Britanski znanstvenici utvrdili su da se manje od trećine pacijenata potpuno oporavi unutar 12 mjeseci po otpustu iz bolnice, nakon preboljenja koronavirusne bolesti.
Manje od 30 posto pacijenata, koji su bili hospitalizirani zbog covida-19 i imali su simptome i nakon otpusta, kaže da se osjećaju potpuno oporavljenima godinu dana kasnije, prema studiji koja nudi nove uvide u potencijalne tretmane, prenio je britanski Guardian.
Sada je studija otkrila da je kod mnogih od onih koji su imali dugotrajne simptome nakon hospitalizacije uočeno malo poboljšanja.
Njihovo stanje otprilike 12 mjeseci nakon otpusta slično je onome nakon pet mjeseci po izlasku iz bolnice.
"Samo se svaki treći sudionik istraživanja osjećao potpuno oporavljenim u roku od godine dana", rekla je Rachel Evans, jedna od suvoditeljica posthospitalizacijske studije covida-19, provedene pod okriljem Nacionalnog instituta za zdravstvena istraživanja (NIHR) biomedicinskog istraživačkog centra u Leicesteru.
Zbog nepotpunih podataka smatraju da bi se taj raspon mogao kretati od 20 do 60 posto, prema istraživanju koje tek treba proći znanstvenu recenziju.
Tim je prikupio podatke od pacijenata anketiranjem i zdravstvenim pregledima kojima je analizrana fizička sprema i funkcija pojedinih organa.
Studijom je obuhvaćeno 2320 odraslih osoba koje su pregledane oko pet mjeseci nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice te ponovno njih 924 otprilike godinu dana nakon otpusta iz bolnice, od kojih je 807 bilo obuhvaćeno prethodnim pregledom.
Između pet mjeseci i godinu dana nakon otpusta, broj ispitanika koji su izjavili da se osjećaju oporavljenima ostao je vrlo sličan – nešto manje od 30 posto, a jednako je bilo i s prevladavajućim simptomima među kojima su bili nedostatak zraka, nemoć i bolovi.

Uočeno je malo ili nikakvo poboljšanje u područjima koja uključuju funkciju organa, fizičku spremu i kognitivne probleme tzv. “maglu u glavi” – s otprilike svakim desetim pacijentom koji se i dalje žalio na mentalni simptom 12 mjeseci nakon otpusta.
"Nažalost, nismo vidjeli poboljšanja u roku od godine u odnosu na ljude pet mjeseci nakon otpusta", rekla je Evans.
Daljnji rad tima otkrio je da su se ispitanici grupirali u jednu od četiri "grupe": vrlo teške simptome, teške simptome, blage simptome i one s jakom 'maglom u glavi' i drugim umjerenim simptomima.
Dok su oni iz "blage" skupine u prosjeku prijavili četiri simptoma, oni u vrlo teškoj skupini prijavili su 20 simptoma.
Ankete su pokazale da su ispitanici, ocjenjujući svoje zdravlje u usporedbi s vremenom prije hospitalizacije, izvijestili o značajnom pogoršanju zdravlja, naročito kod onih s težim simptomima, kako nakon pet mjeseci tako i nakon godinu dana.
Tim je otkrio da su žene, pretile osobe, one sposobne hodati samo vrlo kratke dionice i one s povišenim razinama određenih upalnih proteina u krvi bile zastupljenije u skupini s teškim simptomima.
Chris Brightling, profesor respiratorne medicine na Sveučilištu Leicester i voditelj studije, rekao je da tim pokušava otkriti može li autoimuna reakcija biti pokretač dugotrajnog bolesnog stanja, dodajući da bi se mogli testirati protuupalni lijekovi kako bi se vidjelo pomažu li poboljšanju.
Evans je dodao da su programi mršavljenja i tjelovježbe druga područja koja treba istražiti kao moguće terapije.

