Pacifička državica Nauru izrazila je zadovoljstvo postignutim "svjetskim rekordom", pošto je cjelokupno svoje odraslo stanovništvo, ukupno 7392 osobe, uspjela cijepiti prvom dozom cjepiva protiv covida-19.

Udaljeni otok jedno je od rijetkih mjesta na svijetu poznatih kao virus-free zone, a Nauru se pohvalio jer je četverotjedni program cijepljenja premašio očekivanja.

Prvu dozu cjepiva primiIo je 7392 odraslih, odnosno 108 posto procijenjene odrasle populacije, što uključuje i strance.

"Nacionalna radna skupina za koronavirus izuzetno je zadovoljna ovim svjetskim rekordom i zahvaljuje svima na uloženu trudu da Nauru održe slobodnim i sigurnim", objavila je vlada.

Predsjednik radne skupine Kieren Keke rekao je da Nauru ima dovoljno cjepiva da procijepi svo odraslo stanovništvo, ali nema mjesta samozadovoljstvu jer se testiranje nastavlja kako bi se osiguralo da otok ostane zona slobodna od virusa.

"Sa svakim putnikom koji dođe na otok, postoji opasnost od unosa virusa, a nedavni događaji u Papui-Novoj Gvineji, na Fijiju te Indiji pokazali su kako se brzo stanje može promijeniti", rekao je.

Nauru je primio cjepivo AstraZenece u sklopu Covaxa, svjetskog programa kojim se pomaže procjepljivanju stanovništva siromašnijih zemalja.

Pacifička državica Nauru izrazila je zadovoljstvo postignutim "svjetskim rekordom", pošto je cjelokupno svoje odraslo stanovništvo, ukupno 7392 osobe, uspjela cijepiti prvom dozom cjepiva protiv covida-19.

Udaljeni otok jedno je od rijetkih mjesta na svijetu poznatih kao virus-free zone, a Nauru se pohvalio jer je četverotjedni program cijepljenja premašio očekivanja.

Prvu dozu cjepiva primiIo je 7392 odraslih, odnosno 108 posto procijenjene odrasle populacije, što uključuje i strance.

"Nacionalna radna skupina za koronavirus izuzetno je zadovoljna ovim svjetskim rekordom i zahvaljuje svima na uloženu trudu da Nauru održe slobodnim i sigurnim", objavila je vlada.

Predsjednik radne skupine Kieren Keke rekao je da Nauru ima dovoljno cjepiva da procijepi svo odraslo stanovništvo, ali nema mjesta samozadovoljstvu jer se testiranje nastavlja kako bi se osiguralo da otok ostane zona slobodna od virusa.

"Sa svakim putnikom koji dođe na otok, postoji opasnost od unosa virusa, a nedavni događaji u Papui-Novoj Gvineji, na Fijiju te Indiji pokazali su kako se brzo stanje može promijeniti", rekao je.

Nauru je primio cjepivo AstraZenece u sklopu Covaxa, svjetskog programa kojim se pomaže procjepljivanju stanovništva siromašnijih zemalja.

Pacifička državica Nauru izrazila je zadovoljstvo postignutim "svjetskim rekordom", pošto je cjelokupno svoje odraslo stanovništvo, ukupno 7392 osobe, uspjela cijepiti prvom dozom cjepiva protiv covida-19.

Udaljeni otok jedno je od rijetkih mjesta na svijetu poznatih kao virus-free zone, a Nauru se pohvalio jer je četverotjedni program cijepljenja premašio očekivanja.

Prvu dozu cjepiva primiIo je 7392 odraslih, odnosno 108 posto procijenjene odrasle populacije, što uključuje i strance.

"Nacionalna radna skupina za koronavirus izuzetno je zadovoljna ovim svjetskim rekordom i zahvaljuje svima na uloženu trudu da Nauru održe slobodnim i sigurnim", objavila je vlada.

Predsjednik radne skupine Kieren Keke rekao je da Nauru ima dovoljno cjepiva da procijepi svo odraslo stanovništ...
