Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach isključio je održavanje olimpijskih igara 2021. u Tokiju bez gledatelja.

Olimpijske Igre su odgođene za 12 mjeseci zbog pandemije koronavirusa, no još uvijek postoji velika neizvjesnost kako će sve izgledati iduće godine. Hoće li uopće biti moguće održati OI bez cjepiva.

Mnogi su se sportovi na profesionalnoj razini nastavili iza zatvorenih vrata i bez gledatelja kako bi se izbjegla masovna okupljanja koja mogu dovesti do povećanog prenošenja virusa. No, čini se kako je predsjednik MOO-a isključio OI bez gledatelja.

Upitan je li to opcija za Tokio 2020., Bach je rekao:

- Naše planiranje uključuje sve moguće mjere, ali ne i olimpijske igre iza zatvorenih vrata. To je nešto što ne želimo.

- Radimo na rješenju koje s jedne strane čuva zdravlje svih sudionika, a s druge strane odražava i olimpijski duh - dodao je.

Nedavna anketa je pokazala da više od 50 posto stanovnika Tokija ne misli da bi se OI trebale održati sljedeće godine.

Anketa koju su provele dvije japanske novinske organizacije došla je nakon što su zdravstveni stručnjaci upozorili da čak i jednogodišnja odgoda možda ne bude dostatna da bi se igre održale sigurno.

Tokio 2020 odgođen je u ožujku, dok se koronavirus širio svijetom. Igre su pomaknute na 23. srpanj 2021. godine. Međutim, vlasti u Japanu i Međunarodni olimpijski odbor upozorili su da neće biti moguće igre ponovno odgoditi te da je i odgoda od jedne godine stvorila značajne financijske i logističke troškove.

Bach je odbacio mogućnost da se OI u Tokiju prebace u novi olimpijski ciklus, kao što su Olimpijske igre mladih 2022. u Dakaru prebačene na 2026.

- To je potpuno drugačije i ne može se ni na koji način usporediti. Mi ostajemo potpuno opredijeljeni u nastojanju da se OI održe sljedeće godine u srpnju i kolovozu - istaknuo je Bach.

MOO je najavio dodatnih 150 milijuna američkih dolara financijske pomoći nacionalnim olimpijskim odborima koji su teško pogođeni odgađanjem Igara i bit će isplaćeni do kraja godine.

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach isključio je održavanje olimpijskih igara 2021. u Tokiju bez gledatelja.

Olimpijske Igre su odgođene za 12 mjeseci zbog pandemije koronavirusa, no još uvijek postoji velika neizvjesnost kako će sve izgledati iduće godine. Hoće li uopće biti moguće održati OI bez cjepiva.

Mnogi su se sportovi na profesionalnoj razini nastavili iza zatvorenih vrata i bez gledatelja kako bi se izbjegla masovna okupljanja koja mogu dovesti do povećanog prenošenja virusa. No, čini se kako je predsjednik MOO-a isključio OI bez gledatelja.

Upitan je li to opcija za Tokio 2020., Bach je rekao:

- Naše planiranje uključuje sve moguće mjere, ali ne i olimpijske igre iza zatvorenih vrata. To je nešto što ne želimo.

- Radimo na rješenju koje s jedne strane čuva zdravlje svih sudionika, a s druge strane odražava i olimpijski duh - dodao je.

Nedavna anketa je pokazala da više od 50 posto stanovnika Tokija ne misli da bi se OI trebale održati sljedeće godine.

Anketa koju su provele dvije japanske novinske organizacije došla je nakon što su zdravstveni stručnjaci upozorili da čak i jednogodišnja odgoda možda ne bude dostatna da bi se igre održale sigurno.

Tokio 2020 odgođen je u ožujku, dok se koronavirus širio svijetom. Igre su pomaknute na 23. srpanj 2021. godine. Međutim, vlasti u Japanu i Međunarodni olimpijski odbor upozorili su da neće biti moguće igre ponovno odgoditi te da je i odgoda od jedne godine stvorila značajne financijske i logističke troškove.

Bach je odbacio mogućnost da se OI u Tokiju prebace u novi olimpijski ciklus, kao što su Olimpijske igre mladih 2022. u Dakaru prebačene na 2026.

- To je potpuno drugačije i ne može se ni na koji način usporediti. Mi ostajemo potpuno opredijeljeni u nastojanju da se OI održe sljedeće godine u srpnju i kolovozu - istaknuo je Bach.

MOO je najavio dodatnih 150 milijuna američkih dolara financijske pomoći nacionalnim olimpijskim odborima koji su teško pogođeni odgađanjem Igara i bit će isplaćeni do kraja godine.

Bach isključuje Olimpijske igre bez gledatelja: Radimo na rješenju koje čuva zdravlje svih sudionika

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach isključio je održavanje olimpijskih igara 2021. u Tokiju bez gledatelja.

Olimpijske Igre su odgođene za 12 mjeseci zbog pandemije koronavirusa, no još uvijek postoji velika neizvjesnost kako će sve izgledati iduće godine. Hoće li uopće biti moguće održati OI bez cjepiva.

Mnogi su se sportovi na profesionalnoj razini nastavili iza zatvorenih vrata i bez gledatelja kako bi se izbjegla masovna okupljanja koja mogu dovesti do povećanog prenošenja virusa. No, čini se kako je predsjednik MOO-a isključio OI bez gledatelja.

Upitan je li to opcija za Tokio 2020., Bach je rekao:

- Naše planiranje uključuje sve moguće mjere, ali ne i olimpijske igre iza zatvorenih vrata. To je nešto što ne želimo.