Britanski znanstvenici utvrdili su da se manje od trećine pacijenata potpuno oporavi unutar 12 mjeseci po otpustu iz bolnice, nakon preboljenja koronavirusne bolesti.
Manje od 30 posto pacijenata, koji su bili hospitalizirani zbog covida-19 i imali su simptome i nakon otpusta, kaže da se osjećaju potpuno oporavljenima godinu dana kasnije, prema studiji koja nudi nove uvide u potencijalne tretmane, prenio je britanski Guardian.
Sada je studija otkrila da je kod mnogih od onih koji su imali dugotrajne simptome nakon hospitalizacije uočeno malo poboljšanja.
Njihovo stanje otprilike 12 mjeseci nakon otpusta slično je onome nakon pet mjeseci po izlasku iz bolnice.
"Samo se svaki treći sudionik istraživanja osjećao potpuno oporavljenim u roku od godine dana", rekla je Rachel Evans, jedna od suvoditeljica posthospitalizacijske studije covida-19, provedene pod okriljem Nacionalnog instituta za zdravstvena istraživanja (NIHR) biomedicinskog istraživačkog centra u Leicesteru.
Zbog nepotpunih podataka smatraju da bi se taj raspon mogao kretati od 20 do 60 posto, prema istraživanju koje tek treba proći znanstvenu recenziju.
Tim je prikupio podatke od pacijenata anketiranjem i zdravstvenim pregledima kojima je analizrana fizička sprema i funkcija pojedinih organa.
Studijom je obuhvaćeno 2320 odraslih osoba koje su pregledane oko pet mjeseci nakon što su otpušteni iz bolnice te ponovno njih 924 otprilike godinu dana nakon otpusta iz bolnice, od kojih je 807 bilo obuhvaćeno prethodnim pregledom.
Između pet mjeseci i godinu dana nakon otpusta, broj ispitanika koji su izjavili da se osjećaju oporavljenima ostao je vrlo sličan – nešto manje od 30 posto, a jednako je bilo i s prevladavajućim simptomima među kojima su bili nedostatak zraka, nemoć i bolovi.

Uočeno je malo ili nikakvo poboljšanje u područjima koja uključuju funkciju organa, fizičku spremu i kognitivne probleme tzv. “maglu u glavi” – s otprilike svakim desetim pacijentom koji se i dalje žalio na mentalni simptom 12 mjeseci nakon otpusta.
"Nažalost, nismo vidjeli poboljšanja u roku od godine u odnosu na ljude pet mjeseci nakon otpusta", rekla je Evans.
Daljnji rad tima otkrio je da su se ispitanici grupirali u jednu od četiri "grupe": vrlo teške simptome, teške simptome, blage simptome i one s jakom 'maglom u glavi' i drugim umjerenim simptomima.
Dok su oni iz "blage" skupine u prosjeku prijavili četiri simptoma, oni u vrlo teškoj skupini prijavili su 20 simptoma.
Ankete su pokazale da su ispitanici, ocjenjujući svoje zdravlje u usporedbi s vremenom prije hospitalizacije, izvijestili o značajnom pogoršanju zdravlja, naročito kod onih s težim simptomima, kako nakon pet mjeseci tako i nakon godinu dana.
Tim je otkrio da su žene, pretile osobe, one sposobne hodati samo vrlo kratke dionice i one s povišenim razinama određenih upalnih proteina u krvi bile zastupljenije u skupini s teškim simptomima.
Chris Brightling, profesor respiratorne medicine na Sveučilištu Leicester i voditelj studije, rekao je da tim pokušava otkriti može li autoimuna reakcija biti pokretač dugotrajnog bolesnog stanja, dodajući da bi se mogli testirati protuupalni lijekovi kako bi se vidjelo pomažu li poboljšanju.
Evans je dodao da su programi mršavljenja i tjelovježbe druga područja koja treba istražiti kao moguće terapije.
