Koronavirus se proširio medijskim prostorom i društvenim mrežama jednako brzo kao i zemaljskom kuglom, ako ne i brže. I hajde se sad snađite u tom sumornom tsunamiju podataka, dijelom točnih, dijelom netočnih.
Kako nismo svi studirali mikrobiologiju i epidemiologiju, taj zadatak nije nimalo lagan. Štite li nas maske ili ne? Možemo li se zaraziti preko cipela? Je li istina da je 'korona' namjerno proizvedena u laboratoriju? Čeka li nas što i Italiju?...
S obzirom da je riječ o novoj pošasti za ljudski rod, ni stručnjacima se povremeno nije lako snaći. Evo vam hrvatskog primjera - dvojbe oko sigurnosti šetnje prirodom.
Međutim, za razliku od nehotičnih zabluda, u opticaju su i namjerne, zlobne dezinformacije, za koje su osobito društvene mreže najplodnije tlo.
Kako se uopće snaći? Broj pogrešnih informacija zabrinuo je stručnjake, piše BBC pa su dali naputke kako održati ono što se naziva javnom informativnom higijenom. S obzirom da slušanje pogrešnog savjeta može značiti veću opasnost od zaraze, vjerujemo da je i vama stalo do vaše informativne higijene pa vam prenosimo što navode.
No prije nego što počnemo, evo vam jedan primjer iz Hrvatske. Prije nekoliko dana društvenim se mrežama proširila snimka muškarca koji je navodio kako je iz pouzdanih izvora doznao važne informacije vezane uz uvođenje vrlo strogih mjera sigurnosti.
Snimka je prestrašila brojne građane, a možemo biti sretni što nije dovela do gorih posljedica. Na sreću, vrlo brzo je službeno demantirana. Promislite malo što bi se dogodilo da je izazvala paniku i stampedo u trgovine i da se netko pri tome ozlijedio ili zarazio. O tome mislite svaki put kad dvojite stisnuti 'proslijedi' ili 'obriši'
A sad da vidimo što kažu Britanci.
1. Prvo pravilo - stanite i razmislite
Kad primite neprovjeren savjet, bilo putem maila ili društvenih mreža, može vam pasti napamet da ju proslijediti osobama koje želite zaštititi od pandemije. Stručnjaci, međutim, savjetuju da prije svega trebate napraviti jednu stvar. Stati i razmisliti. Ako vam se informacija učini imalo sumnjivom, nemojte ju prosljeđivati.
2. Problem izvora
Odlučite li se ipak proslijediti informaciju, zapitajte se odakle taj podatak onome tko vam ju je poslao. Ako su izvori 'bakin susjed', 'tatin rođak', 'prijateljev kolega' i tome slično, vjerojatno je riječ o nepouzdanom podatku.
Najpouzdaniji su podaci koji stižu od Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, Stožera civilne zaštite, Zavoda za javno zdravstvo i sličnih institucija. Premda ni njihovi stručnjaci nisu nepogrešivi, podaci koje nam daju daleko su vjerodostojniji od onih koje ćete dobiti od nekog nepoznatog putem WharsAppa.
3. Lažnjaci
Pripazite se lažnjaka jer izgled zna zavarati. Moguće je da se netko zlonamjerno predstavlja kao službena osoba, novinar ili predstavnik vlasti. Pazite se screenshota iz navodnih službenih izvora jer moguće je da se radi o digitalno prepravljenim fotografijama i dokumentima. Nepoklapanje u fontovima slova i linkovi koji ne vode nigdje veliko su zvono na uzbunu...
Kad vam stigne naoko važna informacija, izguglajte pojavljuje li se u relevantnim medijima i na službenim stranicama gore spomenutih organizacija.
4. Miks
Najgore su lažne informacije one koje koriste elemente točnih i općepoznatih informacija - važnost pranja ruku i držanja distance, brzinu širenja virusa u Kini i Italiji... - s pogrešnima. Na takve je najlakše nasjesti. Provjerite svaku informaciju u poruci koja vam je stigla prije nego ju proslijedite.
5. Sumnja
Kad ste sve ovo provjerili, a i dalje niste sigurni je li riječ o autentičnim podacima, nemojte se odlučiti na prosljeđivanje 'za svaki slučaj'.
6. Emocije
Ako je poruka ili informacija koja vam je stigla nabijena emocijama - strahom, bijesom, srećom - tako je kreirana da bi postala viralna. Osobito ako je stvorena tako da širi strah. Strah je kao stvoren za širenje dezinformacija jer čini ljude podložnijima manipulaciji.
Čuvajte se i poruka koje pozivaju na hitnu reakciju i djelovanje, stvaranje nervoze još je jedan od načina za zbuniti onoga kome je poruka poslana. Pazite se i onih koje pobuđuju nadu. 'Uzmite ovaj suplement, nama je pomogao kad smo imali Covid-19' poruka je koju biste trebali zanemariti.
7. Slaganje
Zapitajte se i ovo: dijelite li tu informaciju zato što znate da je točna ili zato što se s njom slažate? Veća je vjerojatnost da ćemo proširiti informaciju s kojom se slažemo. To nam je u prirodi. Oni koji namjerno šire informacije s tim su itekako upoznati.
