Albanija je prihvatila američki zahtjev za privremeno prihvaćanje afganistanskih izbjeglica koje traže vize za ulazak u Sjedinjene Američke Države, rekao je premijer Edi Rama u nedjelu, dok talibani ulaze u prijestolnicu Kabul.

Rama je rekao da je administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena nedavno zatražila od Albanije da procijeni može li biti tranzitna zemlja za brojne afganistanske izbjeglice, čije je konačno odredište SAD.

"Nećemo reći: 'ne'. Ne samo zato što naši veliki saveznici traže to od nas, već zato što smo Albanija", napisao je Rama na Facebooku.

Reuters je objavio ovoga tjedna, pozivajući se na svoje izvore, da je Bidenova administracija vodila razgovore s Kosovom i Albanijom o pružanju zaštite Afganistancima koji bježe od talibana, dok se ne završi proces odobrenja vize za ulazak u SAD.

Kosovska vlada za sada nije komentirala te navode.

Albanija je 2014. primila 3 tisuće pripadnika iranske organizacije Narodni mudžahedini koja se bori protiv vlasti u Teheranu. Oni su smješteni u kampu u Draču, najvećoj albanskoj luci.

Albanija je prihvatila američki zahtjev za privremeno prihvaćanje afganistanskih izbjeglica koje traže vize za ulazak u Sjedinjene Američke Države, rekao je premijer Edi Rama u nedjelu, dok talibani ulaze u prijestolnicu Kabul.

Rama je rekao da je administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena nedavno zatražila od Albanije da procijeni može li biti tranzitna zemlja za brojne afganistanske izbjeglice, čije je konačno odredište SAD.

"Nećemo reći: 'ne'. Ne samo zato što naši veliki saveznici traže to od nas, već zato što smo Albanija", napisao je Rama na Facebooku.

Reuters je objavio ovoga tjedna, pozivajući se na svoje izvore, da je Bidenova administracija vodila razgovore s Kosovom i Albanijom o pružanju zaštite Afganistancima koji bježe od talibana, dok se ne završi proces odobrenja vize za ulazak u SAD.

Kosovska vlada za sada nije komentirala te navode.

Albanija je 2014. primila 3 tisuće pripadnika iranske organizacije Narodni mudžahedini koja se bori protiv vlasti u Teheranu. Oni su smješteni u kampu u Draču, najvećoj albanskoj luci.

Albanija je prihvatila američki zahtjev za privremeno prihvaćanje afganistanskih izbjeglica koje traže vize za ulazak u Sjedinjene Američke Države, rekao je premijer Edi Rama u nedjelu, dok talibani ulaze u prijestolnicu Kabul.

Rama je rekao da je administracija američkog predsjednika Joea Bidena nedavno zatražila od Albanije da procijeni može li biti tranzitna zemlja za brojne afganistanske izbjeglice, čije je konačno odredište SAD.

"Nećemo reći: 'ne'. Ne samo zato što naši veliki saveznici traže to od nas, već zato što smo Albanija", napisao je Rama na Facebooku.
