Predsjednik Zoran Milanović rekao je u srijedu da je problem Hrvatske što je "na vanjskom braniku šengenske zone", a još nije članica tog prostora i prozvao EU za odugovlačenje. 

"To se odugovlači, a od Hrvatske se očekuje da se ponaša kao da igra među prve četiri momčadi Serie A ili Premiershipa", rekao je Milanović nakon susreta s malteškim predsjednikom Georgeom Vellom. 

Osim o jačanju suradnje, predsjednici su razgovarali o vanjskopolitičkim temama, uključujući igracije koje su se ponovno aktualizirale krizom u Afganistanu. 

Milanović smatra da je Hrvatska zbog svog položaja u nepovoljnoj situaciji. "Ako hrvatska policija ne čuva granicu, onda je Hrvatska nepouzdana, lijena, ne radi svoj posao. Hrvatska policija radi svoj posao i katkad pogriješi, katkad prekorači ovlasti, onda je to nešto zbog čega jedan dio Europe u Hrvatsku upire prstom", rekao je hrvatski predsjednik koji to smatra nepoštenim. 

Milanović je pozvao Maltu da podrži ulazak najmlađe članice EU-a u šengenski prostor, a Uniju prozvao za "prokrastinaciju i odugovlačenje".

Rumunjska i Bugarska, članice EU-a od 2007., također čekaju zeleno svjetlo za ulazak u europski prostor bez graničnih kontrola.

Vella je rekao da je pitanje migracija "veliki izazov za EU", no ne očekuje konsenzus svih 27 članica bloka.

Rekavši da je njegova malena zemlja zasićena migrantima, kao jedino rješenje vidi proporcionalnu raspodjelu migranata i izbjeglica među državama članicama koje su spremne na to.

"Pokušavamo pronaći zemlje, 20, 22, koliko god, koje će biti voljne raditi zajedno i pokušati provesti sustav raspodjele (migranata)", rekao je Vella.  

Milanović mu je rekao da se divi njegovoj zemlji jer je "u stanju zrelo, hladno i humano promišljati" o migracijama "koje se direktno dotiču Malte i njezinog identiteta i sigurnosti, dok u nekim srednjoeuropskim državama samo što nisu počeli naoružavati stanovnike da se obračunaju s muslimanima". 

Ovo je drugi susret predsjednika mediteranskih zemalja u nekoliko tjedana, a Vella je rekao da to potvrđuje "fantastičan odnos i prijateljstvo koje se godinama razvija između dva naroda".

Proširenje EU-a: blok "kupuje vrijeme, a godine prolaze"

Dvojica predsjednika razgovarala su o zemljama jugoistočne Europe i njihovom putu prema Uniji. 

Vella je rekao da je Malta uvijek podržavala ulazak Zapadnog Balkana u EU. No upozorio da je to "dug proces koji će zahtijevati žrtve", ali vjeruje da ima volje s obje strane i da tim zemljama mogu pomoći Hrvatska i Slovenija pod čijim je predsjedništvom Vijeća EU-a nedavno održan samit Unije i Zapadnog Balkana. Tim zemljama je ponovno potvrđena perspektiva članstva, ali nisu dobile vremenski rok. 

"Ne bih volio da se ovo pretvori u neku prokrastinaciju, odugovlačenje, ali bojim se da puno toga ukazuje da EU ima takvu politiku zato što je ustvari nema. Samo kupuje vrijeme, a godine prolaze", rekao je Milanović.

"Ili su izbori ovdje ili su ondje, dakle strah vodećih političara mainstreama od biračkog tijela desnice i konkurencije zdesna (...) onda još države u kojima ima i islamskog stanovništva što je jedna od predrasuda o kojima moram govoriti", smatra Milanović samo nekim razlozima zašto EU jasno ne govori što želi. 

Hrvatski predsjednik je rekao da "želi stabilnijeg susjeda" i da se u kontekstu Zapadnog Balkana treba govoriti o stabilnosti, predvidivosti, sigurnosti te novcu. 

"To su temeljito osiromašene države, neke su čak možda malo napredovale kao Kosovo i Albanija, ali BiH pa i Srbija su u odnosu na ono što su nekad bile i mogle biti, kad se uračuna taj grozni oportunitetni trošak onoga što se nije ostvarilo, a inače bi se ostvarilo, te države se vraćaju na početak i onda još malo natrag", rekao je Milanović.

Malteški predsjednik, koji boravi u višednevnom posjetu Hrvatskoj, sastat će se s premijerom Andrejem Plenkovićem i s predsjednikom Hrvatskoga sabora Gordanom Jandrokovićem te posjetiti Varaždin.

Predsjednik Zoran Milanović rekao je u srijedu da je problem Hrvatske što je "na vanjskom braniku šengenske zone", a još nije članica tog prostora i prozvao EU za odugovlačenje. 

"To se odugovlači, a od Hrvatske se očekuje da se ponaša kao da igra među prve četiri momčadi Serie A ili Premiershipa", rekao je Milanović nakon susreta s malteškim predsjednikom Georgeom Vellom. 