8. Nemojte postati izvor
I na kraju: uzmite u obzir i da sve informacije, fotografije i snimke koje šaljete, bile točne ili ne, mogu naknadno biti izvučene iz konteksta i iskorištene za namjerno stvaranje lažnih informacija i vijesti.

Koronavirus se proširio medijskim prostorom i društvenim mrežama jednako brzo kao i zemaljskom kuglom, ako ne i brže. I hajde se sad snađite u tom sumornom tsunamiju podataka, dijelom točnih, dijelom netočnih.
Kako nismo svi studirali mikrobiologiju i epidemiologiju, taj zadatak nije nimalo lagan. Štite li nas maske ili ne? Možemo li se zaraziti preko cipela? Je li istina da je 'korona' namjerno proizvedena u laboratoriju? Čeka li nas što i Italiju?...
S obzirom da je riječ o novoj pošasti za ljudski rod, ni stručnjacima se povremeno nije lako snaći. Evo vam hrvatskog primjera - dvojbe oko sigurnosti šetnje prirodom.
Međutim, za razliku od nehotičnih zabluda, u opticaju su i namjerne, zlobne dezinformacije, za koje su osobito društvene mreže najplodnije tlo.
Kako se uopće snaći? Broj pogrešnih informacija zabrinuo je stručnjake, piše BBC pa su dali naputke kako održati ono što se naziva javnom informativnom higijenom. S obzirom da slušanje pogrešnog savjeta može značiti veću opasnost od zaraze, vjerujemo da je i vama stalo do vaše informativne higijene pa vam prenosimo što navode.
No prije nego što počnemo, evo vam jedan primjer iz Hrvatske. Prije nekoliko dana društvenim se mrežama proširila snimka muškarca koji je navodio kako je iz pouzdanih izvora doznao važne informacije vezane uz uvođenje vrlo strogih mjera sigurnosti.
Snimka je prestrašila brojne građane, a možemo biti sretni što nije dovela do gorih posljedica. Na sreću, vrlo brzo je službeno demantirana. Promislite malo što bi se dogodilo da je izazvala paniku i stampedo u trgovine i da se netko pri tome ozlijedio ili zarazio. O tome mislite svaki put kad dvojite stisnuti 'proslijedi' ili 'obriši'
A sad da vidimo što kažu Britanci.
1. Prvo pravilo - stanite i razmislite
Kad primite neprovjeren savjet, bilo putem maila ili društvenih mreža, može vam pasti napamet da ju proslijediti osobama koje želite zaštititi od pandemije. Stručnjaci, međutim, savjetuju da prije svega trebate napraviti jednu stvar. Stati i razmisliti. Ako vam se informacija učini imalo sumnjivom, nemojte ju prosljeđivati.
2. Problem izvora
Odlučite li se ipak proslijediti informaciju, zapitajte se odakle taj podatak onome tko vam ju je poslao. Ako su izvori 'bakin susjed', 'tatin rođak', 'prijateljev kolega' i tome slično, vjerojatno je riječ o nepouzdanom podatku.
Najpouzdaniji su podaci koji stižu od Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, Stožera civilne zaštite, Zavoda za javno zdravstvo i sličnih institucija. Premda ni njihovi stručnjaci nisu nepogrešivi, podaci koje nam daju daleko su vjerodostojniji od onih koje ćete dobiti od nekog nepoznatog putem WharsAppa.
3. Lažnjaci
Pripazite se lažnjaka jer izgled zna zavarati. Moguće je da se netko zlonamjerno predstavlja kao službena osoba, novinar ili predstavnik vlasti. Pazite se screenshota iz navodnih službenih izvora jer moguće je da se radi o digitalno prepravljenim fotografijama i dokumentima. Nepoklapanje u fontovima slova i linkovi koji ne vode nigdje veliko su zvono na uzbunu...
Kad vam stigne naoko važna informacija, izguglajte pojavljuje li se u relevantnim medijima i na službenim stranicama gore spomenutih organizacija.
4. Miks
Najgore su lažne informacije one koje koriste elemente točnih i općepoznatih informacija - važnost pranja ruku i držanja distance, brzinu širenja virusa u Kini i Italiji... - s pogrešnima. Čuvajte se i poruka koje pozivaju na hitnu reakciju i djelovanje, stvaranje nervoze još je jedan od načina za zbuniti onoga kome je poruka poslana. Pazite se i onih koje pobuđuju nadu. 'Uzmite ovaj suplement, nama je pomogao kad smo imali Covid-19' poruka je koju biste trebali zanemariti.
7. Slaganje
Zapitajte se i ovo: dijelite li tu informaciju zato što znate da je točna ili zato što se s njom slažate? Veća je vjerojatnost da ćemo proširiti informaciju s kojom se slažemo. To nam je u prirodi. Oni koji namjerno šire informacije s tim su itekako upoznati.
8. Nemojte postati izvor
I na kraju: uzmite u obzir i da sve informacije, fotografije i snimke koje šaljete, bile točne ili ne, mogu naknadno biti izvučene iz konteksta i iskorištene za namjerno stvaranje lažnih informacija i vijesti.
