Ovo doba godine posebno je loše razdoblje za zdravlje jer vlada takozvana "trostruka epidemija". To znači da covid-19, gripa i respiratorni sincicijski virus (RSV) uzimaju maha. Osobito su slučajevi gripe naglo porasli diljem svijeta, piše Živim.

Prema podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ), u Hrvatskoj je ove sezone dosad zabilježeno 1759 slučajeva gripe, piše HRT . Nažalost, ova bolest može biti i smrtonosna.

Što znači da je izuzetno važno zaštititi sebe, ali i druge od prehlade, gripe, RSV-a ili covida. Najbolji način da to učinite vjerojatno zvuči poznato.

Dr. Bailey ističe kako je najvažniji oblik prevencije redovito cijepljenje protiv gripe i covida.

Na nedavnoj konferenciji za novinare, direktorica američkog Centra za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti dr. Rochelle Walensky rekla je da se ovogodišnje cjepivo protiv gripe jako dobro podudara sa sojevima virusa koji trenutno kruže diljem svijeta. Što znači da je to izuzetno precizna i ciljana zaštita koja može spriječiti da se zarazite ili da završite u bolnici. Svakako zapamtite da su potrebna dva tjedna prije nego što počne potpuna zaštita cjepiva, piše Živim.

Koristite toplu vodu i sapun za pranje

Perite sva područja prstiju i ruku do zgloba, najmanje 15 do 20 sekundi.

Obratite pozornost na područje ispod noktiju i operite prostor između svakog prsta.

Koristite sredstvo za dezinfekciju na bazi alkohola kada ne možete oprati ruke.

Nakon pranja pokušajte držati ruke dalje od usta i nosa.

Ranija istraživanja otkrila su različite vrste bakterija i virusa na telefonima. Uobičajeno je na njima pronaći bakterije koje žive na našoj koži, u respiratornom traktu kao i bakterije koje žive u fekalijama. I dok većinu čine bakterije od kojih se nećemo razboljeti, nisu sve u potpunosti bezopasne. Različite studije pokazale su da na mobitelima žive E. coli, MRSA i streptokok.

Proizvođači pametnih telefona na svojim internetskim stranicama nude upute i savjete za njihovo čišćenje. Savjetuju da se uređaj isključi prije početka čišćenja te da se pritom koristi mekana krpa od mikrovlakana. Ako je mobitel jako prljav savjetuju njegovo čišćenje uz pomoć mekane vlažne krpe na koju se stavilo i malo sapuna.

Isto tako, možete iskoristiti i dezinfekcijsko sredstvo kako biste se dodatno zaštitili.

S obzirom na to da smo se dosta izolirali posljednjih godina, ovo bi većini ljudi moglo teško pasti. Nažalost, ako želite održati svoje zdravlje, pokušajte poslušati savjet dr. Bailey i izbjegavati gužve kad god je to moguće, osobito ako su u slabo prozračenim, zatvorenim prostorima. Bolje je prepustiti se zabavama na otvorenom, kao što je klizanje, odlazak na tržnicu, šetnja po prirodi, što god vam odgovara.

Možda je vrijeme da ponovno kupite kutiju jednokratnih maski. Osim ako niste imunokompromitirani ili se brinete za nekoga s visokim rizikom od bolesti, možda nećete osjećati potrebu da uvijek nosite masku. Ovo doba godine posebno je loše razdoblje za zdravlje jer vlada takozvana "trostruka epidemija". To znači da covid-19, gripa i respiratorni sincicijski virus (RSV) uzimaju maha. Osobito su slučajevi gripe naglo porasli diljem svijeta, piše Živim.

Prema podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ), u Hrvatskoj je ove sezone dosad zabilježeno 1759 slučajeva gripe, piše HRT . Nažalost, ova bolest može biti i smrtonosna.

Što znači da je izuzetno važno zaštititi sebe, ali i druge od prehlade, gripe, RSV-a ili covida. Najbolji način da to učinite vjerojatno zvuči poznato.

