Košarkaši Splita su teškom mukom, ali posve zasluženo slavili 80:76 kod Krke u Novom Mestu i probili se na osmo mjesto Admiral Bet ABA lige. Ta pozicija vodi u play off regionalnog natjecanja, ali ‘žuti‘ će je morati zadržati u preostala tri kola regularnog dijela lige.

- Trebali smo susret jednostavnije dobiti, pogotovo odigrati tih zadnjih pet minuta kada smo ušli u određenu nervozu s otvorenim promašenim šutevima i glupom greškom Sullivana koji je napravio nesportsku osobnu pogrešku u napadu. To je promijenilo momentum. No, kvalitetniji smo i uspjeli smo doći do pobjede unatoč zahtjevnoj utakmici koju smo odigrali 48 sati ranije u Zaboku – rekao je trener Splita Slaven Rimac nakon susreta.

Nije izgledalo kako će se Split boriti za play off nakon ulaska u sezonu sa skorom 1-7?

- Ne gledam to tako. Iskreno, mislim da igramo lošije nego što stvarno vrijedimo i možemo. Neke stvari još nisu onakve kako bih ja htio da budu. Bitno je da se pobjeđuje, a mi moramo dići razinu svojih igara. Moramo biti pravi, napraviti svoj posao, dati sve od sebe, a onda te možda nagradi, onda ćemo biti zadovoljni što god da se dogodi, izborili play off regionalne lige ili ne, osvojili hrvatsko prvenstvo ili ne – naglasio je Rimac.

- Čestitam na pobjedi u gostima. Ovdje je uvijek teško igrati. Ušli smo malo labavo u utakmicu. Promašili smo pet-šest zicera, ušli smo u kontra ritam. Cijelu utakmicu smo tražili svoju igru. Na kraju smo mislili da smo prelomili utakmicu, pa smo im opet dopustili da se vrate. Bespotrebno sebi otežavamo život. Znali smo takve utakmice i gubiti – rekao je kapetan Splita Mate Kalajžić koji je skočio u napadu i zabio ključan koš za 74:70. Ukupno je zabio 14 poena, ali i unatoč tome što je playmaker, predvodio svoju momčad s čak sedam skokova.

- Trener mi je dao priliku, dao sam sve od sebe – skromno će Kalajžić.

Da sada liga završi, Split bi bio u play offu?

- Ganjamo play off. To se možda od nas nije ni očekivalo, ali želimo to – kazao je kapetan ‘žutih‘.

U petak na Gripe u idućem kolu regionalne lige stiže Cibona?

- U takvom smo ritmu utakmica da iskreno ne znamo tko nam glavu nosi! Eto, sada si mi ti rekao da igramo s Cibonom (glasnogovorniku Splita, nap.a.). Pozivam sve navijače da nas dođu podržati. Ponovno smo u dobrom ritmu, dobro bi nam došla pomoć s tribina – poželio je Kalajžić.

Košarkaši Splita su teškom mukom, ali posve zasluženo slavili 80:76 kod Krke u Novom Mestu i probili se na osmo mjesto Admiral Bet ABA lige. Ta pozicija vodi u play off regionalnog natjecanja, ali ‘žuti‘ će je morati zadržati u preostala tri kola regularnog dijela lige.

- Trebali smo susret jednostavnije dobiti, pogotovo odigrati tih zadnjih pet minuta kada smo ušli u određenu nervozu s otvorenim promašenim šutevima i glupom greškom Sullivana koji je napravio nesportsku osobnu pogrešku u napadu. To je promijenilo momentum. No, kvalitetniji smo i uspjeli smo doći do pobjede unatoč zahtjevnoj utakmici koju smo odigrali 48 sati ranije u Zaboku – rekao je trener Splita Slaven Rimac nakon susreta.

Nije izgledalo kako će se Split boriti za play off nakon ulaska u sezonu sa skorom 1-7?

- Ne gledam to tako. Iskreno, mislim da igramo lošije nego što stvarno vrijedimo i možemo. Neke stvari još nisu onakve kako bih ja htio da budu. Bitno je da se pobjeđuje, a mi moramo dići razinu svojih igara. Moramo biti pravi, napraviti svoj posao, dati sve od sebe, a onda te možda nagradi, onda ćemo biti zadovoljni što god da se dogodi, izborili play off regionalne lige ili ne, osvojili hrvatsko prvenstvo ili ne – naglasio je Rimac.

- Čestitam na pobjedi u gostima. Ovdje je uvijek teško igrati. Ušli smo malo labavo u utakmicu. Promašili smo pet-šest zicera, ušli smo u kontra ritam. Cijelu utakmicu smo tražili svoju igru. Na kraju smo mislili da smo prelomili utakmicu, pa smo im opet dopustili da se vrate. Bespotrebno sebi otežavamo život. Znali smo takve utakmice i gubiti – rekao je kapetan Splita Mate Kalajžić koji je skočio u napadu i zabio ključan koš za 74:70. Ukupno je zabio 14 poena, ali i unatoč tome što je playmaker, predvodio svoju momčad s čak sedam skokova.

- Trener mi je dao priliku, dao sam sve od sebe – skromno će Kalajžić.

Da sada liga završi, Split bi bio u play offu?

- Ganjamo play off. To se možda od nas nije ni očekivalo, ali želimo to – kazao je kapetan ‘žutih‘.

U petak na Gripe u idućem kolu regionalne lige stiže Cibona?

- U takvom smo ritmu utakmica da iskreno ne znamo tko nam glavu nosi! Eto, sada si mi ti rekao da igramo s Cibonom (glasnogovorniku Splita, nap.a.). Pozivam sve navijače da nas dođu podržati. Ponovno smo u dobrom ritmu, dobro bi nam došla pomoć s tribina – poželio je Kalajžić.
