"Platili smo skupi hotel s pogledom na Eiffelov toranj. Htjeli smo gledati Pariz kako svjetli ali mislim da se to neće dogoditi. Plakat ću", govori Christina David za britanski Telegraph.
"Frustrirani smo, ljuti, tužni, bilo je puno ljudi koji su plakali. Ne znamo kamo da idemo, nemamo gdje ostati", priča.
U međuvremenu, Eurostar se ispričao korisnicima zbog otkazivanja daljnjih 15 vlakova.
Željeznička tvrtka obavijestila je putnike priopćenjem u kojem stoji: "Eurostar je nažalost morao otkazati daljnjih 15 vlakova za i iz Londona jer se situacija nije popravila zbog poplava u tunelima između St Pancras Internationala i Ebbsfleeta. Činimo sve što možemo!"

Poplava je prvi put otkrivena u tunelu u petak navečer što je dovelo do odgode nekih usluga. Dužnosnici su navodno tek u 4 ujutro odlučili spriječiti vožnju vlakova. Mnogi su se putnici obrušili na željezničkog operatera zbog navodno loše komunikacije oko toga hoće li vlakovi doista voziti ili ne. Neki su pokušali ostati optimistični da će njihov vlak voziti prije nego što je željeznički operater prije koji sat potvrdio da nijedna linija danas neće biti uspostavljena.
Valja napomenuti da sve ovo dolazi u trenutku kada prognostičari upozoravaju na potencijalne poremećaje putovanja diljem Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva tijekom posljednjeg vikenda u godini zbog jakih vjetrova i snijega. Temperature bi mogle pasti i na -9 stupnjeva Celzijeva.

"Platili smo skupi hotel s pogledom na Eiffelov toranj. Htjeli smo gledati Pariz kako svjetli ali mislim da se to neće dogoditi. Plakat ću", govori Christina David za britanski Telegraph.
"Frustrirani smo, ljuti, tužni, bilo je puno ljudi koji su plakali. Ne znamo kamo da idemo, nemamo gdje ostati", priča.
U međuvremenu, Eurostar se ispričao korisnicima zbog otkazivanja daljnjih 15 vlakova.
Željeznička tvrtka obavijestila je putnike priopćenjem u kojem stoji: "Eurostar je nažalost morao otkazati daljnjih 15 vlakova za i iz Londona jer se situacija nije popravila zbog poplava u tunelima između St Pancras Internationala i Ebbsfleeta. Činimo sve što možemo!"

Poplava je prvi put otkrivena u tunelu u petak navečer što je dovelo do odgode nekih usluga. Dužnosnici su navodno tek u 4 ujutro odlučili spriječiti vožnju vlakova. Mnogi su se putnici obrušili na željezničkog operatera zbog navodno loše komunikacije oko toga hoće li vlakovi doista voziti ili ne. Neki su pokušali ostati optimistični da će njihov vlak voziti prije nego što je željeznički operater prije koji sat potvrdio da nijedna linija danas neće biti uspostavljena.
Valja napomenuti da sve ovo dolazi u trenutku kada prognostičari upozoravaju na potencijalne poremećaje putovanja diljem Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva tijekom posljednjeg vikenda u godini zbog jakih vjetrova i snijega. Temperature bi mogle pasti i na -9 stupnjeva Celzijeva.
