Već dvadeset i jednu godinu Helena Rodek Perica živi s vitiligom. Počelo je s malom bijelom mrljom kod usana, a danas joj je sedamdeset posto kože zahvaćeno vitiligom, no ova 41-godišnja profesorica sociologije i njemačkog jezika iz Velike Gorice našla je način kako se nositi s bolešću, piše živim.hr .

- Trenutno se ne liječim jer sam vitiligo prihvatila kao dio sebe. Prijatelj mi je jednom rekao da je moja koža umjetničko platno. Jako mi se dopala ta ideja. Dugo sam bila na raznim terapijama, uključujući i liječenje na Mrtvom moru, koje mi je najviše pomoglo, i Protopic mast. Sada imam druge prioritete u životu, tako da smo vitiligo i ja trenutačno u fazi: aha, tu si, dobro, idemo dalje. Da ima dana kada mi je teško, ima, ali brzo prođu - kaže Helena Rodek Perica. Njezini dani zaokupljeni su brigom o malom djetetu, a radi i u odjelu za ljudske resurse jedne tvrtke.

Najgore je kad stres prođe

Kao i kod bilo koje druge bolesti stres, nedovoljno sna i lošija prehrana pogoršavaju stanje.

- Stres definitivno najviše utječe na bolest, ali ne u samoj fazi stresa, nego kada popusti i kada se smirite. Prehrana i nedostatak sna također. U biti, sve je povezano. Samo, ne možete živjeti bez takvih stvari. Događaju se - kaže Helena. Živimo, nažalost, u društvu čiji je mentalitet takav da se boji svega što nije "normalno", pa se tako i naša sugovornica suočava s brojnim predrasudama na koje vrlo često nailaze oboljeli od kožnih bolesti.

- Puno sam se puta susrela s predrasudama, ali moram priznati da je s vremenom, godinama i dostupnošću informacija predrasuda ipak manje. Ljudi su bježali iz bazena, slikali me potajno na plaži, pokrivali u autobusu. Kao i sve, uvijek je problem u neinformiranosti i strahu od nepoznatog - naglašava Helena. I njoj je bolest bila u početku nepoznata, trebalo je vremena da se navikne na mrlje.

Vitiligo je u početku utjecao i na promjenu nekih životnih navika. Danas mu više ne dopušta da upravlja njezinim životom.

- Na početku bolesti promijenila sam način odijevanja. Kad mi je bolest dijagnosticirana, zatvorila sam se u kuću, plakala, gasila svjetlo. S vremenom sam vratila svoj život. Osim estetskog dijela, realno, ništa vam se drugo ne mijenja i u odnosu na druge kožne bolesti vitiligo je bezbolan. Više je faktora, kaže, koji su joj pomogli da se lakše nosi sa svojom bolešću.

- Na prvom mjestu su bliski ljudi, a potom trenutak kada sam u društvu ljudi s raznim kožnim bolestima koje su vidljive shvatila da ja to na njima ne vidim i da netko i na mene možda gleda tako. Naravno, morate raditi na sebi, ali potpora okoline ključ je u prihvaćanju bolesti - ističe Helena.

Važna je i prehrana

I ono što jedemo, kaže, utječe na stanje organizma.

- Promijenila sam prehranu, ali ne zbog vitiliga, već zato što imam još jednu autoimunu bolest. Dugo sam bila na bezglutenskoj prehrani, bez šećera i mliječnih proizvoda. Danas više nisam jer iziskuje vrijeme i planiranje. Mislim da ono što jedemo pridonosi stanju organizma. Ali ako psihički nismo dobro, uz najrigorozniju prehranu nećete pokrenuti promjene - kaže Helena. Članica je Hrvatskog saveza oboljelih od vitiliga.

- To je predivna inicijativa jer okuplja stručnjake i oboljele na jednom mjestu. Imamo sreće što se tiče naših liječnika jer prate svjetske novitete i terapije. Svake godine na inicijativu udruge obilježavamo Svjetski dan vitiliga - 25. lipnja, kada okupimo goste s područja zdravstva, kozmetičke industrije i oboljele od vitiliga. Tu se razmjenjuju iskustva, sklapaju poznanstva te dobivaju informacije o novim vrstama terapija i novim stručnim saznanjima - zaključuje Helena, piše  živim.hr .

