Bivši policajac iz Minneapolisa Tou Thao u ponedjeljak je osuđen na četiri godine i devet mjeseci zatvora zbog pomaganja i poticanja na ubojstvo Georgea Floyda, crnca kojem je drugi policajac prilikom uhićenja klečao na vratu 2020.

"Nadao sam se da ćete pokazati malo više kajanja, žaljenja, priznanja odgovornosti", rekao je sudac okruga Hennepin, Peter Cahillbefore, pri izricanju presude.

Kazna se dodaje na tri i pol godine koje je Thao prethodno dobio na temelju savezne optužbe za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava.

Thao, devetogodišnji veteran policijskih snaga, četvrti je i posljednji policajac optužen za ubojstvo.

Derek Chauvin, bijeli policajac koji je snimljen kako kleči na vratu Georgea Floyda više od devet minuta 25. svibnja 2020., proglašen je krivim za ubojstvo 2021.

Thao je zadržavao malu gomilu prolaznika dok su Chauvin i druga dva policajca svladavala Floyda, za kojeg je policija sumnjala da je u obližnjoj trgovini iskoristio krivotvorenu novčanicu od 20 dolara.

Ubojstvo je pokrenulo val prosvjeda protiv rasizma i policijske brutalnosti u SAD-u i diljem svijeta.

Druga dva policajca, Thomas Lane i J- Alexander Kueng, su držali Floydova koljena i stražnjicu dok mu je Chauvin klečao na vratu. Lane i Keung prošle godine su se izjasnili krivima na državnom sudu za pomaganje i poticanje ubojstva drugog stupnja. Lane je osuđena na tri i pol, a Kueng na tri godine zatvora.

Na saveznom suđenju prošle godine, Kueng i Lane su proglašeni krivima za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava. Lane je dobio dvije i pol, a Kueng tri godine u saveznom zatvoru, što će se dodati prethodnim kaznama.

Chauvin je osuđen na 22 i pol godine državnog zatvora za nenamjerno ubojstvo drugog stupnja. Prošle godine je za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava osuđen na 21 godinu zatvora koja će se pridodati kazni za ubojstvo.

Bivši policajac iz Minneapolisa Tou Thao u ponedjeljak je osuđen na četiri godine i devet mjeseci zatvora zbog pomaganja i poticanja na ubojstvo Georgea Floyda, crnca kojem je drugi policajac prilikom uhićenja klečao na vratu 2020.

"Nadao sam se da ćete pokazati malo više kajanja, žaljenja, priznanja odgovornosti", rekao je sudac okruga Hennepin, Peter Cahillbefore, pri izricanju presude.

Kazna se dodaje na tri i pol godine koje je Thao prethodno dobio na temelju savezne optužbe za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava.

Thao, devetogodišnji veteran policijskih snaga, četvrti je i posljednji policajac optužen za ubojstvo.

Derek Chauvin, bijeli policajac koji je snimljen kako kleči na vratu Georgea Floyda više od devet minuta 25. svibnja 2020., proglašen je krivim za ubojstvo 2021.

Thao je zadržavao malu gomilu prolaznika dok su Chauvin i druga dva policajca svladavala Floyda, za kojeg je policija sumnjala da je u obližnjoj trgovini iskoristio krivotvorenu novčanicu od 20 dolara.

Ubojstvo je pokrenulo val prosvjeda protiv rasizma i policijske brutalnosti u SAD-u i diljem svijeta.

Druga dva policajca, Thomas Lane i J- Alexander Kueng, su držali Floydova koljena i stražnjicu dok mu je Chauvin klečao na vratu. Lane i Keung prošle godine su se izjasnili krivima na državnom sudu za pomaganje i poticanje ubojstva drugog stupnja. Lane je osuđena na tri i pol, a Kueng na tri godine zatvora.

Na saveznom suđenju prošle godine, Kueng i Lane su proglašeni krivima za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava. Lane je dobio dvije i pol, a Kueng tri godine u saveznom zatvoru, što će se dodati prethodnim kaznama.

Chauvin je osuđen na 22 i pol godine državnog zatvora za nenamjerno ubojstvo drugog stupnja. Prošle godine je za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava osuđen na 21 godinu zatvora koja će se pridodati kazni za ubojstvo.

Osuđen i posljednji policajac koji je sudjelovao u ubojstvu Georgea Floyda

Bivši policajac iz Minneapolisa Tou Thao u ponedjeljak je osuđen na četiri godine i devet mjeseci zatvora zbog pomaganja i poticanja na ubojstvo Georgea Floyda, crnca kojem je drugi policajac prilikom uhićenja klečao na vratu 2020.

"Nadao sam se da ćete pokazati malo više kajanja, žaljenja, priznanja odgovornosti", rekao je sudac okruga Hennepin, Peter Cahillbefore, pri izricanju presude.

Kazna se dodaje na tri i pol godine koje je Thao prethodno dobio na temelju savezne optužbe za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava.

Thao, devetogodišnji veteran policijskih snaga, četvrti je i posljednji policajac optužen za ubojstvo.

Derek Chauvin, bijeli policajac koji je snimljen kako kleči na vratu Georgea Floyda više od devet minuta 25. svibnja 2020., proglašen je krivim za ubojstvo 2021.

Thao je zadržavao malu gomilu prolaznika dok su Chauvin i druga dva policajca svladavala Floyda, za kojeg je policija sumnjala da je u obližnjoj trgovini iskoristio krivotvorenu novčanicu od 20 dolara.

Ubojstvo je pokrenulo val prosvjeda protiv rasizma i policijske brutalnosti u SAD-u i diljem svijeta.

Druga dva policajca, Thomas Lane i J- Alexander Kueng, su držali Floydova koljena i stražnjicu dok mu je Chauvin klečao na vratu. Lane i Keung prošle godine su se izjasnili krivima na državnom sudu za pomaganje i poticanje ubojstva drugog stupnja. Lane je osuđena na tri i pol, a Kueng na tri godine zatvora.

Na saveznom suđenju prošle godine, Kueng i Lane su proglašeni krivima za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava. Lane je dobio dvije i pol, a Kueng tri godine u saveznom zatvoru, što će se dodati prethodnim kaznama.

Chauvin je osuđen na 22 i pol godine državnog zatvora za nenamjerno ubojstvo drugog stupnja. Prošle godine je za kršenje Floydovih građanskih prava osuđen na 21 godinu zatvora koja će se pridodati kazni za ubojstvo.