Osim o jačanju suradnje, predsjednici su razgovarali o vanjskopolitičkim temama, uključujući igracije koje su se ponovno aktualizirale krizom u Afganistanu. 

Milanović smatra da je Hrvatska zbog svog položaja u nepovoljnoj situaciji. "Ako hrvatska policija ne čuva granicu, onda je Hrvatska nepouzdana, lijena, ne radi svoj posao. Hrvatska policija radi svoj posao i katkad pogriješi, katkad prekorači ovlasti, onda je to nešto zbog čega jedan dio Europe u Hrvatsku upire prstom", rekao je hrvatski predsjednik koji to smatra nepoštenim. 

Milanović je pozvao Maltu da podrži ulazak najmlađe članice EU-a u šengenski prostor, a Uniju prozvao za "prokrastinaciju i odugovlačenje".

Rumunjska i Bugarska, članice EU-a od 2007., također čekaju zeleno svjetlo za ulazak u europski prostor bez graničnih kontrola.

Vella je rekao da je pitanje migracija "veliki izazov za EU", no ne očekuje konsenzus svih 27 članica bloka.

Rekavši da je njegova malena zemlja zasićena migrantima, kao jedino rješenje vidi proporcionalnu raspodjelu migranata i izbjeglica među državama članicama koje su spremne na to.

"Pokušavamo pronaći zemlje, 20, 22, koliko god, koje će biti voljne raditi zajedno i pokušati provesti sustav raspodjele (migranata)", rekao je Vella.  

Milanović mu je rekao da se divi njegovoj zemlji jer je "u stanju zrelo, hladno i humano promišljati" o migracijama "koje se direktno dotiču Malte i njezinog identiteta i sigurnosti, dok u nekim srednjoeuropskim državama samo što nisu počeli naoružavati stanovnike da se obračunaju s muslimanima". 

Ovo je drugi susret predsjednika mediteranskih zemalja u nekoliko tjedana, a Vella je rekao da to potvrđuje "fantastičan odnos i prijateljstvo koje se godinama razvija između dva naroda".

Proširenje EU-a: blok "kupuje vrijeme, a godine prolaze"

Dvojica predsjednika razgovarala su o zemljama jugoistočne Europe i njihovom putu prema Uniji. 

Vella je rekao da je Malta uvijek podržavala ulazak Zapadnog Balkana u EU. No upozorio da je to "dug proces koji će zahtijevati žrtve", ali vjeruje da ima volje s obje strane i da tim zemljama mogu pomoći Hrvatska i Slovenija pod čijim je predsjedništvom Vijeća EU-a nedavno održan samit Unije i Zapadnog Balkana. Tim zemljama je ponovno potvrđena perspektiva članstva, ali nisu dobile vremenski rok. 

"Ne bih volio da se ovo pretvori u neku prokrastinaciju, odugovlačenje, ali bojim se da puno toga ukazuje da EU ima takvu politiku zato što je ustvari nema. Samo kupuje vrijeme, a godine prolaze", rekao je Milanović.

"Ili su izbori ovdje ili su ondje, dakle strah vodećih političara mainstreama od biračkog tijela desnice i konkurencije zdesna (...) onda još države u kojima ima i islamskog stanovništva što je jedna od predrasuda o kojima moram govoriti", smatra Milanović samo nekim razlozima zašto EU jasno ne govori što želi. 

Hrvatski predsjednik je rekao da "želi stabilnijeg susjeda" i da se u kontekstu Zapadnog Balkana treba govoriti o stabilnosti, predvidivosti, sigurnosti te novcu. 

"To su temeljito osiromašene države, neke su čak možda malo napredovale kao Kosovo i Albanija, ali BiH pa i Srbija su u odnosu na ono što su nekad bile i mogle biti, kad se uračuna taj grozni oportunitetni trošak onoga što se nije ostvarilo, a inače bi se ostvarilo, te države se vraćaju na početak i onda još malo natrag", rekao je Milanović.

Malteški predsjednik, koji boravi u višednevnom posjetu Hrvatskoj, sastat će se s premijerom Andrejem Plenkovićem i s predsjednikom Hrvatskoga sabora Gordanom Jandrokovićem te posjetiti Varaždin.

Predsjednik Zoran Milanović rekao je u srijedu da je problem Hrvatske što je "na vanjskom braniku šengenske zone", a još nije članica tog prostora i prozvao EU za odugovlačenje. 

"To se odugovlači, a od Hrvatske se očekuje da se ponaša kao da igra među prve četiri momčadi Serie A ili Premiershipa", rekao je Milanović nakon susreta s malteškim predsjednikom Georgeom Vellom. 

Osim o jačanju suradnje, predsjednici su razgovarali o vanjskopolitičkim temama, uključujući igracije koje su se ponovno aktualizirale krizom u Afganistanu. 

Milanović smatra da je Hrvatska zbog svog položaja u nepovoljnoj situaciji. "Ako hrvatska policija ne čuva granicu, onda je Hrvatska nepouzdana, lijena, ne radi svoj posao. Hrvatska policija radi svoj posao i katkad pogriješi, katkad prekorač...
