Bivša biciklistička zvijezda Lance Armstrong koji je doživotno suspendiran zbog dopinga priznao je u novom dokumentarcu objavljenom na američkoj televizijskoj postaji ESPN kako je zabranjene tvari počeo uzimati već sa 21 godinom, kako smatra da EPO nije loš i kako vjeruje da je rak kojeg je prebolio povezan vjerojatno s hormonima rasta.
Na početku filma je iznio riječi koje zvuče kao obećanje "Neću vas lagati, reći ću vam svoju istinu". Sedam godina nakon što je u razgovoru s Oprah Winfrey priznao da se dopingirao, Lance Armstrong se još jednom otvorio i to u dokumentarcu "Lance".
Film u trajanju od tri sata i 20 minuta, a čiji je prvi dio prikazan u nedjelju navečer na ESPN-u, koji još uvijek uživa veliki uspjeh zbog dokumentarca "Zadnji ples" o Michaelu Jordanu. I on je u filmu iznio svoju istinu koju posljednjih nekoliko dana osporavaju njegovi bvši suigrači i drugi akteri iz vremena kada je igrao.
Za sada, serija interviewa koje je 2018. i 2019. vodila Marina Zenovich, nije izazvala nikakve reakcije u svijetu biciklizma.
U ovom filmu se doznaje da je američki biciklist počeo uzimati doping 1992., a ne 1996. kako je rekao u razgovoru s Oprah Winfrey. "Imao sam vjerojatno 21 godinu, to je bilo u mojoj prvoj profesionalnoj sezoni", rekao je Armstrong u filmu.
"Jesmo li primali injekcije s vitaminima i drugim prepratima? Da, ali to nije bilo ilegalno. I uvijek sam pitao što mi daju. Uvijek sam znao što je u injekcijama i uvijek sam ja bio taj koji je donosio odluku", dodao je.
"Nitko mi nije rekao 'Ne postavljaj pitanja, samo to uzmi'. Nikada to ne bih prihvatio. Informirao sam se, to je bilo to što sam ja poduzeo", inzistirao je sada 48-godišnji američki biciklist koji je sedam godina zaredom pobjeđivao na Tour de Franceu od 1999. do 2005.
Ti su mu naslovi oduzeti 2012. kada je doživotno suspendiran nakon istrage Američke antidopinške agencije (USADA).
Armstrong je konzumirao i kortizon i to 1993. kada je postao svjetski prvak u Oslu. To je jedan od rijetkih naslova koji mu nije oduzet.
Armostrong je svoju biciklističku karijeru morao prekinuti i 1996. kada mu je dijagnosticiran rak testisa. Sada nakon svega i nakon što je kazao da mu je borba protiv karcinoma bila kao natjecanje u kojem je odlučio pobijediti, Armstrong ne isključuje mogućnost da je ta bolest povezana s uzimanjem dopinga.
"Nemam odgovora na to. Ali ne bih rekao ne. Ono što mogu reći je da sam jedini put u karijeri uzeo hormon rasta 1996. Dakle, u jednom dijeliću svog mozga postavljam si pitanje je li to bi uzrok", dodao je.
Godinu prije toga Armstrong je odlučio početi koristiti usluge doktora Michelea Ferrarija. "Radio sam sve što mi je rekao, slijepo sam mu vjerovao. Sve što mi je trebalo bila su crvena krvna tjelešca."
Govoreči o EPO-u, osramoćeni bivši prvak kaže: "To što ću vam reći neće biti popularno, ali, to je siguran proizvod. Dok god ga uzimate oprezno, u ograničenim količinama, pod liječničkim nadzorom. Postoje mnogo opasnije tvari koje ubrizgavate u svoje tijelo".
Prisjetio se i svog djetinjstva obilježenog odsustvom oca i nasiljem očuha koji ga je tukao i "zbog otvorene ladice".
"Lance ne bi bio prvak bez mene jer sam se prema njemu odnosio kao prema životinji", ocijenio je pak Terry Armstrong, izražavajući ipak žaljenje što je od njega napravio osobu koja mora postati pobjednik pod svaku cijenu.
I na kraju, Armstrong je ispričao kao je sa 15 godina prvi put prekršio pravila koristeći se lažnom potvrdom o rođenju kako bi se prijavio za triatlon. "Trebalo je imati 16 godina. Falsificirati potvrdu, sudjelovati ilegalno i pobijediti sve".

