Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach dobitnik je ovogodišnje Nagrade za mir koju od 1990. dodjeljuje Seoul Peace Prize Cultural fondacija.

Bach je prestižnu nagradu dobio zbog njegovih napora za zajedničkim nastupom Sjeverne i Južne Koreje na Olimpijskim igrama u Pyeongchangu 2018. i zbog promjena u olimpijskom pokretu pod njegovim vodstvom.

- "Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach čovjek je koji nosi misiju olimpijskog duha, on je primjer koji istinski živi ono što podučava. Predsjednik Bach promovirao je prijateljstvo i sklad širom svijeta. Bavljenjem sportom uvelike je pridonio rješavanju sukoba i podjela u mnogim regijama. Time se pokazao kao veliki olimpijski prvak koji se posvetio miru - istaknuo je predsjednik fondacije Yeom Jae-ho.

Uz to, naglasio je i Bachovu potporu izbjeglicama sportašima, a uspostavljanjem olimpijskog tima sportaša izbjeglica, skrenuo je pozornost i na ovo aktualno pitanje na globalnoj razini.

Zbog pandemije i strogih zdravstvenih mjera, Bach nije prisustvovao ceremoniji u Seulu, već putem video konferencije, a a nagradu je u njegovo ime primio jedan od najutjecajnijih Korejaca, bivši glavni tajnik UN-a Ban Ki-moon.

- Svrha Olimpijskih igara uvijek je bila naglašavanje mira kroz sport. Kada je Pierre de Coubertin osnovao MOO 1894. godine, bio je u pratnji šest budućih dobitnika Nobelove nagrade za mir. Kao i druge mirovne inicijative, ponekad i ne uspijemo. Svjesni smo "da sport sam ne može stvoriti mir, odluke o ratovima i miru su u rukama politike. A sport može biti inspiracija za rješavanje problema na prijateljski način - rekao je Bach u zahvalnom govoru.

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach dobitnik je ovogodišnje Nagrade za mir koju od 1990. dodjeljuje Seoul Peace Prize Cultural fondacija.

Bach je prestižnu nagradu dobio zbog njegovih napora za zajedničkim nastupom Sjeverne i Južne Koreje na Olimpijskim igrama u Pyeongchangu 2018. i zbog promjena u olimpijskom pokretu pod njegovim vodstvom.

- "Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach čovjek je koji nosi misiju olimpijskog duha, on je primjer koji istinski živi ono što podučava. Predsjednik Bach promovirao je prijateljstvo i sklad širom svijeta. Bavljenjem sportom uvelike je pridonio rješavanju sukoba i podjela u mnogim regijama. Time se pokazao kao veliki olimpijski prvak koji se posvetio miru - istaknuo je predsjednik fondacije Yeom Jae-ho.

Uz to, naglasio je i Bachovu potporu izbjeglicama sportašima, a uspostavljanjem olimpijskog tima sportaša izbjeglica, skrenuo je pozornost i na ovo aktualno pitanje na globalnoj razini.

Zbog pandemije i strogih zdravstvenih mjera, Bach nije prisustvovao ceremoniji u Seulu, već putem video konferencije, a a nagradu je u njegovo ime primio jedan od najutjecajnijih Korejaca, bivši glavni tajnik UN-a Ban Ki-moon.

- Svrha Olimpijskih igara uvijek je bila naglašavanje mira kroz sport. Kada je Pierre de Coubertin osnovao MOO 1894. godine, bio je u pratnji šest budućih dobitnika Nobelove nagrade za mir. Kao i druge mirovne inicijative, ponekad i ne uspijemo. Svjesni smo "da sport sam ne može stvoriti mir, odluke o ratovima i miru su u rukama politike. A sport može biti inspiracija za rješavanje problema na prijateljski način - rekao je Bach u zahvalnom govoru.

Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach dobitnik Nagrade za mir: Sport može biti inspiracija za rješavanje problema na prijateljski način

Predsjednik Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora (MOO) Thomas Bach dobitnik je ovogodišnje Nagrade za mir koju od 1990. dodjeljuje Seoul Peace Prize Cultural fondacija.

Bach je prestižnu nagradu dobio zbog njegovih napora za zajedničkim nastupom Sjeverne i Južne Koreje na Olimpijskim igrama u Pyeongchangu 2018. i zbog promjena u olimpijskom pokretu pod njegovim vodstvom.

- "Predsjednik MOO-a Thomas Bach čovjek je koji nosi misiju olimpijskog duha, on je primjer koji istinski živi ono što podučava. Predsjednik Bach promovirao je prijateljstvo i sklad širom svijeta. Bavljenjem sportom uvelike je pridonio rješavanju sukoba i podjela u mnogim regijama. Time se pokazao kao veliki olimpijski prvak koji se posvetio miru - istaknuo je predsjednik fondacije Yeom Jae-ho.
