Prije točno 10 godina, 16. studenoga 2012., hrvatski generali Ante Gotovina i Mladen Markač oslobođeni su odlukom žalbenoga vijeća Haaškog suda optužbi za ratne zločine u ‘Oluji‘.

Sudsko vijeće s američkim sucem Theodorom Meronom na čelu odlučilo je da hrvatski generali nisu bili članovi udruženog zločinačkog pothvata, čime je srušena prvostupanjska presuda iz travnja 2011. godine kojom su generali bili osuđeni na 24 (Gotovina) odnosno 18 godina zatvora (Markač), uglavnom za prekomjernu uporabu topništva prema civilnim ciljevima.

Doček nakon haaške pobjede

Ovakva odluka žalbenoga vijeća u Haagu izazvala je euforične reakcije u našoj zemlji i diljem dijaspore, a golemo razočaranje u Srbiji i u redovima srpske manjine. Generalima je u Zagrebu ubrzo priređen općenarodni doček na Trgu bana Jelačića, kad je Ante Gotovina izgovorio nekoliko jednostavnih rečenica i time stavio konačnu točku na svoju borbenu priču:

„Imali smo Oluju u ratu, a ovo je bila pravna oluja i pobijedili smo. Rat pripada povijesti, okrenimo se budućnosti, držimo je u svojim rukama. Hvala vam i sretno...“

General Gotovina je prije puštanja na slobodu u haaškom pritvoru proveo preko dvije ili pol tisuće dana ( 7 godina), a Mladen Markač oko dvije tisuće, odnosno oko 5 i pol godina.

Gdje su danas, puno desetljeće kasnije, junaci ove velike poslijeratne bitke s pravosudnim happy endom? Bivši zapovjednik specijalnih jedinica MUP-a Mladen Markač povukao se u obiteljski krug, i dalje rado kuha i još povremeno slijedi svoju veliku strast – lov. Prilično se redovito pojavljuje na pogrebima suboraca i proslavama velikih ratnih obljetnica, pa je tako bio glavni govornik i  na zadnjoj proslavi Dana pobjede i domovinske zahvalnosti 5. kolovoza u Kninu. Proglašen je počasnim građaninom Zagreba, Osijeka, Knina, Krašića, Duge Rese, Koprivnice, Novske, Virovitice, Konavala, Gospića, Cetingrada, Pleternice, Biograda na Moru, Đurđevca, Benkovca, Lipika, Varaždinske i Koprivničko-križevačke županije.

Markač na svečanoj akademiji

Ante Gotovina se samostanski dosljedno drži svojega životnoga kreda kojega je prije 10 godina izgovorio pred okupljenim građanima na centralnom zagrebačkom trgu: za njega rat doista potpuno pripada prošlosti. Nakon što je javno proglasio svoju biblijsku preobrazbu iz ratnika u ribara, ime mu se u javnosti još povremeno pojavi jedino u dodatnom kontekstu maslinara, odnosno proizvođača iznimno kvalitetnog maslinova ulja.

Iako je počasni građanin Splita, Zagreba, Zadra, Dubrovnika, Sinja, Osijeka, Koprivnice, Paga, Malog Lošinja, Škabrnje, Posedarja, Poličnika, Podstrane, Donje Motičine i niza drugih gradova i općina, Gotovina se čak ne odaziva ni na njihove pozive da ih posjeti u svojstvu nekadašnje ratne ikone, pa su neki (Koprivnica) nedavno prijetili da će mu oduzeti povelju počasnog građanina jer je nikad nije došao niti preuzeti.

Gotovinini kavezi za tune kod Vrgade

Početkom ove godine njegove tvrtke ‘Jadran tuna‘ i ‘Pelagos net farma‘ su s političkih govornica u Zadru bile prozivane za nelegalni uvoz tuna iz Libije, a Ministarstvo poljoprivrede za njihovu tihu ‘legalizaciju‘, no ova afera se ipak nije raspetljala dalje od repa. Gotovinin biznis s tunama lanjske je godine, inače, ostvario rekordni prihod od oko 200 milijuna kuna. Osim tuna, generalove tvrtke zadnjih godina proizvode i slane srdele koje su po ocjenama renomiranih gastro-znalaca među najkvalitetnijima na našem tržištu.

