Bivši suigrač i dugogodišnji prijatelj Damira Šolmana, Željko Jerkov, potresen je odlaskom legende ‘žutih‘...

- Damir je bio baš dobar čovjek i veći Dalmatinac od svih nas. Volio je igrati tenis i svako jutro je pio kavu, volio je more, imao je brod, lovio je ribu, pio vino... Imao sam sreću da su me u reprezentaciji i klubu dočekali Damir i Rato, kao klinac sam imao njihovu ‘zaštitu‘ što je neprocjenjivo u razvoju igrača.

Bio je pravi šuter, elegantan igrač, figurao je baš u svakom detalju. Dobili smo kao Jugoplastika epitet da igramo lijepu košarku s juga. To je dobrim dijelom bilo baš zbog njega. On je jedan od onih koji je pečatirao brand Jugoplastike. Zvali smo ga ‘Niklovani‘, taj nadimak dao mu je Duje Krstulović jer je kod njega sve bilo besprijekorno, uvijek je bio elegantno odjeven, obrijan, namirisan, gospodin.

Onaj koš koji je zabio u zadnjoj sekundi majstorice prvenstva za pobjedu protiv Bosne je nešto što je postalo temelj ovog kluba. Može se reći da je to najveći trenutak njegove karijere, to ostaje u kolektivnoj memoriji, ali ukupno nam je kao klubu jako puno donio, u njegovom razvoju. To je njegovo najveće životno djelo.

Bivši suigrač i dugogodišnji prijatelj Damira Šolmana, Željko Jerkov, potresen je odlaskom legende ‘žutih‘...

- Damir je bio baš dobar čovjek i veći Dalmatinac od svih nas. Volio je igrati tenis i svako jutro je pio kavu, volio je more, imao je brod, lovio je ribu, pio vino... Imao sam sreću da su me u reprezentaciji i klubu dočekali Damir i Rato, kao klinac sam imao njihovu ‘zaštitu‘ što je neprocjenjivo u razvoju igrača.

Bio je pravi šuter, elegantan igrač, figurao je baš u svakom detalju. Dobili smo kao Jugoplastika epitet da igramo lijepu košarku s juga. To je dobrim dijelom bilo baš zbog njega. On je jedan od onih koji je pečatirao brand Jugoplastike. Zvali smo ga ‘Niklovani‘, taj nadimak dao mu je Duje Krstulović jer je kod njega sve bilo besprijekorno, uvijek je bio elegantno odjeven, obrijan, namirisan, gospodin.

Onaj koš koji je zabio u zadnjoj sekundi majstorice prvenstva za pobjedu protiv Bosne je nešto što je postalo temelj ovog kluba. Može se reći da je to najveći trenutak njegove karijere, to ostaje u kolektivnoj memoriji, ali ukupno nam je kao klubu jako puno donio, u njegovom razvoju. To je njegovo najveće životno djelo.

Bivši suigrač i dugogodišnji prijatelj Damira Šolmana, Željko Jerkov, potresen je odlaskom legende ‘žutih‘...

- Damir je bio baš dobar čovjek i veći Dalmatinac od svih nas. Volio je igrati tenis i svako jutro je pio kavu, volio je more, imao je brod, lovio je ribu, pio vino... Imao sam sreću da su me u reprezentaciji i klubu dočekali Damir i Rato, kao klinac sam imao njihovu ‘zaštitu‘ što je neprocjenjivo u razvoju igrača.

Bio je pravi šuter, elegantan igrač, figurao je baš u svakom detalju. Dobili smo kao Jugoplastika epitet da igramo lijepu košarku s juga. To je dobrim dijelom bilo baš zbog njega. On je jedan od onih koji je pečatirao brand Jugoplastike. Zvali smo ga ‘Niklovani‘, taj nadimak dao mu je Duje Krstulović jer je kod njega sve bilo besprijekorno, uvijek ...
