Minulih desetljeća prostori šibenskoga šireg kraja, ali i oni nadomak gradu i u njemu, obilovali su značajnim istraživanjima prošlosti od predrimskoga i rimskoga doba kroz srednji vijek, sve do 19. stoljeća.

Neka od otkrića iz toga vremena spadaju u sam vrh takvih dostignuća europskih razmjera. Među takva otkrića su svakako Rider na Danilu, koji je intenzivno istraživao i šibenski arheolog Ivo Pedišić, rimske vile rustice na otoku Murteru i drugdje, te posebno otkriće velikog amfiteatra kod Ivoševaca uz gornju Krku, kraj ostataka naseobine Burnum iz doba rimskoga cara Vespazijana.

Istraživanja su započela pred kraj devedesetih godina, za što je zaslužna domaća znanost stručnjaka Muzeja grada Šibenika, arheologa iz Zadra, i na poseban način onih iz Muzeja drniške krajine na čelu s prof. Joškom Zaninovićem.

Kad su na zelenoj zaravni pod blagim kosinama kružnoga oblika započeli radovi i kad se zaključilo da se ondje krije veliki rimski objekt, vježbalište i borilište - arena, sumnjičavi su s podsmijehom tvrdili kako na tom mjestu, osim običnog zatrpanoga seoskoga guvna, ničega drugog nema.

Ali, pokazalo se ono što su naznačila i prva iskapanja. Otkriven je pravi amfiteatar iz 1. stoljeća uz brojne artefakte, s velikim kamenim ulomkom na kojem piše „Dux Vespasijanum“.

Radovi s trajali dvije godine, a svečano je otvoren 2011. kad su, s NP Krka kao nositeljem tog projekta, uprizorene i prve Rimske (kasnije burnumske) Ide, rimske poganske svečanosti koje su se održavale svake jeseni za puna mjeseca. Scenske prikaze u replikama odora i kostima iz rimskoga doba, nekoliko je godina režirao šibenski kazališni redatelj Sergej Mioč, koji je i sam glumio. Jednom je, 2012. nastupio u „ulozi“ Marcusa Culpiusa, što bi se moglo prevesti kao Grješni Markus.

Gledali smo rimske legije, borbe gladijatora, borilačke vještine, Amazonke uz zvukove harfe, pjesme nimfa, gutače vatre. I drugo. Bila je to jedinstvena kulturna i zabavna manifestacija što je privlačila velik broj gledatelja. Izvan arene pripravljala su se rimska jela i slastice, čarobno vino nazvano conditum paradoxum, tzv. globi kuglice, preteče naših fritula. Ali i - otrovi koje je „nudila“ atraktivna Velena (otrov). Kako li bi se drukčije i zvala. Pravi šareni kaleidoskop prizora i običaja od prije dva tisućljeća.

Zadnje su Ide održane 2019., a zbog poznatih razloga epidemije neće ih biti ni ove godine. Ipak, turisti i namjernici i sada obilaze taj atraktivni povijesni prostor, utonuo u ljetnu vrelinu i zvjezdane noći.

Minulih desetljeća prostori šibenskoga šireg kraja, ali i oni nadomak gradu i u njemu, obilovali su značajnim istraživanjima prošlosti od predrimskoga i rimskoga doba kroz srednji vijek, sve do 19. stoljeća.

Neka od otkrića iz toga vremena spadaju u sam vrh takvih dostignuća europskih razmjera. Među takva otkrića su svakako Rider na Danilu, koji je intenzivno istraživao i šibenski arheolog Ivo Pedišić, rimske vile rustice na otoku Murteru i drugdje, te posebno otkriće velikog amfiteatra kod Ivoševaca uz gornju Krku, kraj ostataka naseobine Burnum iz doba rimskoga cara Vespazijana.

Istraživanja su započela pred kraj devedesetih godina, za što je zaslužna domaća znanost stručnjaka Muzeja grada Šibenika, arheologa iz Zadra, i na poseban način onih iz Muzeja drniške krajine na čelu s prof. Joškom Zaninovićem.

Kad su na zelenoj zaravni pod blagim kosinama kružnoga oblika započeli radovi i kad se zaključilo da se ondje krije veliki rimski objekt, vježbalište i borilište - arena, sumnjičavi su s podsmijehom tvrdili kako na tom mjestu, osim običnog zatrpanoga seoskoga guvna, ničega drugog nema.

Ali, pokazalo se ono što su naznačila i prva iskapanja. Otkriven je pravi amfiteatar iz 1. stoljeća uz brojne artefakte, s velikim kamenim ulomkom na kojem piše „Dux Vespasijanum“.

