Gotovo svaka sedma osoba koja je testirana pozitivno na Covid-19 osjeća simptome i tri mjeseca kasnije, pokazuju novi podaci iz Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.
Najveća studija o dugotrajnom covidu britanskog Ureda za nacionalnu statistiku (ONS) otkrila je da ljudi s koronavirusom puno češće od opće populacije prijavljuju zdravstvene probleme, koji mogu uključivati bol u mišićima i umor.
Na uzorku od više od 20.000 ljudi, koji su bili pozitivni na Covid-19 između travnja 2020. i ožujka ove godine, 13,7 posto nastavilo je osjećati simptome najmanje 12 tjedana.
To je bilo osam puta više nego u kontrolnoj skupini ljudi za koje je malo vjerojatno da su imali Covid-19, navodi ONS.
Od onih koji su bili pozitivni, petina ili 21 posto i dalje je imala simptome koronavirusa pet tjedana nakon testiranja.
Žene su češće prijavljivale dugotrajni Covid od muškaraca, 14,7 posto u usporedbi s 12,7 posto, a najviše je prevladavao među onima u dobi od 25 do 34 godine.

Na većem uzorku ljudi sa i bez testova na Covid, ONS je procijenio da se 1,1 milijun ljudi suočio s dugotrajnim Covidom u četiri tjedna do 6. ožujka.
Od tog broja, oko 697.000 ljudi je prvi put imalo Covid ili su mislili da su oboljeli najmanje 12 tjedana prije, dok se 70.000 prvi put susrelo s virusom ili su mislili da su se zarazili prije godinu dana.
Procjenjeno je da dugotrajni Covid negativno utječe na svakodnevne aktivnosti 674.000 ljudi, dok je 196.000 prijavilo da ih jako ograničava u obavljanju svakodnevnih aktivnosti.
Od onih koji su sami prijavili dugotrajni Covid, najviše su pogođeni oni u dobi od 35 do 69 godina, kao i žene, ljudi koji žive u najsiromašnijim područjima, zaposleni u zdravstvu ili socijalnoj skrbi i oni s komorbiditetima.
Britanski ministar zdravstva Matt Hancock izjavio je da je "vrlo zabrinut" zbog utjecaja dugotrajnog Covida te da britanska vlada ulaže više u rješavanje i razumijevanje tog stanja.
U veljači je direktor za Europu Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) rekao na brifingu da je teret dugotrajnog covida "stvaran i znatan".

Gotovo svaka sedma osoba koja je testirana pozitivno na Covid-19 osjeća simptome i tri mjeseca kasnije, pokazuju novi podaci iz Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva.
Najveća studija o dugotrajnom covidu britanskog Ureda za nacionalnu statistiku (ONS) otkrila je da ljudi s koronavirusom puno češće od opće populacije prijavljuju zdravstvene probleme, koji mogu uključivati bol u mišićima i umor.
Na uzorku od više od 20.000 ljudi, koji su bili pozitivni na Covid-19 između travnja 2020. i ožujka ove godine, 13,7 posto nastavilo je osjećati simptome najmanje 12 tjedana.
To je bilo osam puta više nego u kontrolnoj skupini ljudi za koje je malo vjerojatno da su imali Covid-19, navodi ONS.
Od onih koji su bili pozitivni, petina ili 21 posto i dalje je imala simptome koronavirusa pet tjedana nakon testiranja.
Žene su češće prijavljivale dugotrajni Covid od muškaraca, 14,7 posto u usporedbi s 12,7 posto, a najviše je prevladavao među onima u dobi od 25 do 34 godine.

Na većem uzorku ljudi sa i bez testova na Covid, ONS je procijenio da se 1,1 milijun ljudi suočio s dugotrajnim Covidom u četiri tjedna do 6. ožujka.
Od tog broja, oko 697.000 ljudi je prvi put imalo Covid ili su mislili da su oboljeli najmanje 12 tjedana prije, dok se 70.000 prvi put susrelo s virusom ili su mislili da su se zarazili prije godinu dana.
Procjenjeno je da dugotrajni Covid negativno utječe na svakodnevne aktivnosti 674.000 ljudi, dok je 196.000 prijavilo da ih jako ograničava u obavljanju svakodnevnih aktivnosti.
Od onih koji su sami prijavili dugotrajni Covid, najviše su pogođeni oni u dobi od 35 do 69 godina, kao i žene, ljudi koji žive u najsiromašnijim područjima, zaposleni u zdravstvu ili socijalnoj skrbi i oni s komorbiditetima.
Britanski ministar zdravstva Matt Hancock izjavio je da je "vrlo zabrinut" zbog utjecaja dugotrajnog Covida te da britanska vlada ulaže više u rješavanje i razumijevanje tog stanja.
U veljači je direktor za Europu Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) rekao na brifingu da je teret dugotrajnog covida "stvaran i znatan".
