Cjepiva protiv covida-19 koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i AstraZeneca općenito su učinkovita protiv delta i kapa varijanti koronavirusa, koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji, pokazalo je novo znanstveno istraživanje.

Istraživanje znanstvenika Sveučilišta u Oxfordu, objavljeno u časopisu Cell, utvrđivalo je sposobnost antitijela u krvi ljudi koji su primili obje doze cjepiva da neutraliziraju jako zarazne delta i kapa varijante, navodi se u priopćenju.

"Nema dokaza za veliki virusni imunološki bijeg što sugerira da će sadašnja generacija cjepiva pružati zaštitu protiv B.1.617 virusnih varijanti", navodi se u istraživanju. Riječ je o varijantama delta i kapa koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji.

No, koncentracija neutralizirajućih antitijela u krvi bila je nešto manja, što bi moglo dovesti do određenog broja zaraza, upozoravaju znanstvenici. 

Prošli tjedan, analiza Engleske agencije za javno zdravlje (PHE) pokazala je da cjepiva koja proizvode Pfizer i AstraZeneca pružaju visoku zaštitu od više od 90 posto od hospitalizacije od delta varijante virusa.

Delta varijanta postaje globalno dominantna varijanta, kazao je u petak glavni znanstvenik Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO).

Oksfordski znanstvenici analizirali su i učestalost reinfekcije kod ljudi koji su preboljeli covid-19.

Rizik od reinfekcije delta varijantom pokazao se osobito visokim kod osoba koje su bile zaražene beta i gama varijantama koje su nastale u Južnoafričkoj Republici odnosno Brazilu.

Prethodna infekcija alfa varijantom (B117), prvi put otkrivenom u Britaniji, pruža "razumnu" zaštitu od svih varijanti koje su zabrinjavajuće pa bi mogla biti temelj za razvoj nove generacije cjepiva.

"B117 bi mogao biti kandidat za cjepiva protiv novih varijanti kako bi se osigurala najšira moguća zaštita", smatraju znanstvenici.

Cjepiva protiv covida-19 koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i AstraZeneca općenito su učinkovita protiv delta i kapa varijanti koronavirusa, koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji, pokazalo je novo znanstveno istraživanje.

Istraživanje znanstvenika Sveučilišta u Oxfordu, objavljeno u časopisu Cell, utvrđivalo je sposobnost antitijela u krvi ljudi koji su primili obje doze cjepiva da neutraliziraju jako zarazne delta i kapa varijante, navodi se u priopćenju.

"Nema dokaza za veliki virusni imunološki bijeg što sugerira da će sadašnja generacija cjepiva pružati zaštitu protiv B.1.617 virusnih varijanti", navodi se u istraživanju. Riječ je o varijantama delta i kapa koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji.

No, koncentracija neutralizirajućih antitijela u krvi bila je nešto manja, što bi moglo dovesti do određenog broja zaraza, upozoravaju znanstvenici. 

Prošli tjedan, analiza Engleske agencije za javno zdravlje (PHE) pokazala je da cjepiva koja proizvode Pfizer i AstraZeneca pružaju visoku zaštitu od više od 90 posto od hospitalizacije od delta varijante virusa.

Delta varijanta postaje globalno dominantna varijanta, kazao je u petak glavni znanstvenik Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO).

Oksfordski znanstvenici analizirali su i učestalost reinfekcije kod ljudi koji su preboljeli covid-19.

Rizik od reinfekcije delta varijantom pokazao se osobito visokim kod osoba koje su bile zaražene beta i gama varijantama koje su nastale u Južnoafričkoj Republici odnosno Brazilu.

Prethodna infekcija alfa varijantom (B117), prvi put otkrivenom u Britaniji, pruža "razumnu" zaštitu od svih varijanti koje su zabrinjavajuće pa bi mogla biti temelj za razvoj nove generacije cjepiva.

"B117 bi mogao biti kandidat za cjepiva protiv novih varijanti kako bi se osigurala najšira moguća zaštita", smatraju znanstvenici.

Cjepiva protiv covida-19 koja su razvili Pfizer/BioNTech i AstraZeneca općenito su učinkovita protiv delta i kapa varijanti koronavirusa, koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji, pokazalo je novo znanstveno istraživanje.

Istraživanje znanstvenika Sveučilišta u Oxfordu, objavljeno u časopisu Cell, utvrđivalo je sposobnost antitijela u krvi ljudi koji su primili obje doze cjepiva da neutraliziraju jako zarazne delta i kapa varijante, navodi se u priopćenju.

"Nema dokaza za veliki virusni imunološki bijeg što sugerira da će sadašnja generacija cjepiva pružati zaštitu protiv B.1.617 virusnih varijanti", navodi se u istraživanju. Riječ je o varijantama delta i kapa koje su prvi put identificirane u Indiji.
