Od početka pandemije, a zaključno s današnjim danom, u Hrvatskoj je zabilježeno 179.718 slučajeva zaraze koronavirusom, od čega se 155.079 osoba oporavilo, a preminulo ih je 2.778.

No, možemo li reći da je Covid-19 jedan od najčešćih uzroka smrti ove godine u Hrvatskoj?

U potrazi da odgovorom, podatak o broju umrlih od Covida-19 ove godine usporedili s drugim dostupnim podacima, a to su oni o broju umrlih od svakog od najčešćih uzroka smrti u Hrvatskoj u 2019. godini.

Za početak, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku u 2019. godini u Hrvatskoj su umrle 51.794 osobe (što je 912 osoba manje nego 2018. godine).

Prema izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, prvi uzrok smrti u Hrvatskoj u prošloj godini bile su bolesti cirkulacijskog sustava, dakle srca i krvotoka, od kojih je umrlo 22.020 osoba.

Od tumora, druge po redu skupine bolesti vodećih uzroka smrti, umrlo je 13.718 osoba. Tri četvrtine svih uzroka smrti u Hrvatskoj je iz te dvije skupine bolesti.

Preostale smrti odnose se na bolesti endokrinog sustava od kojih su preminule 4.034 osobe, ozljede i otrovanja koje su bile uzrok 2.812 smrti, te bolesti dišnog sustava od kojih je preminulo 2.313 ljudi.

Udio nepoznatih i nedovoljno definiranih uzroka smrti iznosio je 0,6 posto – stoji u izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo za 2019. godinu.

Iako još nije kraj godine, te se podaci o broju osoba koje su preminule od koronavirusa vode od ožujka, usporedbom s brojem smrti od vodećih uzroka u cijeloj 2019. godini mogli bi zaključiti da je Covid-19 sada jedan od najčešćih uzroka smrti u našoj državi.

Kako bi u nekim uzrocima smrti bilo preklapanja, jer Covid-19 udara na širok spektar organa, te zbog toga što još ne znamo prave posljedice ove zdravstvene krize na liječenje drugih pacijenata, svakako će biti zanimljivi zaključci stručnjaka za javno zdravstvo koji će te podatke analizirati.

Napomenimo i da je, prema izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo iz ožujka 2019., prošle sezone, znači 2018./2019., od gripe bilo službeno registrirano 60.293 oboljelih.

Upravo te sezone zabilježen je veći broj dojava o smrtnim ishodima zbog gripe i njezinih komplikacija u usporedbi s prethodnim sezonama, pa je tako u sezoni 2018./2019. bilo dojavljeno 107 smrtnih ishoda, dok je u sezoni 2017./2018. bilo prijavljeno 29 umrlih.

- Navedeni podaci upućuju na tzv. višak smrti odnosno povećani broj umrlih u odnosu na broj umrlih izvan sezone gripe. To je posljedica činjenice da je gripa u određenim rizičnim skupinama kao što su osobe u dobi od 65 godina i stariji te kronični bolesnici neovisno o dobi, češće praćena komplikacijama i smrtnim ishodom. Teško je reći koliko stvarno osoba umre izravno ili, što je češće, neizravno od gripe (kao posljedica pogoršanja osnovne bolesti ili komplikacije, poput upale pluća ili sepse).

Procjenjuje se da u Hrvatskoj zbog gripe umire do 500-tinjak osoba godišnje, od kojih samo manji broj bude i službeno prijavljen – stoji u izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo iz ožujka 2019. godine.

Od početka pandemije, a zaključno s današnjim danom, u Hrvatskoj je zabilježeno 179.718 slučajeva zaraze koronavirusom, od čega se 155.079 osoba oporavilo, a preminulo ih je 2.778.

No, možemo li reći da je Covid-19 jedan od najčešćih uzroka smrti ove godine u Hrvatskoj?

U potrazi da odgovorom, podatak o broju umrlih od Covida-19 ove godine usporedili s drugim dostupnim podacima, a to su oni o broju umrlih od svakog od najčešćih uzroka smrti u Hrvatskoj u 2019. godini.

Za početak, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku u 2019. godini u Hrvatskoj su umrle 51.794 osobe (što je 912 osoba manje nego 2018. godine).

Prema izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, prvi uzrok smrti u Hrvatskoj u prošloj godini bile su bolesti cirkulacijskog sustava, dakle srca i krvotoka, od kojih je umrlo 22.020 osoba.

Udio nepoznatih i nedovoljno definiranih uzroka smrti iznosio je 0,6 posto – stoji u izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo za 2019. godinu.

Iako još nije kraj godine, te se podaci o broju osoba koje su preminule od koronavirusa vode od ožujka, usporedbom s brojem smrti od vodećih uzroka u cijeloj 2019. godini mogli bi zaključiti da je Covid-19 sada jedan od najčešćih uzroka smrti u našoj državi.

Kako bi u nekim uzrocima smrti bilo preklapanja, jer Covid-19 udara na širok spektar organa, te zbog toga što još ne znamo prave posljedice ove zdravstvene krize na liječenje drugih pacijenata, svakako će biti zanimljivi zaključci stručnjaka za javno zdravstvo koji će te podatke analizirati.

Napomenimo i da je, prema izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo iz ožujka 2019., prošle sezone, znači 2018./2019., od gripe bilo službeno registrirano 60.293 oboljelih.

Upravo te sezone zabilježen je veći broj dojava o smrtnim ishodima zbog gripe i njezinih komplikacija u usporedbi s prethodnim sezonama, pa je tako u sezoni 2018./2019. bilo dojavljeno 107 smrtnih ishoda, dok je u sezoni 2017./2018. bilo prijavljeno 29 umrlih.

- Navedeni podaci upućuju na tzv. višak smrti odnosno povećani broj umrlih u odnosu na broj umrlih izvan sezone gripe. To je posljedica činjenice da je gripa u određenim rizičnim skupinama kao što su osobe u dobi od 65 godina i stariji te kronični bolesnici neovisno o dobi, češće praćena komplikacijama i smrtnim ishodom. Teško je reći koliko stvarno osoba umre izravno ili, što je češće, neizravno od gripe (kao posljedica pogoršanja osnovne bolesti ili komplikacije, poput upale pluća ili sepse).

Procjenjuje se da u Hrvatskoj zbog gripe umire do 500-tinjak osoba godišnje, od kojih samo manji broj bude i službeno prijavljen – stoji u izvješću Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo iz ožujka 2019. godine.

Od početka pandemije, a zaključno s današnjim danom, u Hrvatskoj je zabilježeno 179.718 slučajeva zaraze koronavirusom, od čega se 155.079 osoba oporavilo, a preminulo ih je 2.778.

No, možemo li reći da je Covid-19 jedan od najčešćih uzroka smrti ove godine u Hrvatskoj?

U potrazi da odgovorom, podatak o broju umrlih od Covida-19 ove godine usporedili s drugim dostupnim podacima, a to su oni o broju umrlih od svakog od najčešćih uzroka smrti u Hrvatskoj u 2019. godini.

Za početak, prema podacima Državnog zavoda za statistiku u 2019. godini u Hrvatskoj su umrle 51.794 osobe (što je 912 osoba manje nego 2018. godine).