Radovi s trajali dvije godine, a svečano je otvoren 2011. kad su, s NP Krka kao nositeljem tog projekta, uprizorene i prve Rimske (kasnije burnumske) Ide, rimske poganske svečanosti koje su se održavale svake jeseni za puna mjeseca. Scenske prikaze u replikama odora i kostima iz rimskoga doba, nekoliko je godina režirao šibenski kazališni redatelj Sergej Mioč, koji je i sam glumio. Jednom je, 2012. nastupio u „ulozi“ Marcusa Culpiusa, što bi se moglo prevesti kao Grješni Markus.

Gledali smo rimske legije, borbe gladijatora, borilačke vještine, Amazonke uz zvukove harfe, pjesme nimfa, gutače vatre. I drugo. Bila je to jedinstvena kulturna i zabavna manifestacija što je privlačila velik broj gledatelja. Izvan arene pripravljala su se rimska jela i slastice, čarobno vino nazvano conditum paradoxum, tzv. globi kuglice, preteče naših fritula. Ali i - otrovi koje je „nudila“ atraktivna Velena (otrov). Kako li bi se drukčije i zvala. Pravi šareni kaleidoskop prizora i običaja od prije dva tisućljeća.

Zadnje su Ide održane 2019., a zbog poznatih razloga epidemije neće ih biti ni ove godine. Ipak, turisti i namjernici i sada obilaze taj atraktivni povijesni prostor, utonuo u ljetnu vrelinu i zvjezdane noći.

Minulih desetljeća prostori šibenskoga šireg kraja, ali i oni nadomak gradu i u njemu, obilovali su značajnim istraživanjima prošlosti od predrimskoga i rimskoga doba kroz srednji vijek, sve do 19. stoljeća.

Neka od otkrića iz toga vremena spadaju u sam vrh takvih dostignuća europskih razmjera. Među takva otkrića su svakako Rider na Danilu, koji je intenzivno istraživao i šibenski arheolog Ivo Pedišić, rimske vile rustice na otoku Murteru i drugdje, te posebno otkriće velikog amfiteatra kod Ivoševaca uz gornju Krku, kraj ostataka naseobine Burnum iz doba rimskoga cara Vespazijana.

Istraživanja su započela pred kraj devedesetih godina, za što je zaslužna domaća znanost stručnjaka Muzeja grada Šibenika, arheologa iz Zadra, i na poseban način onih iz Muzeja drniške krajine na čelu s prof. Joškom Zaninovićem.

Kad su na zelenoj zaravni pod blagim kosinama kružnoga oblika započeli radovi i kad se zaključilo da se ondje krije veliki rimski objekt, vježbalište i borilište - arena, sumnjičavi su s podsmijehom tvrdili kako na tom mjestu, osim običnog zatrpanoga seoskoga guvna, ničega drugog nema.

Ali, pokazalo se ono što su naznačila i prva iskapanja. Otkriven je pravi amfiteatar iz 1. stoljeća uz brojne artefakte, s velikim kamenim ulomkom na kojem piše „Dux Vespasijanum“.

Radovi s trajali dvije godine, a svečano je otvoren 2011. kad su, s NP Krka kao nositeljem tog projekta, uprizorene i prve Rimske (kasnije burnumske) Ide, rimske poganske svečanosti koje su se održavale svake jeseni za puna mjeseca. Scenske prikaze u replikama odora i kostima iz rimskoga doba, nekoliko je godina režirao šibenski kazališni redatelj Sergej Mioč, koji je i sam glumio. Jednom je, 2012. nastupio u „ulozi“ Marcusa Culpiusa, što bi se moglo prevesti kao Grješni Markus.

Gledali smo rimske legije, borbe gladijatora, borilačke vještine, Amazonke uz zvukove harfe, pjesme nimfa, gutače vatre. I drugo. Bila je to jedinstvena kulturna i zabavna manifestacija što je privlačila velik broj gledatelja. Izvan arene pripravljala su se rimska jela i slastice, čarobno vino nazvano conditum paradoxum, tzv. globi kuglice, preteče naših fritula. Ali i - otrovi koje je „nudila“ atraktivna Velena (otrov). Kako li bi se drukčije i zvala. Pravi šareni kaleidoskop prizora i običaja od prije dva tisućljeća.

Zadnje su Ide održane 2019., a zbog poznatih razloga epidemije neće ih biti ni ove godine. Ipak, turisti i namjernici i sada obilaze taj atraktivni povijesni prostor, utonuo u ljetnu vrelinu i zvjezdane noći.
