I prije početka izraelskoga napada na Gazu pisalo se o mreži Hamasovih tunela. Njih se spominje i sada kao mjesto vjerojatnoga skrivanja taoca.

U nedavnom tekstu Wall Street Journala navodi se da bi Izrael mogao uliti velike količine morske vode u mrežu tunela ispod Gaze u pokušaju istjerivanja Hamasovih boraca na površinu. Međutim, takav potez mogao bi uzrokovati neočekivane i jako opasne rizike.

U razgovoru za Sky News vojni analitičar profesor Michael Clarke rekao je da se to može učiniti i da bi bilo učinkovito.

Odmah potom je upozorio na rizike: "Izraelska vojska ne zna drže li se tu taoci ili ne", rekao je Clarke sugerirajući da bi time mogli ugroziti živote preostalih talaca koje drži Hamas.

Drugi rizik, rekao je, bio bi zagađenje podzemnih filtera koji služe za opskrbljivanje Pojasa Gaze pitkom vodom.

"To bi bio vandalizam prema okolišu zbog kojega svijet ne bi gledao blagonaklono prema Izraelu", dodao je Clarke, prenosi N1 BiH.

Međutim, druga mogućnost je da Izrael uopće ne namjerava poplaviti tunele već samo "pustiti da priča izađe u javnost" što bi, prema profesorovim riječima, "istjeralo Hamas iz tunela riječima, a ne vodom".

I prije početka izraelskoga napada na Gazu pisalo se o mreži Hamasovih tunela. Njih se spominje i sada kao mjesto vjerojatnoga skrivanja taoca.

U nedavnom tekstu Wall Street Journala navodi se da bi Izrael mogao uliti velike količine morske vode u mrežu tunela ispod Gaze u pokušaju istjerivanja Hamasovih boraca na površinu. Međutim, takav potez mogao bi uzrokovati neočekivane i jako opasne rizike.

U razgovoru za Sky News vojni analitičar profesor Michael Clarke rekao je da se to može učiniti i da bi bilo učinkovito.

Odmah potom je upozorio na rizike: "Izraelska vojska ne zna drže li se tu taoci ili ne", rekao je Clarke sugerirajući da bi time mogli ugroziti živote preostalih talaca koje drži Hamas.

Drugi rizik, rekao je, bio bi zagađenje podzemnih filtera koji služe za opskrbljivanje Pojasa Gaze pitkom vodom.

"To bi bio vandalizam prema okolišu zbog kojega svijet ne bi gledao blagonaklono prema Izraelu", dodao je Clarke, prenosi N1 BiH.

Međutim, druga mogućnost je da Izrael uopće ne namjerava poplaviti tunele već samo "pustiti da priča izađe u javnost" što bi, prema profesorovim riječima, "istjeralo Hamas iz tunela riječima, a ne vodom".
