Portugalci su shrvani i još uvijek u šoku, ali borit će se za svog Alfreda Quintanu - kaže nam Ivan Slišković, povremeni hrvatski rukometni reprezentativac uoči početka kvalifikacija za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju.

Lijevi vanjski Slišković (29) član je Porta iz kojeg dolazi gro portugalske reprezentacije pa dobro poznaje jednog od naših suparnika na turniru u Montpellieru, no prije nego krenemo u analizu njihove selekcije, neizbježno je otvoriti temu o tragičnoj i iznenadnoj smrti Alfreda Quintane. Prvi vratar portugalske reprezentacije i Sliškovićev suigrač u Portu preminuo je 26. veljače od posljedica srčanog udara kojeg je doživio četiri dana ranije.

- Teško je naći prave riječi za to što smo svi skupa proživjeli. Vrijeme prolazi i ideš dalje, ali onda te neka slika ili video podsjete na njega i obuzme te osjećaj tuge. Samo sam pola godine bio s njim, a mogu misliti kako je onima koji su ga puno duže poznavali. Bio je to baš šok cijelom klubu i gradu - priča nam Splićanin koji je bio prisutan baš na tom treningu na kojemu je Quintani pozlilo.

- U tom trenutku nitko nije pomišljao na najgore. Općenito mi sportaši ne idemo za tim da nam se nešto može dogoditi. Mladi smo, zdravi, redovito idemo na preglede... Nismo znali koliko je opasna njegova situacija.

‘Svi smo plakali’

Nakon što je Quintana prevezen u bolnicu uz prilično tmurne prognoze, neki su se zaletjeli i proglasili ga mrtvim poput Kubanske rukometne federacije koja je kasnije povukla objavu i ispričala se obitelji Quintana.

- Puno je ljudi povjerovalo u tu vijest i to je bilo jako ružno prema njegovoj obitelji. I mene su sa svih strana pitali kakvo je stanje, no mi igrači dobivali smo samo šture informacije. Mogli smo samo moliti da Alfredo ozdravi... Tih par dana sve su aktivnosti kluba bile obustavljene, vladala je neizvjesnost, a onda je stigla službena vijest da je preminuo. Užas.

Posebno je emotivno bilo na utakmici Lige prvaka protiv Elveruma 4. ožujka, prvoj i za sada jedinoj koju je Porto odigrao nakon smrti Quintane.

- Tijekom minute šutnje svi smo plakali. Njegova je obitelj bila na tribinama i srce mi je još više pucalo.

Porto i Portugal nisu izgubili samo vrhunskog golmana, nego i čovjeka kojeg su obožavali. Bio je pravi pozitivac i borac, uvijek vedar i raspoložen, ističe Slišković. Bit će im teško dalje bez njega, ali naš igrač smatra kako će to dodatno mobilizirati Portugalce ne bi li Quintani u čast prvi put u povijesti predstavljali svoju zemlju na olimpijskom turniru.

- Siguran sam da će igrati svim srcem za Alfreda, no s druge strane takav je kalibar gotovo nemoguće nadomjestiti jer je zadnjih par godina bio među najboljim golmanima svijeta, a bez vrhunskog vratara ne možeš napraviti ozbiljniji rezultat.

Portugalci, s kojima bi Hrvatska mogla igrati ključan dvoboj za Tokio, nedavno su na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Egiptu ispali u drugom krugu. Porazom od Francuske ostali su bez nokaut-faze.

- Nitko to nije doživio kao smak svijeta. Bio im je to najbolji rezultat na SP-u. Mladi su i u stvaranju, možda ih je baš nedostatak iskustva koštao protiv Francuza.

Dobro poznajete mnoge reprezentativce?

- Da, puno ih igra sa mnom u Portu i zato su dobro uigrani. Na mojoj su poziciji Gomes i Magalhaes, srednjaci Martins i Rui Silva su dobri, krila također, a imaju i četiri pivota svjetske klase, među njima mladog Fradea iz Barcelone. Jako su dobri sedam na šest, no forte im je ipak obrana, pogotovo u sredini gdje su jaki, veliki i pokretni. Ali imamo i mi dobre obrane, pogotovo 5-1. Siguran sam da izbornik zna kako postaviti igru.

Skupina je nezgodna, teška?

- Je, i zanimljiva. Francuska nije tako uvjerljiva kao nekad, a bez publike nemaju ni prednost domaćinstva. Prognoze je u ovakvim okolnostima nezahvalno davati, ali vjerujem da ćemo izboriti Tokio - zaključit će Ivan Slišković.

'JAKO SU NAPREDOVALI'

Slišković u Portu odrađuje prvu sezonu nakon što je prošle godine stigao iz njemačkog bundesligaša Göppingena.

- Uvjeti su vrhunski, imam ugovor još jednu sezonu nakon ove. Htio sam doživjeti nešto novo i drukčije, a sad sam se iz prve ruke mogao uvjeriti koliko je Portugal napredovao u rukometu. Liga još nije toliko jaka, ali Porto, Sporting i Benfica sve su značajniji u Europi. Cilj nam je ove sezone osvojiti domaće prvenstvo i kup, a u LP proći Aalborg u osmini finala.

“Slija” trenutno nije u kadru reprezentacije.

- Nemam kontakata s izbornikom. Treniram, igram i trudim se, ali nikad se nisam nametao, pa neću ni sada.

Portugalci su shrvani i još uvijek u šoku, ali borit će se za svog Alfreda Quintanu - kaže nam Ivan Slišković, povremeni hrvatski rukometni reprezentativac uoči početka kvalifikacija za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju.

