Nekad jedan od najjeftinijih i najomraženijih američkih automobila, Yugo počinje postajati kolekcionarski automobil. Vlasnici najpoznatijeg Jugoslavenskog izvoznog automobila razgovarali su s The New York Timesom, a iskustva su začuđujuće pozitivna!
'Pronaći ćete ljude kojima se Yugo sviđa zbog njegove opskurnosti, samo zbog posjedovanja nevoljenog', izjavila je Valerie Hansen, koja obnavlja model iz 1984. godine uvezen u SAD prije nego što je prodaja započela. Neki od razloga zašto su ga neki vlasnici zavoljeli je što se može popraviti 'nožem za maslac i gumicom', a to je dobro, jer Yugo treba 'redovitu mehaničku pažnju'.

Međutim, činjenica koja se često zaboravlja je da je Zastava dobro poslovala u svojoj zemlji. Proizvedeno je gotovo 800.000 primjeraka Yuga, a u ponudi je bilo više od 10 različitih izvedbi. Uz to, maleni hatchback je nadživio Jugoslaviju, ostavši na proizvodnoj traci sve do 2008. godine. U zemljama nastalim raspadom države, Yugo je još uvijek uobičajen prizor.

Jasno je kako nije bio automobil vrhunske kvalitete, no nikad nije ni ciljao na premium segment. U Americi nije uspio jer nikada nije bio dizajniran za 12-satno putovanje kroz teksaške pustinje, isto kao ni originalni Mini koji se iz istog razloga kratko prodavao u SAD-u.
Ponosni vozači koji su svoja iskustva podijelili s The New York Timesom jednoglasno su se složili da Yugo nikad nije bio toliko loš, koliko je imao lošu reputaciju. U posljednje vrijeme, vrijednost mu je u SAD-u počela rasti. Prošle godine je jedan primjerak iz 1988. godine prodan na aukcijskoj platformi Cars & Bids za 6100 američkih dolara (37.700 kuna).

Nekad jedan od najjeftinijih i najomraženijih američkih automobila, Yugo počinje postajati kolekcionarski automobil. Vlasnici najpoznatijeg Jugoslavenskog izvoznog automobila razgovarali su s The New York Timesom, a iskustva su začuđujuće pozitivna!
'Pronaći ćete ljude kojima se Yugo sviđa zbog njegove opskurnosti, samo zbog posjedovanja nevoljenog', izjavila je Valerie Hansen, koja obnavlja model iz 1984. godine uvezen u SAD prije nego što je prodaja započela. Neki od razloga zašto su ga neki vlasnici zavoljeli je što se može popraviti 'nožem za maslac i gumicom', a to je dobro, jer Yugo treba 'redovitu mehaničku pažnju'.

Međutim, činjenica koja se često zaboravlja je da je Zastava dobro poslovala u svojoj zemlji. Proizvedeno je gotovo 800.000 primjeraka Yuga, a u ponudi je bilo više od 10 različitih izvedbi. Uz to, maleni hatchback je nadživio Jugoslaviju, ostavši na proizvodnoj traci sve do 2008. godine. U zemljama nastalim raspadom države, Yugo je još uvijek uobičajen prizor.

Jasno je kako nije bio automobil vrhunske kvalitete, no nikad nije ni ciljao na premium segment. U Americi nije uspio jer nikada nije bio dizajniran za 12-satno putovanje kroz teksaške pustinje, isto kao ni originalni Mini koji se iz istog razloga kratko prodavao u SAD-u.