Prije točno 10 godina, 16. studenoga 2012., hrvatski generali Ante Gotovina i Mladen Markač oslobođeni su odlukom žalbenoga vijeća Haaškog suda optužbi za ratne zločine u ‘Oluji‘.

Sudsko vijeće s američkim sucem Theodorom Meronom na čelu odlučilo je da hrvatski generali nisu bili članovi udruženog zločinačkog pothvata, čime je srušena prvostupanjska presuda iz travnja 2011. godine kojom su generali bili osuđeni na 24 (Gotovina) odnosno 18 godina zatvora (Markač), uglavnom za prekomjernu uporabu topništva prema civilnim ciljevima.

Ovakva odluka žalbenoga vijeća u Haagu izazvala je euforične reakcije u našoj zemlji i diljem dijaspore, a golemo razočaranje u Srbiji i u redovima srpske manjine. Generalima je u Zagrebu ubrzo priređen općenarodni doček na Trgu bana Jelačića, kad je Ante Gotovina izgovorio nekoliko jednostavnih rečenica i time stavio konačnu točku na svoju borbenu priču:

„Imali smo Oluju u ratu, a ovo je bila pravna oluja i pobijedili smo. Rat pripada povijesti, okrenimo se budućnosti, držimo je u svojim rukama. Hvala vam i sretno...“

General Gotovina je prije puštanja na slobodu u haaškom pritvoru proveo preko dvije ili pol tisuće dana ( 7 godina), a Mladen Markač oko dvije tisuće, odnosno oko 5 i pol godina.

Gdje su danas, puno desetljeće kasnije, junaci ove velike poslijeratne bitke s pravosudnim happy endom? Bivši zapovjednik specijalnih jedinica MUP-a Mladen Markač povukao se u obiteljski krug, i dalje rado kuha i još povremeno slijedi svoju veliku strast – lov. Prilično se redovito pojavljuje na pogrebima suboraca i proslavama velikih ratnih obljetnica, pa je tako bio glavni govornik i  na zadnjoj proslavi Dana pobjede i domovinske zahvalnosti 5. kolovoza u Kninu. Proglašen je počasnim građaninom Zagreba, Osijeka, Knina, Krašića, Duge Rese, Koprivnice, Novske, Virovitice, Konavala, Gospića, Cetingrada, Pleternice, Biograda na Moru, Đurđevca, Benkovca, Lipika, Varaždinske i Koprivničko-križevačke županije.

Ante Gotovina se samostanski dosljedno drži svojega životnoga kreda kojega je prije 10 godina izgovorio pred okupljenim građanima na centralnom zagrebačkom trgu: za njega rat doista potpuno pripada prošlosti. Nakon što je javno proglasio svoju biblijsku preobrazbu iz ratnika u ribara, ime mu se u javnosti još povremeno pojavi jedino u dodatnom kontekstu maslinara, odnosno proizvođača iznimno kvalitetnog maslinova ulja.

Iako je počasni građanin Splita, Zagreba, Zadra, Dubrovnika, Sinja, Osijeka, Koprivnice, Paga, Malog Lošinja, Škabrnje, Posedarja, Poličnika, Podstrane, Donje Motičine i niza drugih gradova i općina, Gotovina se čak ne odaziva ni na njihove pozive da ih posjeti u svojstvu nekadašnje ratne ikone, pa su neki (Koprivnica) nedavno prijetili da će mu oduzeti povelju počasnog građanina jer je nikad nije došao niti preuzeti.

Početkom ove godine njegove tvrtke ‘Jadran tuna‘ i ‘Pelagos net farma‘ su s političkih govornica u Zadru bile prozivane za nelegalni uvoz tuna iz Libije, a Ministarstvo poljoprivrede za njihovu tihu ‘legalizaciju‘, no ova afera se ipak nije raspetljala dalje od repa. Gotovinin biznis s tunama lanjske je godine, inače, ostvario rekordni prihod od oko 200 milijuna kuna. Osim tuna, generalove tvrtke zadnjih godina proizvode i slane srdele koje su po ocjenama renomiranih gastro-znalaca među najkvalitetnijima na našem tržištu.