Već dvadeset i jednu godinu Helena Rodek Perica živi s vitiligom. Počelo je s malom bijelom mrljom kod usana, a danas joj je sedamdeset posto kože zahvaćeno vitiligom, no ova 41-godišnja profesorica sociologije i njemačkog jezika iz Velike Gorice našla je način kako se nositi s bolešću, piše živim.hr .

- Trenutno se ne liječim jer sam vitiligo prihvatila kao dio sebe. Prijatelj mi je jednom rekao da je moja koža umjetničko platno. Jako mi se dopala ta ideja. Dugo sam bila na raznim terapijama, uključujući i liječenje na Mrtvom moru, koje mi je najviše pomoglo, i Protopic mast. Sada imam druge prioritete u životu, tako da smo vitiligo i ja trenutačno u fazi: aha, tu si, dobro, idemo dalje. Da ima dana kada mi je teško, ima, ali brzo prođu - kaže Helena Rodek Perica. Njezini dani zaokupljeni su brigom o malom djetetu, a radi i u odjelu za ljudske resurse jedne tvrtke.

Najgore je kad stres prođe

Kao i kod bilo koje druge bolesti stres, nedovoljno sna i lošija prehrana pogoršavaju stanje.

- Stres definitivno najviše utječe na bolest, ali ne u samoj fazi stresa, nego kada popusti i kada se smirite. Prehrana i nedostatak sna također. U biti, sve je povezano. Samo, ne možete živjeti bez takvih stvari. Događaju se - kaže Helena. Živimo, nažalost, u društvu čiji je mentalitet takav da se boji svega što nije "normalno", pa se tako i naša sugovornica suočava s brojnim predrasudama na koje vrlo često nailaze oboljeli od kožnih bolesti.

- Puno sam se puta susrela s predrasudama, ali moram priznati da je s vremenom, godinama i dostupnošću informacija predrasuda ipak manje. Ljudi su bježali iz bazena, slikali me potajno na plaži, pokrivali u autobusu. Kao i sve, uvijek je problem u neinformiranosti i strahu od nepoznatog - naglašava Helena. I njoj je bolest bila u početku nepoznata, trebalo je vremena da se navikne na mrlje.

Vitiligo je u početku utjecao i na promjenu nekih životnih navika. Danas mu više ne dopušta da upravlja njezinim životom.

- Na početku bolesti promijenila sam način odijevanja. Kad mi je bolest dijagnosticirana, zatvorila sam se u kuću, plakala, gasila svjetlo. S vremenom sam vratila svoj život. Osim estetskog dijela, realno, ništa vam se drugo ne mijenja i u odnosu na druge kožne bolesti vitiligo je bezbolan. Više je faktora, kaže, koji su joj pomogli da se lakše nosi sa svojom bolešću.

- Na prvom mjestu su bliski ljudi, a potom trenutak kada sam u društvu ljudi s raznim kožnim bolestima koje su vidljive shvatila da ja to na njima ne vidim i da netko i na mene možda gleda tako. Naravno, morate raditi na sebi, ali potpora okoline ključ je u prihvaćanju bolesti - ističe Helena.

Važna je i prehrana

I ono što jedemo, kaže, utječe na stanje organizma.

- Promijenila sam prehranu, ali ne zbog vitiliga, već zato što imam još jednu autoimunu bolest. Dugo sam bila na bezglutenskoj prehrani, bez šećera i mliječnih proizvoda. Danas više nisam jer iziskuje vrijeme i planiranje. Mislim da ono što jedemo pridonosi stanju organizma. Ali ako psihički nismo dobro, uz najrigorozniju prehranu nećete pokrenuti promjene - kaže Helena. Članica je Hrvatskog saveza oboljelih od vitiliga.

- To je predivna inicijativa jer okuplja stručnjake i oboljele na jednom mjestu. Imamo sreće što se tiče naših liječnika jer prate svjetske novitete i terapije. Svake godine na inicijativu udruge obilježavamo Svjetski dan vitiliga - 25. lipnja, kada okupimo goste s područja zdravstva, kozmetičke industrije i oboljele od vitiliga. Tu se razmjenjuju iskustva, sklapaju poznanstva te dobivaju informacije o novim vrstama terapija i novim stručnim saznanjima - zaključuje Helena, piše  živim.hr .
