Predsjednik Međunarodne teniske federacije David Haggerty kazao je za BBC da ITF nema planova za suspenziju turnira u Kini povodom slučaja Peng Shuai, bivše prve tenisačice svijeta u parovima. 

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je, a nedavno je Ženska teniska udruga (WTA) objavila suspenziju svih WTA turnira u Kini.

ITF je nadležan za Billie Jean King Cup (bivši Fed Cup), Davis Cup i mnoge turnire nižeg ranga. 
 
"Ne želimo kazniti milijardu ljudi, te ćemo zasad nastaviti organizirati juniorske i seniorske turnire", kazao je Haggerty, dodavši da će raditi iz sjene kako bi riješili pitanje u vezi slučaja Peng Shuai.

Predsjednik Međunarodne teniske federacije David Haggerty kazao je za BBC da ITF nema planova za suspenziju turnira u Kini povodom slučaja Peng Shuai, bivše prve tenisačice svijeta u parovima. 

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je, a nedavno je Ženska teniska udruga (WTA) objavila suspenziju svih WTA turnira u Kini.

ITF je nadležan za Billie Jean King Cup (bivši Fed Cup), Davis Cup i mnoge turnire nižeg ranga. 
 
"Ne želimo kazniti milijardu ljudi, te ćemo zasad nastaviti organizirati juniorske i seniorske turnire", kazao je Haggerty, dodavši da će raditi iz sjene kako bi riješili pitanje u vezi slučaja Peng Shuai.

‘Ne želimo kazniti milijardu ljudi‘: ITF nema planova za suspenziju turnira u Kini povodom slučaja Peng Shuai

Predsjednik Međunarodne teniske federacije David Haggerty kazao je za BBC da ITF nema planova za suspenziju turnira u Kini povodom slučaja Peng Shuai, bivše prve tenisačice svijeta u parovima. 

Peng Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, je prije više od mjesec dana optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos. Nakon toga nestala je iz javnosti i mnoge organizacije i pojedinci postavljali su pitanja o tome gdje se nalazi i kako je, a nedavno je Ženska teniska udruga (WTA) objavila suspenziju svih WTA turnira u Kini.

ITF je nadležan za Billie Jean King Cup (bivši Fed Cup), Davis Cup i mnoge turnire nižeg ranga.
