Svako trinaesto dijete ima ozbiljniju alergiju na hranu kao što je mlijeko, jaja, riba, školjke, pšenica, kikiriki... Budući da ne postoji liječenje i takve alergije mogu biti opasne za život, većina roditelja eliminira jedan ili više glavnih alergena iz njihove prehrane.

Djeca koja su alergična na kravlje mlijeko manje su težine od svojih vršnjaka koji su alergični na orahe. Stanje se nastavlja u ranu adolescenciju. Rezultati longitudinalne studije - prve koja je pratila djecu s alergijama u dobi od dvije godine do adolescencije - objavljeni su u časopisu The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

"Objavljeni podaci o tijeku rasta djece s trajnom alergijom na hranu su rijetki. Još uvijek nije jasno kako ovi trendovi rasta u konačnici utječu na to koliko će visoka djeca biti kad odrastu i koliko će težiti. Međutim, svi pokazatelji govore da mladi odrasli ljudi s perzistentnom alergijom na kravlje mlijeko nikada ne dosegnu svoj puni potencijal rasta", kaže alergologinja Karen A. Robbins, vodeća autorica studije.

Istraživački tim pregledao je dokumentaciju djece s trajnom alergijom na kravlje mlijeko i orašaste plodove. Razmatrani su klinički simptomi, specifična razina imunoglobulina i rezultati ispitivanja kože. Da bi bila uključena u studiju, djeca su morala imati najmanje jedan ambulantni posjet u roku od tri definirana vremenska okvira - od vremena kada su napunili dvije godine do 12. godine. Ako su bili alergični na kravlje mlijeko, morali su ga potpuno eliminirati iz prehrane.

Od studenoga 1994. do ožujka 2015. u studiju je uključeno 191 dijete: 111 s alergijama na kravlje mlijeko i 80 s alergijama na orahe. U dobi od dvije do 12 godina imali su 1186 kliničkih posjeta liječniku; 91 posto djece s alergijama na kravlje mlijeko bili su dječaci. U djece s alergijama na orahe 51,3 posto su bili dječaci. Analiza podataka pokazala je da djeca alergična na kravlje mlijeko imaju manju tjelesnu visinu i manju tjelesnu težinu. Odstupanje u visini bilo je najizraženije u dobi od pet do osam godina i u dobi od devet do 12 godina.

Dvadesetak alergena

Alergija na kravlje mlijeko javlja se u oko 2,5 posto dojenčadi i u djece do druge godine života te je najčešća alergijska reakcija u djece te dobi. To se tumači činjenicom da su bjelančevine kravljeg mlijeka obično prve strane bjelančevine s kojima dolazimo u kontakt. U kravljem mlijeku nalazi se dvadesetak tvari koje mogu uzrokovati alergijsku reakciju. Najvažnije su laktoglobulini, laktalbumin, kazein i kravlji albumin. Pasteriziranjem mlijeka ne smanjuje se njegova alergogenost. Oko 50 posto bolesnika koji su alergični na kravlje mlijeko, alergični su i na kozje mlijeko. U oko 50 posto bolesnika koji su zbog alergije na kravlje uzimali sojino mlijeko, razvije se osjetljivost i na soju. Na sreću, preosjetljivost na kravlje mlijeko često nije trajna pojava. Oko 85 posto djece u kojih je bila dokazana alergija na kravlje mlijeko prestaje biti alergično do treće godine života te može konzumirati kravlje mlijeko bez posljedica.
Ova alergija može uzrokovati sustavne reakcije opasne po život (anafilaktički šok) ili zahvatiti jedan ili više organskih sustava. Najčešće su kožne reakcije (urtikarija, angioedem, atopijski dermatitis). Nerijetko se alergija na hranu očituje samo tzv. oralnim alergijskim sindromom, odnosno osjećajem pečenja ili svrbeža jezika, otokom jezika, usnica, nepca ili ždrijela.

Svako trinaesto dijete ima ozbiljniju alergiju na hranu kao što je mlijeko, jaja, riba, školjke, pšenica, kikiriki... Budući da ne postoji liječenje i takve alergije mogu biti opasne za život, većina roditelja eliminira jedan ili više glavnih alergena iz njihove prehrane.

