Od pedesetih godina prošlog vijeka odgovornost za kontracepciju padala je gotovo isključivo na žene. Injekcije, tablete, flasteri, gelovi - sredstva su mnogobrojna, a internet je preplavljen informacijama o posljedicama i kontraindikacijama njihove upotrebe.

Na pomolu je revolucionarno otkriće u polju reproduktivnog zdravlja – trenutno se testira muška kontracepcijska pilula koja se uzima jednom dnevno i koja do sada nije imala nikakve negativne efekte tako da bi se relativno skoro mogla pojaviti na tržištu, piše dazeddigital.com.

Istraživanje tablete je uključivalo testiranje 40 muškaraca između 18 i 50 godina. Od ukupnog broja testiranih, deset ih je dobilo lažnu pilulu, radi očekivanog placebo efekta, dok je preostalih 30 dobilo pilulu sličnu ženskoj kontracepcijskoj piluli koja mijenja hormone i koja se uzima uz jelo tijekom 28 dana.

Lijek testnog naziva 11-beta-MNTDC koristi oblik progesterona koji blokira hormone zadužene za proizvodnju sperme, a sadrži i još jedan element sličan testosteronu koji balansira strukturu muških hormona.

Doktori koji su bili uključeni u istraživanje potvrdili su da je produkcija sperme pala kod onih muškaraca koji su svakodnevno uzimali pilulu. Neki su prijavili nuspojave poput pojave akni, smanjenog libida i glavobolja, ali ništa od navedenog nije smatrano pretjerano ozbiljnim.

Od pedesetih godina prošlog vijeka odgovornost za kontracepciju padala je gotovo isključivo na žene. Injekcije, tablete, flasteri, gelovi - sredstva su mnogobrojna, a internet je preplavljen informacijama o posljedicama i kontraindikacijama njihove upotrebe.

Na pomolu je revolucionarno otkriće u polju reproduktivnog zdravlja – trenutno se testira muška kontracepcijska pilula koja se uzima jednom dnevno i koja do sada nije imala nikakve negativne efekte tako da bi se relativno skoro mogla pojaviti na tržištu, piše dazeddigital.com.

Istraživanje tablete je uključivalo testiranje 40 muškaraca između 18 i 50 godina. Od ukupnog broja testiranih, deset ih je dobilo lažnu pilulu, radi očekivanog placebo efekta, dok je preostalih 30 dobilo pilulu sličnu ženskoj kontracepcijskoj piluli koja mijenja hormone i koja se uzima uz jelo tijekom 28 dana.

Lijek testnog naziva 11-beta-MNTDC koristi oblik progesterona koji blokira hormone zadužene za proizvodnju sperme, a sadrži i još jedan element sličan testosteronu koji balansira strukturu muških hormona.

Doktori koji su bili uključeni u istraživanje potvrdili su da je produkcija sperme pala kod onih muškaraca koji su svakodnevno uzimali pilulu. Neki su prijavili nuspojave poput pojave akni, smanjenog libida i glavobolja, ali ništa od navedenog nije smatrano pretjerano ozbiljnim.
