Samo dan nakon što je u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama registrirana prva smrt od posljedica koronavirusa, braća Matt i Noah Colvin iz Chattanooge u državi Tennessee, sa srebrnim terencem su krenuli u nabavku sredstava za dezinfekciju.

Kako piše The New York Times, posjetili su nekoliko trgovačkih lanaca: Dollar Tree, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot i u svakoj od spomenutih trgovina ispraznili su police na kojima su bili izloženi danas najtraženiji proizvodi.

Tijekom sljedeća tri dana, Noah Colvin putovao je 1300 kilometara preko Tennesseeja i Kentuckyja, napunivši kamion s tisućama boca dezinficijensa i tisućama paketa antibakterijskih maramica.

Njegov brat je ostao kod kuće pripremajući se za skladištenje paleta maramica i sredstava za dezinfekciju te ih je počeo prodavati na stranicama internetske trgovine Amazon.

Matt Colvin je rekao da je na tom “web shopu” ponudio 300 boca gela za dezinfekciju ruku i odmah ih prodao za cijenu od osam i 70 dolara, što je višestruko više od cijena po kojoj ih je kupio. Za njega je to bio "ludi novac”, a mnogi su takav postupak protumačili kao profitiranje na pandemiji.

Sljedećeg dana Amazon je povukao svoje predmete i tisuće drugih ponuđenih gelova za dezinfekciju, maramica i zaštitnih maski za lice. Tvrtka je suspendirala neke od prodavača iza oglasa i upozorila mnoge druge da će, ako nastave rasti cijene, ugasiti njihove račune na Amazonu.

EBay je ubrzo slijedio još strože mjere, zabranivši u SAD-u bilo kakvu prodaju zaštitnih maski ili sredstava za dezinfekciju. Tako dok milijuni ljudi diljem Amerike uzalud traže sredstva za dezinfekciju ruku kako bi se zaštitili od širenja koronavirusa, gospodin Colvin sjedi na 17.700 boca bez puno ideja gdje bi ih mogao prodati.

"Bio je to hladan tuš za nas", rekao je. "Od situacije u kojoj sam uspio osmisliti financijsku injekciju za vlastitu obitelj došao sam u situaciju da ne zna što sad da radim sa svim ovim".

No, gospodin Colvin je vjerojatno jedan od tisuće prodavača koji su nakupili zalihe sredstava za dezinfekciju ruku i zaštitnih maski za lice.

Iz Amazona su za The New York Times rekli da su nedavno uklonili stotine tisuća unosa i obustavili račune tisuća prodavača zbog promjene cijena povezanih s koronavirusom. Amazon, eBay, Walmart i druge platforme za internetsku trgovinu pokušavaju spriječiti svoje prodavače da pretjerano profitiraju od javnozdravstvene krize.

Tvrtke su također imale za cilj obeshrabriti ljude da gomilaju zalihe tih proizvoda i preprodaju ih povisujući im cijene, tako što su mnogi lanci ispraznili police svojih trgovina te su navedenu robu počeli prodavati putem interneta.

Samo dan nakon što je u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama registrirana prva smrt od posljedica koronavirusa, braća Matt i Noah Colvin iz Chattanooge u državi Tennessee, sa srebrnim terencem su krenuli u nabavku sredstava za dezinfekciju.

Kako piše The New York Times, posjetili su nekoliko trgovačkih lanaca: Dollar Tree, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot i u svakoj od spomenutih trgovina ispraznili su police na kojima su bili izloženi danas najtraženiji proizvodi.

Tijekom sljedeća tri dana, Noah Colvin putovao je 1300 kilometara preko Tennesseeja i Kentuckyja, napunivši kamion s tisućama boca dezinficijensa i tisućama paketa antibakterijskih maramica.

Njegov brat je ostao kod kuće pripremajući se za skladištenje paleta maramica i sredstava za dezinfekciju te ih je počeo prodavati na stranicama internetske trgovine Amazon.

Matt Colvin je rekao da je na tom “web shopu” ponudio 300 boca gela za dezinfekciju ruku i odmah ih prodao za cijenu od osam i 70 dolara, što je višestruko više od cijena po kojoj ih je kupio. Za njega je to bio "ludi novac”, a mnogi su takav postupak protumačili kao profitiranje na pandemiji.

Sljedećeg dana Amazon je povukao svoje predmete i tisuće drugih ponuđenih gelova za dezinfekciju, maramica i zaštitnih maski za lice. Tvrtka je suspendirala neke od prodavača iza oglasa i upozorila mnoge druge da će, ako nastave rasti cijene, ugasiti njihove račune na Amazonu.

EBay je ubrzo slijedio još strože mjere, zabranivši u SAD-u bilo kakvu prodaju zaštitnih maski ili sredstava za dezinfekciju. Tako dok milijuni ljudi diljem Amerike uzalud traže sredstva za dezinfekciju ruku kako bi se zaštitili od širenja koronavirusa, gospodin Colvin sjedi na 17.700 boca bez puno ideja gdje bi ih mogao prodati.

"Bio je to hladan tuš za nas", rekao je. "Od situacije u kojoj sam uspio osmisliti financijsku injekciju za vlastitu obitelj došao sam u situaciju da ne zna što sad da radim sa svim ovim".

No, gospodin Colvin je vjerojatno jedan od tisuće prodavača koji su nakupili zalihe sredstava za dezinfekciju ruku i zaštitnih maski za lice.

Iz Amazona su za The New York Times rekli da su nedavno uklonili stotine tisuća unosa i obustavili račune tisuća prodavača zbog promjene cijena povezanih s koronavirusom. Amazon, eBay, Walmart i druge platforme za internetsku trgovinu pokušavaju spriječiti svoje prodavače da pretjerano profitiraju od javnozdravstvene krize.

Tvrtke su također imale za cilj obeshrabriti ljude da gomilaju zalihe tih proizvoda i preprodaju ih povisujući im cijene, tako što su mnogi lanci ispraznili police svojih trgovina te su navedenu robu počeli prodavati putem interneta.

Samo dan nakon što je u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama registrirana prva smrt od posljedica koronavirusa, braća Matt i Noah Colvin iz Chattanooge u državi Tennessee, sa srebrnim terencem su krenuli u nabavku sredstava za dezinfekciju.

Kako piše The New York Times, posjetili su nekoliko trgovačkih lanaca: Dollar Tree, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot i u svakoj od spomenutih trgovina ispraznili su police na kojima su bili izloženi danas najtraženiji proizvodi.

Tijekom sljedeća tri dana, Noah Colvin putovao je 1300 kilometara preko Tennesseeja i Kentuckyja, napunivši kamion s tisućama boca dezinficijensa i tisućama paketa antibakterijskih maramica.