Prvi vratar portugalske reprezentacije i Sliškovićev suigrač u Portu preminuo je 26. veljače od posljedica srčanog udara kojeg je doživio četiri dana ranije.

- Teško je naći prave riječi za to što smo svi skupa proživjeli. Vrijeme prolazi i ideš dalje, ali onda te neka slika ili video podsjete na njega i obuzme te osjećaj tuge. Samo sam pola godine bio s njim, a mogu misliti kako je onima koji su ga puno duže poznavali. Bio je to baš šok cijelom klubu i gradu - priča nam Splićanin koji je bio prisutan baš na tom treningu na kojemu je Quintani pozlilo.

- U tom trenutku nitko nije pomišljao na najgore. Općenito mi sportaši ne idemo za tim da nam se nešto može dogoditi. Mladi smo, zdravi, redovito idemo na preglede... Nismo znali koliko je opasna njegova situacija.

‘Svi smo plakali’

Nakon što je Quintana prevezen u bolnicu uz prilično tmurne prognoze, neki su se zaletjeli i proglasili ga mrtvim poput Kubanske rukometne federacije koja je kasnije povukla objavu i ispričala se obitelji Quintana.

- Puno je ljudi povjerovalo u tu vijest i to je bilo jako ružno prema njegovoj obitelji. I mene su sa svih strana pitali kakvo je stanje, no mi igrači dobivali smo samo šture informacije. Mogli smo samo moliti da Alfredo ozdravi... Tih par dana sve su aktivnosti kluba bile obustavljene, vladala je neizvjesnost, a onda je stigla službena vijest da je preminuo. Užas.

Posebno je emotivno bilo na utakmici Lige prvaka protiv Elveruma 4. ožujka, prvoj i za sada jedinoj koju je Porto odigrao nakon smrti Quintane.

- Tijekom minute šutnje svi smo plakali. Njegova je obitelj bila na tribinama i srce mi je još više pucalo.

Porto i Portugal nisu izgubili samo vrhunskog golmana, nego i čovjeka kojeg su obožavali. Bio je pravi pozitivac i borac, uvijek vedar i raspoložen, ističe Slišković. Bit će im teško dalje bez njega, ali naš igrač smatra kako će to dodatno mobilizirati Portugalce ne bi li Quintani u čast prvi put u povijesti predstavljali svoju zemlju na olimpijskom turniru.

- Siguran sam da će igrati svim srcem za Alfreda, no s druge strane takav je kalibar gotovo nemoguće nadomjestiti jer je zadnjih par godina bio među najboljim golmanima svijeta, a bez vrhunskog vratara ne možeš napraviti ozbiljniji rezultat.

Portugalci, s kojima bi Hrvatska mogla igrati ključan dvoboj za Tokio, nedavno su na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Egiptu ispali u drugom krugu. Porazom od Francuske ostali su bez nokaut-faze.

- Nitko to nije doživio kao smak svijeta. Bio im je to najbolji rezultat na SP-u. Mladi su i u stvaranju, možda ih je baš nedostatak iskustva koštao protiv Francuza.

Dobro poznajete mnoge reprezentativce?

- Da, puno ih igra sa mnom u Portu i zato su dobro uigrani. Na mojoj su poziciji Gomes i Magalhaes, srednjaci Martins i Rui Silva su dobri, krila također, a imaju i četiri pivota svjetske klase, među njima mladog Fradea iz Barcelone. Jako su dobri sedam na šest, no forte im je ipak obrana, pogotovo u sredini gdje su jaki, veliki i pokretni. Ali imamo i mi dobre obrane, pogotovo 5-1. Siguran sam da izbornik zna kako postaviti igru.

Skupina je nezgodna, teška?

- Je, i zanimljiva. Francuska nije tako uvjerljiva kao nekad, a bez publike nemaju ni prednost domaćinstva. Prognoze je u ovakvim okolnostima nezahvalno davati, ali vjerujem da ćemo izboriti Tokio - zaključit će Ivan Slišković.

'JAKO SU NAPREDOVALI'

Slišković u Portu odrađuje prvu sezonu nakon što je prošle godine stigao iz njemačkog bundesligaša Göppingena.

- Uvjeti su vrhunski, imam ugovor još jednu sezonu nakon ove. Htio sam doživjeti nešto novo i drukčije, a sad sam se iz prve ruke mogao uvjeriti koliko je Portugal napredovao u rukometu. Liga još nije toliko jaka, ali Porto, Sporting i Benfica sve su značajniji u Europi. Cilj nam je ove sezone osvojiti domaće prvenstvo i kup, a u LP proći Aalborg u osmini finala.

“Slija” trenutno nije u kadru reprezentacije.

- Nemam kontakata s izbornikom. Treniram, igram i trudim se, ali nikad se nisam nametao, pa neću ni sada.

Portugalci su shrvani i još uvijek u šoku, ali borit će se za svog Alfreda Quintanu - kaže nam Ivan Slišković, povremeni hrvatski rukometni reprezentativac uoči početka kvalifikacija za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju.

Lijevi vanjski Slišković (29) član je Porta iz kojeg dolazi gro portugalske reprezentacije pa dobro poznaje jednog od naših suparnika na turniru u Montpellieru, no prije nego krenemo u analizu njihove selekcije, neizbježno je otvoriti temu o tragičnoj i iznenadnoj smrti Alfreda Quintane.
