U lipnju je Škoda zaštitila nazive Superb, Octavia, Yeti i vRS u Američkom zavodu za patente. Samim tim, krenule su glasine da bi češki proizvođač mogao plasirati svoje proizvode preko „velike bare“.

Međutim, pet mjeseci kasnije, čini se da je došlo do potvrde da od toga nema ništa. Iako kompanija navodno još uvijek razmatra ideju popunjavanja rupa u Volkswagenovu portfoliju, jedan od visokih članova VW-ova odbora je sugerirao da Škoda neće biti prisutna u SAD-u.

Prema njemu, ulazak na tako veliko tržište s nepoznatom markom, čija je gama prilagođena europskom kupcu i bez postojeće dilerske mreže, bilo bi potpuno „poslovno samoubojstvo“. Dok Škoda vjerojatno neće ići u SAD, bar ne u dogledno vrijeme, češka marka planira lansiranje novih proizvoda u godinama koje dolaze.

Novi Polar će zamijeniti Yeti sljedeće godine, a nakon 2020. će Superb dobiti plug-in hibridnu i elektroverziju. Do 2025., pet modela s nultom emisijom trebaju se naći na cestama.

U lipnju je Škoda zaštitila nazive Superb, Octavia, Yeti i vRS u Američkom zavodu za patente. Samim tim, krenule su glasine da bi češki proizvođač mogao plasirati svoje proizvode preko „velike bare“.

Međutim, pet mjeseci kasnije, čini se da je došlo do potvrde da od toga nema ništa. Iako kompanija navodno još uvijek razmatra ideju popunjavanja rupa u Volkswagenovu portfoliju, jedan od visokih članova VW-ova odbora je sugerirao da Škoda neće biti prisutna u SAD-u.

Prema njemu, ulazak na tako veliko tržište s nepoznatom markom, čija je gama prilagođena europskom kupcu i bez postojeće dilerske mreže, bilo bi potpuno „poslovno samoubojstvo“. Dok Škoda vjerojatno neće ići u SAD, bar ne u dogledno vrijeme, češka marka planira lansiranje novih proizvoda u godinama koje dolaze.

Novi Polar će zamijeniti Yeti sljedeće godine, a nakon 2020. će Superb dobiti plug-in hibridnu i elektroverziju. Do 2025., pet modela s nultom emisijom trebaju se naći na cestama.
