Delta virus u Portugalu se širi kao požar. Ovaj je tjedan broj pacijenata zaraženih koronavirusom u bolnicama dramatično porastao i sada je više od 700 zaraženih na bolničkoj njezi, što je najveća brojka hospitaliziranih još od ožujka. U protekla 24 sata zabilježena su 1782 nova slučaja i osmero mrtvih u zemlji s oko 10 milijuna stanovnika.

Oko 50.000 Njemaca planiralo je ljetovanje u portugalskoj regiji Algarve.To je bilo prije upozorenja njemačkih vlasti, a sada nitko u Portugalu ne zna hoće li ti turisti uopće doći.

- Delta soj se u Portugalu počeo širiti prije mjesec dana dominantno među mlađom necijepljenom populacijom koja ima blage simptome i kojima nije trebala hospitalizacija. Međutim, nakon većeg broja prijenosa među mladima, virus je ušao i u srednju i stariju populaciju koja nema imunost i tu sad raste broj osoba sa težom slikom koje trebaju bolničku njegu - kaže nam ugledni riječki imunolog prof. dr. Zlatko Trobonjača.

 Opasnost od delta-soja ogleda se u tome što se čak 60 posto brže širi od britanskoga alfa soja što je dovelo do situacije da je 90 posto novozaraženih u Velikoj Britaniji inficirano  upravo ovom varijantom koronavirusa. U Velikoj Britaniji je zbog bolje procijepljenosti manji broj hospitaliziranih prema broju zaraženih nego u Portugalu.

 Dr. Trobonjača kaže kako se na u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu virus munjevito širi dijelom i zbog toga što su dominantno procijepljeni AstraZenecom koja protiv delta-soja nešto lošije štiti nego Pfizerovo cjepivo.

„U slučaju delta-soja, od težih oblika bolesti AstraZeneca štiti na razini oko sedamdesetak posto dok Pfizerovo cjepivo ima učinkovitost iznad 80 posto. No, da nisu procijepljeni u mjeri kojoj jesu, Britanci bi danas imali dupkom pune bolnice – smatra naš sugovornik. 

Podsjeća na poznati dosadašnji COVID scenarij prema kojem dva tjedna nakon naglog skoka broja zaraženih kreće pojačano punjenje bolničkih kreveta, a potom nakon tri, četiri tjedna raste i stopa smrtnosti.

„Mislim da kod nas neće doći do naglog povećanja hospitalizacija temeljem širenja delta soja kao ni do velikog rasta stope smrtnosti, odnosno sigurno ne u onoj mjeri u kojoj smo to imali u drugom i trećem valu. Govorim to zato što smo ipak dio populacije cijepili i oni imaju imunost. No, širenje epidemije nećemo moći izbjeći jer je delta-soj strahovito zarazan. Njegovo je širenje naglo i on će pronaći one ljude u populaciji koji nisu cijepljeni, odnosno koji nemaju dobru imunost i koji su osjetljiviji – tvrdi imunolog.

Nada se da do četvrtog vala neće doći preko ljeta.

„Jako je važno da Stožer brzo reagira čim prepozna mogućnost pojačanog širenja zaraze na nekom području, kao što su dobro reagirali u Zadarskoj županiji. Jedino brzom reakcijom možemo sačuvati ostale županije da nam ne 'pocrvene' dok traje turistička sezona, navodi liječnik.

Šokiran je, kaže, što se veliki broj ljudi i dalje ne želi cijepiti.

„Zbog njih mi kao društvo dolazimo u situaciju da moramo čekati dok se oni inficiraju. A svi će se oni inficirati, u to mogu biti sigurni i neće kao cijepljeni dobiti samo m-RNA koronavirusa nego cijeli genom koji će se u njima replicirati i izazivati jače simptome. Uopće mi je i teško povjerovati da  nakon svega što smo prošli ima toliko ljudi koji se ne žele cijepiti. Indoktrinirani su neznanstvenim informacijama, alternativnim istinama i kojekakvim pokretima i pojedincima kojoj su protivnici cijepljenja – negoduje prof. dr. Trobonjača i podsjeća da je potrebna kolektivna procijepljenost od 85 posto da bi se spriječilo širenje zaraze.

