Katolička crkva treba razmisliti o ukidanju obaveznog celibata za svećenike, rekao je muenchenski nadbiskup kardinal Reinhard Marx za dnevni list Suddeutsche Zeitung.

''Bilo bi bolje za sve da imamo obje mogućnosti, odnosno da imamo svećenike u celibatu i oženjene svećenike'', poručio je kardinal Marx čiji su prijedlozi objavljeni u današnjem izdanju spomenutih novina.

''Za neke bi svećenike bilo bolje da su oženjeni. Ne radi se tu samo o razlozima seksualne prirode. Njihov bi život bio obogaćen i ne bi se više osjećali usamljenima. Svakako vrijedi raspravljati o tome.''

Marx, inače nadbiskup za područje Munchena i Freisinga, zatražio je nedavno objavljeno izvješće koje govori o slučajevima u kojima Crkva nije poduzela nikakve pravne korake protiv svećenika optuženih za seksualno zlostavljanje, uključujući i slučaj u koji je upleten umirovljeni papa Benedikt XVI.

I sam Marx je optužen za seksualne prijestupe u istom tom izvješću. Prošle je godine ponudio ostavku nazvavši Crkvu ''mrtvom''. No, Vatikan je nije prihvatio. Od tada, Marx je nekoliko puta pozvao na reforme unutar Crkve.

Nitko neće u svećenike

Katolički svećenici obvezni su pridržavati se celibata, no to je pravilo došlo u pitanje nakon što su u nizu zemalja otkriveni skandali o seksualnom zlostavljanju od svećenika. Osim toga, zbog pravila celibata sve je manji interes za svećeničkim pozivom. Većinu svećenika čine stariji muškarci uz tek manjinu mladih svećenika koji su se odlučili za ovu profesiju.

Marx ipak ne želi život u celibatu povezati sa slučajevima zlostavljanja.

''Ovakav način života u kojem se muškarci odvajaju u zasebne skupine može privući one kojima nedostaje zrelosti'', rekao je. ''Ali i seksualnost je dio ljudske prirode. Katolička moralnost dovela je do mnogih suviše rigoroznih pravila'', dodaje Marx.

Međutim na pitanje o ženama na mjestu svećenika nije htio odgovoriti. Samo je kazao da se o toj temi razgovara unutar crkvenih redova.

''Ja nisam samo osoba koja ima svoje mišljenje. Moram pomoći svojoj organizaciji da se drži zajedno.''

U četvrtak je u Frankfurtu počiela zadnja u nizu konferencija koje nastoje reformirati Katoličku crkvu u Njemačkoj. Konferencija pod nazivom ''Sinodalni put'' trebala bi obuhvatiti četiri teme – mjesto žena u crkvi, poziciju moći, katoličku seksualnu moralnost i celibat svećenika.

Katolička crkva treba razmisliti o ukidanju obaveznog celibata za svećenike, rekao je muenchenski nadbiskup kardinal Reinhard Marx za dnevni list Suddeutsche Zeitung.

''Bilo bi bolje za sve da imamo obje mogućnosti, odnosno da imamo svećenike u celibatu i oženjene svećenike'', poručio je kardinal Marx čiji su prijedlozi objavljeni u današnjem izdanju spomenutih novina.

''Za neke bi svećenike bilo bolje da su oženjeni. Ne radi se tu samo o razlozima seksualne prirode. Njihov bi život bio obogaćen i ne bi se više osjećali usamljenima. Svakako vrijedi raspravljati o tome.''

Marx, inače nadbiskup za područje Munchena i Freisinga, zatražio je nedavno objavljeno izvješće koje govori o slučajevima u kojima Crkva nije poduzela nikakve pravne korake protiv svećenika optuženih za seksualno zlostavljanje, uključujući i slučaj u koji je upleten umirovljeni papa Benedikt XVI.

I sam Marx je optužen za seksualne prijestupe u istom tom izvješću. Prošle je godine ponudio ostavku nazvavši Crkvu ''mrtvom''. No, Vatikan je nije prihvatio. Od tada, Marx je nekoliko puta pozvao na reforme unutar Crkve.

Nitko neće u svećenike

Katolički svećenici obvezni su pridržavati se celibata, no to je pravilo došlo u pitanje nakon što su u nizu zemalja otkriveni skandali o seksualnom zlostavljanju od svećenika. Osim toga, zbog pravila celibata sve je manji interes za svećeničkim pozivom. Većinu svećenika čine stariji muškarci uz tek manjinu mladih svećenika koji su se odlučili za ovu profesiju.

Marx ipak ne želi život u celibatu povezati sa slučajevima zlostavljanja.

''Ovakav način života u kojem se muškarci odvajaju u zasebne skupine može privući one kojima nedostaje zrelosti'', rekao je. ''Ali i seksualnost je dio ljudske prirode. Katolička moralnost dovela je do mnogih suviše rigoroznih pravila'', dodaje Marx.

Međutim na pitanje o ženama na mjestu svećenika nije htio odgovoriti. Samo je kazao da se o toj temi razgovara unutar crkvenih redova.

''Ja nisam samo osoba koja ima svoje mišljenje. Moram pomoći svojoj organizaciji da se drži zajedno.''

U četvrtak je u Frankfurtu počiela zadnja u nizu konferencija koje nastoje reformirati Katoličku crkvu u Njemačkoj. Konferencija pod nazivom ''Sinodalni put'' trebala bi obuhvatiti četiri teme – mjesto žena u crkvi, poziciju moći, katoličku seksualnu moralnost i celibat svećenika.
