena, iako se u kulinarstvu najčešće upotrebljavaju svježi listovi, koji su u kod nas dostupni od ožujka do listopada. Tijekom zime mogu se koristiti listovi spremljeni u zamrzivaču ili osušeni. Teško se uzgaja u teglama, ali možete pokušati - ako uspijete, neće vam biti žao. U kulinarstvu ljupčac se odlično slaže s mesom, ribom, sirom i povrćem.
Nezamjenjiv je začin u juhama, jelima s povrćem i umacima te u jelima od mesa. Posebnu aromu i specifičan miris daje ajvaru. No, kod dodavanja ovog začina jelima treba biti pažljiv jer vrlo lako nadvlada ostale začine i osnovni miris jela. Ljupčac pomaže izlučivanju vode. To se svojstvo pripisuje eteričnom ulju kojega ima u korijenu i do 1%. Korijen se rijetko koristi sam, ali je dragocjen sastojak čajnih mješavina za izlučivanje vode. Ponekad se korijen ili suhi listovi ljupčaca dodaju čajevima za želudac ili za čišćenje krvi. Teško je utvrditi dodaje li se ljupčac tim čajevima zbog ljekovitog učinka ili samo zbog ugodnog okusa koji se postiže dodavanjem i najmanje količine te biljke.
Stimulira mokrenje i regulira probavu, čisti jetru, pomaže kod napetosti. Kod žena može pospješiti menstruaciju, a trudnice je ne smiju koristiti jer, kao i peršin, može izazvati pobačaj. Ne smije se koristiti kod povišene temperature.
ČAJ ZA BUBREGE
Dvije žlice osušenog korijena preliti sa 2,5 dl hladne vode i prokuhati minutu. Pije se 2 puta dnevno ujutro i navečer.
SIRNI NAMAZ
Svježi sir posolite, dodajte sitno nasjeckani ljupčac, vlasac, usitnjenu ljutu papriku i dobro izmiješate.
OMLET
Sitno nasjeckajte lišće ljupčaca, umiješate ga u tučena jaja i ispecite.
KREM JUHA
Trebat će vam 1/2 kg mladog krumpira, 1 mladi luk, 1 žlica ulja, 1 žlica lišća ljupčaca, sol, papar.
Kad je povrće skuhano, izmiksajte i prema želji dodajte malo vrhnja za kuhanje.
DOMAĆA MJEŠAVINA ZAČINA
Sameljete mrkvu, korijen peršina, lišće celera, vlasca, ljupčaca pa osušite na 50°C u pećnici i spremite u suhe staklenke. Ili svježe pomiješate sa soli pa spremite.
AROMATIZIRANI OCAT
U jabučni ili vinski ocat stavite lišće ljupčaca. Ostavite nekoliko dana na hladnom mjestu, potom procijedite i koristite kao začin za salate

Ako i nije raskošna ljepotica i među drugim biljkama je neupadljiva, neodoljivo privlači karakterističnim mirisom. Njene vrijednosti u prehrani i koristi za cijeli organizam svrstavaju je visoko na popisu superbiljaka, piše Živim.
Začinska biljka koja bi se svakako morala nalaziti na polici sa začinima u svakoj kuhinji je ljupčac. Kod nas je ljudi često nazivaju biljka vegeta ili biljka magi (od njemačkog Maggikraut), jer jelima daje ugodan i intenzivan miris po ovim poznatim začinima. Drugi njezini nazivi su miloduh, selen, milobud, torjevac, luštrek. Povijest biljke seže još u doba starog Rima, gdje je stigla iz južnog Irana, a zatim su je benediktinci prenijeli na sjever Europe. Zbog toga se i smatra da je to biljka svećenika - njihovi samostanski vrtovi bili su dragocjen izvor začina i bilja. Pripisivale su joj se i afrodizijačke moći pa se koristila u pripremi ljubavnih napitaka. Najčešće se uzgaja kao dvogodišnja biljka. Bujnog je rasta, u visinu raste oko metar i pol, nerijetko i dva, te metar u širinu.
Nezamjenjiv je začin u juhama
Najbolje uspijeva na suhom i jako sunčanom mjestu. Za potrebe prehrambene i farmaceutske industrije uzgaja se iz sjemena, ali za osobne potrebe preporučuje se kupiti sadnicu. Da bi se osigurala dulja opskrba svježim listovima tijekom sezone, korisno je cijelu biljku prije cvatnje odrezati tik iznad zemlje i onda obilno zalijevati. Ljupčac je vrijedna biljka i trebala bi se nalaziti u svakom vrtu. Povoljno utječe na zdravlje okolnih biljaka i pojačava okus povrća koje raste u njezinoj blizini. Ujutro se u vrtu osjeti njen poseban miris koji će vas podsjetiti na bakinu domaću juhu. Cijela biljka je iskoristiva, od korijena do sjemena, iako se u kulinarstvu najčešće upotrebljavaju svježi listovi, koji su u kod nas dostupni od ožujka do listopada. Tijekom zime mogu se koristiti listovi spremljeni u zamrzivaču ili osušeni. Teško se uzgaja u teglama, ali možete pokušati - ako uspijete, neće vam biti žao. U kulinarstvu ljupčac se odlično slaže s mesom, ribom, sirom i povrćem.
Nezamjenjiv je začin u juhama, jelima s povrćem i umacima te u jelima od mesa. Posebnu aromu i specifičan miris daje ajvaru. No, kod dodavanja ovog začina jelima treba biti pažljiv jer vrlo lako nadvlada ostale začine i osnovni miris jela. Ljupčac pomaže izlučivanju vode. To se svojstvo pripisuje eteričnom ulju kojega ima u korijenu i do 1%. Korijen se rijetko koristi sam, ali je dragocjen sastojak čajnih mješavina za izlučivanje vode. Ponekad se korijen ili suhi listovi ljupčaca dodaju čajevima za želudac ili za čišćenje krvi. Teško je utvrditi dodaje li se ljupčac tim čajevima zbog ljekovitog učinka ili samo zbog ugodnog okusa koji se postiže dodavanjem i najmanje količine te biljke.
Stimulira mokrenje i regulira probavu, čisti jetru, pomaže kod napetosti. Kod žena može pospješiti menstruaciju, a trudnice je ne smiju koristiti jer, kao i peršin, može izazvati pobačaj. Ne smije se koristiti kod povišene temperature.
ČAJ ZA BUBREGE
Dvije žlice osušenog korijena preliti sa 2,5 dl hladne vode i prokuhati minutu. Pije se 2 puta dnevno ujutro i navečer.
SIRNI NAMAZ
Svježi sir posolite, dodajte sitno nasjeckani ljupčac, vlasac, usitnjenu ljutu papriku i dobro izmiješate.
OMLET
Sitno nasjeckajte lišće ljupčaca, umiješate ga u tučena jaja i ispecite.
KREM JUHA
Trebat će vam 1/2 kg mladog krumpira, 1 mladi luk, 1 žlica ulja, 1 žlica lišća ljupčaca, sol, papar.
Kad je povrće skuhano, izmiksajte i prema želji dodajte malo vrhnja za kuhanje.
DOMAĆA MJEŠAVINA ZAČINA
Sameljete mrkvu, korijen peršina, lišće celera, vlasca, ljupčaca pa osušite na 50°C u pećnici i spremite u suhe staklenke. Ili svježe pomiješate sa soli pa spremite.
AROMATIZIRANI OCAT
U jabučni ili vinski ocat stavite lišće ljupčaca. Ostavite nekoliko dana na hladnom mjestu, potom procijedite i koristite kao začin za salate