Djeca koja su alergična na kravlje mlijeko manje su težine od svojih vršnjaka koji su alergični na orahe. Stanje se nastavlja u ranu adolescenciju. Rezultati longitudinalne studije - prve koja je pratila djecu s alergijama u dobi od dvije godine do adolescencije - objavljeni su u časopisu The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

"Objavljeni podaci o tijeku rasta djece s trajnom alergijom na hranu su rijetki. Još uvijek nije jasno kako ovi trendovi rasta u konačnici utječu na to koliko će visoka djeca biti kad odrastu i koliko će težiti. Međutim, svi pokazatelji govore da mladi odrasli ljudi s perzistentnom alergijom na kravlje mlijeko nikada ne dosegnu svoj puni potencijal rasta", kaže alergologinja Karen A. Robbins, vodeća autorica studije.

Istraživački tim pregledao je dokumentaciju djece s trajnom alergijom na kravlje mlijeko i orašaste plodove. Razmatrani su klinički simptomi, specifična razina imunoglobulina i rezultati ispitivanja kože. Da bi bila uključena u studiju, djeca su morala imati najmanje jedan ambulantni posjet u roku od tri definirana vremenska okvira - od vremena kada su napunili dvije godine do 12. godine. Ako su bili alergični na kravlje mlijeko, morali su ga potpuno eliminirati iz prehrane.

Od studenoga 1994. do ožujka 2015. u studiju je uključeno 191 dijete: 111 s alergijama na kravlje mlijeko i 80 s alergijama na orahe. U dobi od dvije do 12 godina imali su 1186 kliničkih posjeta liječniku; 91 posto djece s alergijama na kravlje mlijeko bili su dječaci. U djece s alergijama na orahe 51,3 posto su bili dječaci. Analiza podataka pokazala je da djeca alergična na kravlje mlijeko imaju manju tjelesnu visinu i manju tjelesnu težinu. Odstupanje u visini bilo je najizraženije u dobi od pet do osam godina i u dobi od devet do 12 godina.

Dvadesetak alergena

Alergija na kravlje mlijeko javlja se u oko 2,5 posto dojenčadi i u djece do druge godine života te je najčešća alergijska reakcija u djece te dobi. To se tumači činjenicom da su bjelančevine kravljeg mlijeka obično prve strane bjelančevine s kojima dolazimo u kontakt. U kravljem mlijeku nalazi se dvadesetak tvari koje mogu uzrokovati alergijsku reakciju. Najvažnije su laktoglobulini, laktalbumin, kazein i kravlji albumin. Pasteriziranjem mlijeka ne smanjuje se njegova alergogenost. Oko 50 posto bolesnika koji su alergični na kravlje mlijeko, alergični su i na kozje mlijeko. U oko 50 posto bolesnika koji su zbog alergije na kravlje uzimali sojino mlijeko, razvije se osjetljivost i na soju. Na sreću, preosjetljivost na kravlje mlijeko često nije trajna pojava. Oko 85 posto djece u kojih je bila dokazana alergija na kravlje mlijeko prestaje biti alergično do treće godine života te može konzumirati kravlje mlijeko bez posljedica.
Ova alergija može uzrokovati sustavne reakcije opasne po život (anafilaktički šok) ili zahvatiti jedan ili više organskih sustava. Najčešće su kožne reakcije (urtikarija, angioedem, atopijski dermatitis). Nerijetko se alergija na hranu očituje samo tzv. oralnim alergijskim sindromom, odnosno osjećajem pečenja ili svrbeža jezika, otokom jezika, usnica, nepca ili ždrijela.

Rezultati velike studije potvrdili: djeca s alergijom na kravlje mlijeko manja su i lakša od vršnjaka

Svako trinaesto dijete ima ozbiljniju alergiju na hranu kao što je mlijeko, jaja, riba, školjke, pšenica, kikiriki... Budući da ne postoji liječenje i takve alergije mogu biti opasne za život, većina roditelja eliminira jedan ili više glavnih alergena iz njihove prehrane.

Djeca koja su alergična na kravlje mlijeko manje su težine od svojih vršnjaka koji su alergični na orahe. Stanje se nastavlja u ranu adolescenciju. Rezultati longitudinalne studije - prve koja je pratila djecu s alergijama u dobi od dvije godine do adolescencije - objavljeni su u časopisu The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