Delta virus u Portugalu se širi kao požar. Ovaj je tjedan broj pacijenata zaraženih koronavirusom u bolnicama dramatično porastao i sada je više od 700 zaraženih na bolničkoj njezi, što je najveća brojka hospitaliziranih još od ožujka. U protekla 24 sata zabilježena su 1782 nova slučaja i osmero mrtvih u zemlji s oko 10 milijuna stanovnika.

Oko 50.000 Njemaca planiralo je ljetovanje u portugalskoj regiji Algarve.To je bilo prije upozorenja njemačkih vlasti, a sada nitko u Portugalu ne zna hoće li ti turisti uopće doći.

- Delta soj se u Portugalu počeo širiti prije mjesec dana dominantno među mlađom necijepljenom populacijom koja ima blage simptome i kojima nije trebala hospitalizacija. Međutim, nakon većeg broja prijenosa među mladima, virus je ušao i u srednju i stariju populaciju koja nema imunost i tu sad raste broj osoba sa težom slikom koje trebaju bolničku njegu - kaže nam ugledni riječki imunolog prof. dr. Zlatko Trobonjača.

 Opasnost od delta-soja ogleda se u tome što se čak 60 posto brže širi od britanskoga alfa soja što je dovelo do situacije da je 90 posto novozaraženih u Velikoj Britaniji inficirano  upravo ovom varijantom koronavirusa. U Velikoj Britaniji je zbog bolje procijepljenosti manji broj hospitaliziranih prema broju zaraženih nego u Portugalu.

 Dr. Trobonjača kaže kako se na u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu virus munjevito širi dijelom i zbog toga što su dominantno procijepljeni AstraZenecom koja protiv delta-soja nešto lošije štiti nego Pfizerovo cjepivo.

„U slučaju delta-soja, od težih oblika bolesti AstraZeneca štiti na razini oko sedamdesetak posto dok Pfizerovo cjepivo ima učinkovitost iznad 80 posto. No, da nisu procijepljeni u mjeri kojoj jesu, Britanci bi danas imali dupkom pune bolnice – smatra naš sugovornik. 

Podsjeća na poznati dosadašnji COVID scenarij prema kojem dva tjedna nakon naglog skoka broja zaraženih kreće pojačano punjenje bolničkih kreveta, a potom nakon tri, četiri tjedna raste i stopa smrtnosti.

„Mislim da kod nas neće doći do naglog povećanja hospitalizacija temeljem širenja delta soja kao ni do velikog rasta stope smrtnosti, odnosno sigurno ne u onoj mjeri u kojoj smo to imali u drugom i trećem valu. Govorim to zato što smo ipak dio populacije cijepili i oni imaju imunost. No, širenje epidemije nećemo moći izbjeći jer je delta-soj strahovito zarazan. Njegovo je širenje naglo i on će pronaći one ljude u populaciji koji nisu cijepljeni, odnosno koji nemaju dobru imunost i koji su osjetljiviji – tvrdi imunolog.

Nada se da do četvrtog vala neće doći preko ljeta.

„Jako je važno da Stožer brzo reagira čim prepozna mogućnost pojačanog širenja zaraze na nekom području, kao što su dobro reagirali u Zadarskoj županiji. Jedino brzom reakcijom možemo sačuvati ostale županije da nam ne 'pocrvene' dok traje turistička sezona, navodi liječnik.

Šokiran je, kaže, što se veliki broj ljudi i dalje ne želi cijepiti.

„Zbog njih mi kao društvo dolazimo u situaciju da moramo čekati dok se oni inficiraju. A svi će se oni inficirati, u to mogu biti sigurni i neće kao cijepljeni dobiti samo m-RNA koronavirusa nego cijeli genom koji će se u njima replicirati i izazivati jače simptome. Uopće mi je i teško povjerovati da  nakon svega što smo prošli ima toliko ljudi koji se ne žele cijepiti. Indoktrinirani su neznanstvenim informacijama, alternativnim istinama i kojekakvim pokretima i pojedincima kojoj su protivnici cijepljenja – negoduje prof. dr. Trobonjača i podsjeća da je potrebna kolektivna procijepljenost od 85 posto da bi se spriječilo širenje zaraze.