- Mnoge navike koje smo usvojili tijekom pandemije covida služit će nam da nas zaštite od raznih bolesti tijekom nadolazećih mjeseci - kaže dr. med. Charles Bailey, infektolog medicinski direktor za prevenciju infekcija u Providence St. Joseph and Providence Mission Health, u Well+Good.

Možda nećete moći u potpunosti eliminirati rizik od prehlade, gripe ili drugih virusa, ali možete značajno smanjiti svoje šanse uz ove profesionalne savjete.

Cijepite se protiv gripe i COVID-a

Dr. Bailey ističe kako je najvažniji oblik prevencije redovito cijepljenje protiv gripe i covida.

Na nedavnoj konferenciji za novinare, direktorica američkog Centra za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti dr. Rochelle Walensky rekla je da se ovogodišnje cjepivo protiv gripe jako dobro podudara sa sojevima virusa koji trenutno kruže diljem svijeta. Što znači da je to izuzetno precizna i ciljana zaštita koja može spriječiti da se zarazite ili da završite u bolnici. Svakako zapamtite da su potrebna dva tjedna prije nego što počne potpuna zaštita cjepiva, piše Živim.

Redovito perite ruke

Ovo je navika koju trebate prakticirati tijekom cijele godine, ali osobito je važna u ovo doba. Naime, redovito pranje ruku je imperativ u prevenciji prehlade i gripe, ali i širenja klica. Međutim, morate znati da postoji ispravan i pogrešan način da to učinite. Evo kako prakticirati higijenu ruku poput medicinskog profesionalca:

Koristite toplu vodu i sapun za pranje

Perite sva područja prstiju i ruku do zgloba, najmanje 15 do 20 sekundi.

Obratite pozornost na područje ispod noktiju i operite prostor između svakog prsta.

Koristite sredstvo za dezinfekciju na bazi alkohola kada ne možete oprati ruke.

Nakon pranja pokušajte držati ruke dalje od usta i nosa.

Ranija istraživanja otkrila su različite vrste bakterija i virusa na telefonima. Uobičajeno je na njima pronaći bakterije koje žive na našoj koži, u respiratornom traktu kao i bakterije koje žive u fekalijama. I dok većinu čine bakterije od kojih se nećemo razboljeti, nisu sve u potpunosti bezopasne. Različite studije pokazale su da na mobitelima žive E. coli, MRSA i streptokok.

Proizvođači pametnih telefona na svojim internetskim stranicama nude upute i savjete za njihovo čišćenje. Savjetuju da se uređaj isključi prije početka čišćenja te da se pritom koristi mekana krpa od mikrovlakana. Ako je mobitel jako prljav savjetuju njegovo čišćenje uz pomoć mekane vlažne krpe na koju se stavilo i malo sapuna.

Isto tako, možete iskoristiti i dezinfekcijsko sredstvo kako biste se dodatno zaštitili.

Izbjegavajte gužve što je više moguće

S obzirom na to da smo se dosta izolirali posljednjih godina, ovo bi većini ljudi moglo teško pasti. Nažalost, ako želite održati svoje zdravlje, pokušajte poslušati savjet dr. Bailey i izbjegavati gužve kad god je to moguće, osobito ako su u slabo prozračenim, zatvorenim prostorima. Bolje je prepustiti se zabavama na otvorenom, kao što je klizanje, odlazak na tržnicu, šetnja po prirodi, što god vam odgovara.

Možda je vrijeme da ponovno kupite kutiju jednokratnih maski. Osim ako niste imunokompromitirani ili se brinete za nekoga s visokim rizikom od bolesti, možda nećete osjećati potrebu da uvijek nosite masku. Međutim, pokazalo se da ova jednostavna navika smanjuje prijenos virusa i pruža zaštitu onima s kojima dolazite u kontakt.

Razmislite o nošenju maske u džepu ili torbi kako biste ju imali pri ruci. Nikada ne znate kada ćete se naći u prenatrpanom autobusu ili u blizini nekoga tko ne može prestati kašljati.