Bivša biciklistička zvijezda Lance Armstrong koji je doživotno suspendiran zbog dopinga priznao je u novom dokumentarcu objavljenom na američkoj televizijskoj postaji ESPN kako je zabranjene tvari počeo uzimati već sa 21 godinom, kako smatra da EPO nije loš i kako vjeruje da je rak kojeg je prebolio povezan vjerojatno s hormonima rasta.
Na početku filma je iznio riječi koje zvuče kao obećanje "Neću vas lagati, reći ću vam svoju istinu". Sedam godina nakon što je u razgovoru s Oprah Winfrey priznao da se dopingirao, Lance Armstrong se još jednom otvorio i to u dokumentarcu "Lance".
Film u trajanju od tri sata i 20 minuta, a čiji je prvi dio prikazan u nedjelju navečer na ESPN-u, koji još uvijek uživa veliki uspjeh zbog dokumentarca "Zadnji ples" o Michaelu Jordanu. I on je u filmu iznio svoju istinu koju posljednjih nekoliko dana osporavaju njegovi bvši suigrači i drugi akteri iz vremena kada je igrao.
Za sada, serija interviewa koje je 2018. i 2019. vodila Marina Zenovich, nije izazvala nikakve reakcije u svijetu biciklizma.
U ovom filmu se doznaje da je američki biciklist počeo uzimati doping 1992., a ne 1996. kako je rekao u razgovoru s Oprah Winfrey. "Imao sam vjerojatno 21 godinu, to je bilo u mojoj prvoj profesionalnoj sezoni", rekao je Armstrong u filmu.
"Jesmo li primali injekcije s vitaminima i drugim prepratima? Da, ali to nije bilo ilegalno. I uvijek sam pitao što mi daju. Uvijek sam znao što je u injekcijama i uvijek sam ja bio taj koji je donosio odluku", dodao je.
"Nitko mi nije rekao 'Ne postavljaj pitanja, samo to uzmi'. Nikada to ne bih prihvatio. Informirao sam se, to je bilo to što sam ja poduzeo", inzistirao je sada 48-godišnji američki biciklist koji je sedam godina zaredom pobjeđivao na Tour de Franceu od 1999. do 2005.
Ti su mu naslovi oduzeti 2012. kada je doživotno suspendiran nakon istrage Američke antidopinške agencije (USADA).
Armstrong je konzumirao i kortizon i to 1993. kada je postao svjetski prvak u Oslu. To je jedan od rijetkih naslova koji mu nije oduzet.
Armostrong je svoju biciklističku karijeru morao prekinuti i 1996. kada mu je dijagnosticiran rak testisa. Sada nakon svega i nakon što je kazao da mu je borba protiv karcinoma bila kao natjecanje u kojem je odlučio pobijediti, Armstrong ne isključuje mogućnost da je ta bolest povezana s uzimanjem dopinga.
"Nemam odgovora na to. Ali ne bih rekao ne. Ono što mogu reći je da sam jedini put u karijeri uzeo hormon rasta 1996. Dakle, u jednom dijeliću svog mozga postavljam si pitanje je li to bi uzrok", dodao je.
Godinu prije toga Armstrong je odlučio početi koristiti usluge doktora Michelea Ferrarija. "Radio sam sve što mi je rekao, slijepo sam mu vjerovao. Sve što mi je trebalo bila su crvena krvna tjelešca."
Govoreči o EPO-u, osramoćeni bivši prvak kaže: "To što ću vam reći neće biti popularno, ali, to je siguran proizvod. Dok god ga uzimate oprezno, u ograničenim količinama, pod liječničkim nadzorom. Postoje mnogo opasnije tvari koje ubrizgavate u svoje tijelo".
Prisjetio se i svog djetinjstva obilježenog odsustvom oca i nasiljem očuha koji ga je tukao i "zbog otvorene ladice".
"Lance ne bi bio prvak bez mene jer sam se prema njemu odnosio kao prema životinji", ocijenio je pak Terry Armstrong, izražavajući ipak žaljenje što je od njega napravio osobu koja mora postati pobjednik pod svaku cijenu.
