Najtrofejniji trener u povijesti britanskog nogometa Alex Ferguson (76) u teškom stanju je prevezen u bolnicu gdje je hitno operiran, prenose 'otočki' mediji.

Premda za sada nema službene informacije, nagađa se kako je Ferguson imao izljev krvi u mozak zbog čega je hitno operiran.

Navodi se kako je obitelj pozvala hitnu pomoć u njihov dom u Cheshireu nakon čega je odvezen u bolnicu Macclesfield.

"Operacija je prošla vrlo dobro, a obitelj moli za privatnost," objavio je Manchester United.

Legendarni Škot je tijekom trenerske karijere osvojio ukupno 49 trofeja pri čemu 38 na klupi Manchester Uniteda.

"Crvene vragove" je vodio 26 godina čime je postao menadžer s najduljim radnim stažem u klubu, pretekavši rekord Matta Busbya. S Manchester Unitedom je osvojio 13 naslova engleskog prvaka, a dva puta je slavio u Ligi prvaka.

U mirovinu je otišao u lipnju 2013.
