Ako ste gledali "Ne budi zao dok piješ juice u mom kvartu" ili "Petak", možda pamtite scene u kojima se iz najmanje očekivanih "kantuna" pojavljuje onaj što viče "Message!", naglašavajući kako je upravo izrečeno nešto duboko i značajno. E pa taj uzvik "Message!" je privatna pošalica koju dijelim sa svojim suprugom, a dreknemo je, najčešće uglas, kad je scena uništena patetičnim kvazidubokoumnim komentarom.

I čim smo je dreknuli gledajući Enolu Holmes, priču o Sherlockovoj mlađoj sestri koju sam stvarno jedva čekala pogledati, postalo mi je jasno da me film ipak neće osvojiti. Ne mogu reći da nije vrijedan gledanja, osobito ako volite Millie Bobby Brown, viktorijansko razdoblje i Holmesa, no da biste potpuno uživali u filmu, morat ćete imati visok prag tolerancije za obilatu dozu "messages". Ipak, "poruke" su stvarno lijepe, girl power i sve to, tako da vas možda neće nervirati, a i film je adaptacija knjige YA žanra, namijenjene mlađem uzrastu, pa su sve te osnažujuće poruke sastavni dio paketa...

Međutim, Enola bi mnogima mogla biti razočaranje, kao što je, na neki način, i meni, jer sam ipak malo više očekivala od redatelja serije Fleabag, koja pršti od britanskog humora natopljenog ironijom. Možda to objašnjava mizernih 6/10, koliko za sada ima na IMBd-u, i 70 posto na Rotten Tomatoesu.

Zapravo je situacija pomalo čudna: u Enoli imamo vrlo dopadljivu glavnu glumicu, kojoj baš šarmantno pristaje british naglasak, uvijek fascinantnu (barem meni) Helenu Bonham Carter, imamo obilje akcije i misterija, imamo društveno svjesne momente – spominju se, i prikazuju, sufražetkinje, feministice i kroz barem 10 "messages" se naglašava jednakost spolova, kritika patrijarhalnom društvu, pravo na biranje vlastite sudbine... – no sve je to malo previše "diznijevski" sladunjavo i naivno. No tko mi je kriv što se nisam unaprijed raspitala pa bila spremna na to da se spremam pogledati adaptaciju knjige za mlade.

Ako ste gledali "Ne budi zao dok piješ juice u mom kvartu" ili "Petak", možda pamtite scene u kojima se iz najmanje očekivanih "kantuna" pojavljuje onaj što viče "Message!", naglašavajući kako je upravo izrečeno nešto duboko i značajno. E pa taj uzvik "Message!" je privatna pošalica koju dijelim sa svojim suprugom, a dreknemo je, najčešće uglas, kad je scena uništena patetičnim kvazidubokoumnim komentarom.

I čim smo je dreknuli gledajući Enolu Holmes, priču o Sherlockovoj mlađoj sestri koju sam stvarno jedva čekala pogledati, postalo mi je jasno da me film ipak neće osvojiti. Ne mogu reći da nije vrijedan gledanja, osobito ako volite Millie Bobby Brown, viktorijansko razdoblje i Holmesa, no da biste potpuno uživali u filmu, morat ćete imati visok prag tolerancije za obilatu dozu "messages". Ipak, "poruke" su stvarno lijepe, girl power i sve to, tako da vas možda neće nervirati, a i film je adaptacija knjige YA žanra, namijenjene mlađem uzrastu, pa su sve te osnažujuće poruke sastavni dio paketa...

Međutim, Enola bi mnogima mogla biti razočaranje, kao što je, na neki način, i meni, jer sam ipak malo više očekivala od redatelja serije Fleabag, koja pršti od britanskog humora natopljenog ironijom. Možda to objašnjava mizernih 6/10, koliko za sada ima na IMBd-u, i 70 posto na Rotten Tomatoesu.

Zapravo je situacija pomalo čudna: u Enoli imamo vrlo dopadljivu glavnu glumicu, kojoj baš šarmantno pristaje british naglasak, uvijek fascinantnu (barem meni) Helenu Bonham Carter, imamo obilje akcije i misterija, imamo društveno svjesne momente – spominju se, i prikazuju, sufražetkinje, feministice i kroz barem 10 "messages" se naglašava jednakost spolova, kritika patrijarhalnom društvu, pravo na biranje vlastite sudbine... – no sve je to malo previše "diznijevski" sladunjavo i naivno. No tko mi je kriv što se nisam unaprijed raspitala pa bila spremna na to da se spremam pogledati adaptaciju knjige za mlade.
