Zvijezda NBA momčadi Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving kupio je kuću obitelji Georgea Floyda, Afroamerikanca koji je umro od gušenja za vrijeme uhićenja u svibnju prošle godine u Minneapolisu, izjavio je bivši košarkaš Stephen Jackson.

Govoreći u podcastu "The Rematch", Jackson, koji je osvojio šampionski NBA prsten sa San Antonio Spursima 2003., kazao je kako i sada, osam mjeseci nakon njegove smrti, nastavlja voditi brigu o Floydovoj obitelji, a Floyda naziva "bratom".

"Ta je obitelj primila puno ljubavi. Ne samo od nas nego od cijelog svijeta. Mnogi od mojih prijatelja su također pomogli. Kyrie Irving im je kupio kuću, reper i producent Lil Wayne im je kupio Mercedes, a pjevačica Barbara Streisand im je ponudila svoje dionice Disneya", dodao je.

Prema ESPN-u, Irving je obitelji Georgea Floyda dao novac potreban za kupnju kuće prije pet-šest mjeseci.

George Floyd (46) je 25. svibnja 2020. umro prilikom uhićenja nakon što je policajac Derek Chauvin više od osam minuta koljenom pritiskao njegov vrat.

Taj je incident kojeg je snimio slučajni prolaznik izazvao val reakcija u SAD-u i izvan američkih granica te prosvjede milijuna koji su tražili reformu policije i zaustavljanje rasnog nasilja.

Brojne NBA zvijezde, kao i drugi sportaši, izražavali su bijes zbog incidenta, a Irving se čak protivio nastavku sezone prekinute zbog pandemije koronavirusa, tvrdeći kako je vrijeme za borbu protiv rasne nejednakosti, a ne za košarku. 

Ove sezone Irving je propustio sedam zadnjih utakmica Brooklyna zbog "osobnih razloga" kojima je pridodana i karantena zbog kršenja anti-Covid pravila jer je sudjelovao na sestrinoj rođendanskoj proslavi.

Zvijezda NBA momčadi Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving kupio je kuću obitelji Georgea Floyda, Afroamerikanca koji je umro od gušenja za vrijeme uhićenja u svibnju prošle godine u Minneapolisu, izjavio je bivši košarkaš Stephen Jackson.

Govoreći u podcastu "The Rematch", Jackson, koji je osvojio šampionski NBA prsten sa San Antonio Spursima 2003., kazao je kako i sada, osam mjeseci nakon njegove smrti, nastavlja voditi brigu o Floydovoj obitelji, a Floyda naziva "bratom".

"Ta je obitelj primila puno ljubavi. Ne samo od nas nego od cijelog svijeta. Mnogi od mojih prijatelja su također pomogli. Kyrie Irving im je kupio kuću, reper i producent Lil Wayne im je kupio Mercedes, a pjevačica Barbara Streisand im je ponudila svoje dionice Disneya", dodao je.

Prema ESPN-u, Irving je obitelji Georgea Floyda dao novac potreban za kupnju kuće prije pet-šest mjeseci.

George Floyd (46) je 25. svibnja 2020. umro prilikom uhićenja nakon što je policajac Derek Chauvin više od osam minuta koljenom pritiskao njegov vrat.

Taj je incident kojeg je snimio slučajni prolaznik izazvao val reakcija u SAD-u i izvan američkih granica te prosvjede milijuna koji su tražili reformu policije i zaustavljanje rasnog nasilja.

Brojne NBA zvijezde, kao i drugi sportaši, izražavali su bijes zbog incidenta, a Irving se čak protivio nastavku sezone prekinute zbog pandemije koronavirusa, tvrdeći kako je vrijeme za borbu protiv rasne nejednakosti, a ne za košarku. 

Ove sezone Irving je propustio sedam zadnjih utakmica Brooklyna zbog "osobnih razloga" kojima je pridodana i karantena zbog kršenja anti-Covid pravila jer je sudjelovao na sestrinoj rođendanskoj proslavi.

Zvijezda NBA momčadi Brooklyn Netsa Kyrie Irving kupio je kuću obitelji Georgea Floyda, Afroamerikanca koji je umro od gušenja za vrijeme uhićenja u svibnju prošle godine u Minneapolisu, izjavio je bivši košarkaš Stephen Jackson.

Govoreći u podcastu "The Rematch", Jackson, koji je osvojio šampionski NBA prsten sa San Antonio Spursima 2003., kazao je kako i sada, osam mjeseci nakon njegove smrti, nastavlja voditi brigu o Floydovoj obitelji, a Floyda naziva "bratom".

"Ta je obitelj primila puno ljubavi. Ne samo od nas nego od cijelog svijeta. Mnogi od mojih prijatelja su također pomogli. Kyrie Irving im je kupio kuću, reper i producent Lil Wayne im je kupio Mercedes, a pjevačica Barbara Streisand im je ponudila svoje dionice Disneya", dodao je.
