Nijemac Thomas Bach (66), koji predsjedava Međunarodnim olimpijskim odborom (MOO) od 2013. godine, bit će jedini kandidat koji će se sljedećeg ožujka boriti za drugi mandat, objavio je MOO u utorak nakon zatvaranja prijava.

Olimpijski prvak u mačevanju sa Olimpijskih igara u Montrealu 1976 i odvjetnik tražit će reizbor na četiri godine na 137. zasjedanju MOO-a, zakazanom u Ateni od 10. do 12. ožujka 2021. godine.

To će  biti njegov posljednji mandat jer prema Statutu MOO-a predsjednika biraju na osam godina 104 člana organizacije, tajnim glasovanjem, ali može biti ponovno imenovan samo jednom. Ponekad kritiziran zbog svog upravljanja koje se smatra autoritarnim, Thomas Bach gotovo da nije naišao na bilo kakvu jaču opoziciju od 2013. godine, s izuzetkom kanadskog odvjetnika Dicka Pounda. Kraj njegovog posljednjeg mandata posebno je obilježila pandemija koronavirusa, koja je prisilila MOO da prvi put u mirnodopsko doba odgodi Olimpijske igre.

Olimpijske igre u Tokiju, prvotno zakazane za ljeto 2020. godine, a trebale bi simbolizirati obnovu zemlje nakon tsunamija 2011. godine, odgođene su za 2021. godinu, a njihova organizacija  i dalje ostaje financijska i zdravstvena zagonetka.

Bach je deveti predsjednik MOO-a u povijesti, u MOO je došao 1991. godine, izabran je za potpredsjednika 2000. godine, a trebao je dva kruga glasovanja 2013. godine kako bi naslijedio Belgijanca Jacquesa Roggea jer je tijekom zasjedanja u Buenos Airesu imao čak pet protukandidata, uključujući ukrajinsku legendu skoka s motkom Sergeja Bubku.

Nijemac Thomas Bach (66), koji predsjedava Međunarodnim olimpijskim odborom (MOO) od 2013. godine, bit će jedini kandidat koji će se sljedećeg ožujka boriti za drugi mandat, objavio je MOO u utorak nakon zatvaranja prijava.

Olimpijski prvak u mačevanju sa Olimpijskih igara u Montrealu 1976 i odvjetnik tražit će reizbor na četiri godine na 137. zasjedanju MOO-a, zakazanom u Ateni od 10. do 12. ožujka 2021. godine.

To će  biti njegov posljednji mandat jer prema Statutu MOO-a predsjednika biraju na osam godina 104 člana organizacije, tajnim glasovanjem, ali može biti ponovno imenovan samo jednom. Ponekad kritiziran zbog svog upravljanja koje se smatra autoritarnim, Thomas Bach gotovo da nije naišao na bilo kakvu jaču opoziciju od 2013. godine, s izuzetkom kanadskog odvjetnika Dicka Pounda. Kraj njegovog posljednjeg mandata posebno je obilježila pandemija koronavirusa, koja je prisilila MOO da prvi put u mirnodopsko doba odgodi Olimpijske igre.

Olimpijske igre u Tokiju, prvotno zakazane za ljeto 2020. godine, a trebale bi simbolizirati obnovu zemlje nakon tsunamija 2011. godine, odgođene su za 2021. godinu, a njihova organizacija  i dalje ostaje financijska i zdravstvena zagonetka.

Bach je deveti predsjednik MOO-a u povijesti, u MOO je došao 1991. godine, izabran je za potpredsjednika 2000. godine, a trebao je dva kruga glasovanja 2013. godine kako bi naslijedio Belgijanca Jacquesa Roggea jer je tijekom zasjedanja u Buenos Airesu imao čak pet protukandidata, uključujući ukrajinsku legendu skoka s motkom Sergeja Bubku.

Thomas Bach jedini kandidat na izborima za predsjednika Međunarodnog olimpijskog odbora

Nijemac Thomas Bach (66), koji predsjedava Međunarodnim olimpijskim odborom (MOO) od 2013. godine, bit će jedini kandidat koji će se sljedećeg ožujka boriti za drugi mandat, objavio je MOO u utorak nakon zatvaranja prijava.

Olimpijski prvak u mačevanju sa Olimpijskih igara u Montrealu 1976 i odvjetnik tražit će reizbor na četiri godine na 137. zasjedanju MOO-a, zakazanom u Ateni od 10. do 12. ožujka 2021. godine.

To će  biti njegov posljednji mandat jer prema Statutu MOO-a predsjednika biraju na osam godina 104 člana organizacije, tajnim glasovanjem, ali može biti ponovno imenovan samo jednom. Ponekad kritiziran zbog svog upravljanja koje se smatra autoritarnim, Thomas Bach gotovo da nije naišao na bilo kakvu jaču opoziciju od 2013. godine, s izuzetkom kanadskog odvjetnika ...
